I've just changed my internet WiFi router. I've followed the instructions to configure the communciation by WiFi but there is no SET button at the bottom of the WiFi configuration page? can you please help.
@GoodWeSolarAcademy - We have to 2 x10KW inverter we are planining to use a HK3000 this model of homekit can connect to 2 inverter and can do limit the export and monitor?
Hi Arins, thank you for your question. Actually, homekit HK1000 is only work for one single phase inverter, it cannot work for two inverters. For you case, if the two inverters are single phase, then you can only use two CTs for export power limit at 15kW. If these two are three phase inverters, you will need a SEC1000 with three CTs to set the export power limit.
@GoodWe Solar Academy - We are getting GW5000D-NS inverter installed with our solar system and we have been told that we can monitor the usage via mobile app 24/7. Can you please confirm if this is true for this model or do we need to install this Homekit in the video for that purpose? Thanks
@@GoodWeSolarAcademy Thank you for your reply. I have added this home kit HK1000 to my solar installation order. However, I am interested to see the demo of how the interface works on the web portal and mobile app but I can't find this on your website or anywhere else. How do I know what all information will I get to see when using this device. I wanted to compare this with other smart monitoring devices such as Powersensor which allows all the monitor based on consumption from solar, consumption from the grid, export to the grid all by kw as well as by $ amount based on custom input of electricity tariff and Solar Analytics which are Australian devices. Does Goodwe HK1000 allow all the above as well? And will it work on multiple mobile phones of each family member at the same time? And will this also show information about solar battery if we have a system with battery installed? Thanks
@@zakshaikh5659 Sorry for the late reply. You can use our SEMS Portal App to monitor the system, and we also provide the website:www.semsportal.com/home/login. You can check the demo at 03:28 of this video, which shows the interface works on the mobile App, and of course, you can see the battery information. Our app doesn't support multiple mobiles to login in to one account at the same time, but it is possible to create visitor roles for the plants so that family members can monitor the systems as well. For more questions, you can contact us via community@goodwe.com, and we will provide you with more detailed answers.
Homekit can monitor loads consumption 24/7 but the inverter will power off at night. So homekit has independant power supply and seperate data transmission method to keep monitoring loads consumption at night. Smart meter is only for power limit but no monitoring function, so it doesn't need seperate data transmission method.
@@GoodWeSolarAcademy what i mean is since the inverter might be far away from the main panel where the meter needs to be, it must have a long run for the comunication cable

What if there are two identical GoodWe inverters, 10kW + 10kW. And grid allows export up to 15kW maximum. How should it be configured?

Homekit is a must to have 24/7 consumption monitroing.

Hi. I am having issues where as the house uses more electricity from the Grid with the Inverter connected/ON
Can i limit the export to grid as well with this homekit?
do you have an aswer to this?
Hello. The Energy indicator light on my DNS5000 is off. I have no RS485 module on the Inverter only a CT and DRED connector
Hi,generally, this means that your inverter is in a situation where WIFI is not activated.
If home kit has wifi built in why has the smart meter to be wired to the inverter?

Hi. How do I connect the RS485 on the HK1000 to the DNS1000 inverter. There is only a CT and DRED connector
