Nick built himself a gorgeous 1970 Challenger, just like the one in Vanishing Point. Dan like it so much, he asked Nick to build him one too. Tonight, the car is ready to go.

I wanted a restorer not only with the skills and knowledge, but also a passion for Challengers- and that is exactly what I got. You all saw what I handed to Nick, now you see what he's handed back. Thanks to Nick and his crew for making this dream come true!
If I could get any car back it would be my 70 Dodge Coronet with the 2 barrel Carter carburetor. The only change would be to have a 5 speed stick shift transmission instead of the automatic. That wasn't a tire burning car but it was a sweet cruiser.
Word Dan must be pretty amazing to witness the culmination of your Kowalski Challenger plan Thanks for sharing good man
Youre very smart and so lucky I bet you'll be winning trophys at car shows with it even if there's another 7 Kowalski clones there yours will be the best out of all of them lol! Beside the 5 general Lee clones and the blues Brothers cars hahahahahaha 😆 🤣 😂 😄 😅
@@danpatterson8009 congratulations and enjoy that gorgeous car.
@danpatterson ---> stay away from the 68 mustangs in San Francisco, it's an undercover cop
Vanishing point. A cult classic !
The Torqueflite 727 shifts so good it chirps the tires when shifting to Second love that. That’s the way a transmission should work Nick.
1970 Dodge challenger…
Possibly the best looking car ever made !!!
I have a 2016 Shaker edition six-speed triple black car absolutely love it challengers is always one of my most favorite muscle cars ever built I love the style this was a great show thank you for sharing. 👍👍👍💥✌️🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁
Hi Nick: You know back in the day I graduated HS in 72. So I grew up in the muscle car hey day. And my HS was in Oak park Ill. I went to HS with many rich kids.
I say all that to say this. I have been in some scary fast cars on the street. I had a '65 GTO that I put an L89 396 in and my dad had a '70 SS 454 Monte Carlo. They were both were pretty darn fast cars.
However, a guy in my auto shop class, he was from a very rich family. He shows up one day with a brand new '70 HEMI Challenger, 4spd. car. So we had to go for a ride. Nick it scared the living dogshit out of me! So your build reminds me of those great old days. Great job Nick.
Haha. Great memory. Thanks for being here.
Great to see. I wish I could of put my 70 Challenger next to those two beauties. Mine is identical to those two except it is warmed up 340 and 727 automatic with 8 3/4 rear end. Air gap aluminum intake with a 750 Carter AVS. Crane cam .500 lift. Cyclone headers and a Milodon 7 qt. Oil pan with a Melling oil pump. Heads have been slightly ported with 3 angle valve job. I have owned it since 1979. I still enjoy driving it every week. And living in the Carolinas allows me the opportunity to do so. Thanks Nick and to Dan, what a pleasure you are in for. It is a Time Machine. Nick knows what I mean and you will too. Have fun.
Hope you and your boys had a great time in Carlisle! 🇺🇸🇨🇦
You just have to love Nick, We don’t wanna break anything as he lays rubber all the way down the street! Hell yeah! 🤣
Yes, it is all about the details
It is very rare for me to look at a car and not notice something
When I used to do body work you go around 4 or 5 times and then when you just think you got it all then look at the rockers
Dan is a lucky man!! Thanks to Nick and Crew!!
Everybody involved in this show are cool people. Nick,Manny,Robert,George, Tom,Maverick and Nico. All neat folks. So its really easy to watch and enjoy. Cheers guys, from New Zealand
I'll bet the people in the guard tower really enjoy when Nick test drives by the prison! Nice ride Nick and crew! Thanks!
They have never complained! 👍
Let Nick know that Callies Performance has acquired the original Mopar tooling for 440 engine blocks and Gen 2 Hemi engine from 65-71. They have a foundry in Fostoria Ohio where they cast the blocks. They also produce OEM Hemi Cranks. This might give him another option if he has future customers that want an OEM block
Beautiful work as always Nick. I was 15 in 1970 & watched "Vanishing Point" at the local Drive-In. One of the best car chase movies ever.
Dana "60" Glass. Always enjoy when you have the opportunity to shake down the projects you finish, but this was special. Great attention to detail as usual, and the craftmanship always top notch. Just to see you enjoy an almost exact replica of your Kowalski. Slap sticks are amazing. Dan will absolutely love it. Still ironic that even though it's an automatic, the white Challenger made it to San Fransisco many years later.
Definitely no stumble there, Nick, and that Sure-Grip is working fine.
Absolutely McLovin' the alongside camera angles!! So much better than that periscope-cam!! Keep it up, y'all!
Dan, enjoy your beautiful restoration and Kawalski clone. Nick and everyone well done on another challenger saved and on the road again. You guys seriously rock!!! George, thanks for filming this from a basket case to cool driver!!! 😎👍
After seeing the twin Kowalski Challengers I had to watch the "Vanishing Point" movie (it's free on UTube). I first saw "Vanishing Point" when it came out in 1971. At the beginning it shows a 426 Challenger RT and for the rest of the movie they used 440 Magnum cars - no need to destroy five Hemi Challengers. It was nice to see Kowalski using the pistol grip to punch through the gears of the 4-speed.
These Challengers in this color and kept simple are as beautiful as the '63 Vette or XKE , I remember I first saw one on the cover of Hot Rod magazine in basic training.
How very amazing two 1970 Dodge Challenger
built by Nick and his dream garage......Thanks so much from an Old nasty flying Shoe 🇺🇸
Thank you, Steve.
Beautiful car and that's a given. I think George is one of the finest videographers on UA-cam. If you watch this video critically and take time to consider all the angles he achieves, it's magic. Great stuff, George! UA-cam should have an award show or something. 😊
Thanks for that!
Nick the Kowalski Challenger is Outstanding!! Masterpiece
All the cars in your shop are beautiful, but after becomming a fan, I have grown to love the Challenger. I'm a Chevy man but those first gen Challengers are beautiful.
Good seeing you at carlisle this weekend Nick
Plenty of power spins the tires easily good job guys
bad ass car! a friend of mine from h. school got a 440 6pack auto challenger for graduation. she wanted a 4spd but her dad said no. i got to drive it quite a lot! another friend had a challenger 340 auto, both were very quick cars. then another class mate got aar cuda for grad.! his girlfriend wrecked it last day of school doing a burnout, wrapped around a tree in front of the h. school& totaled it! true story!
From one Dan to another, you will be the coolest guy on your block. Thanks for sharing Nick
Turned out like we all knew it would PERFECT! Nick has the touch you can't bring it to a better person spot on build as usual buddy's going to be all sticky in the shorts when he's driving it hahahahahaha 😆 🤣 😂 😅 😜 😄 😆
I saw the movie when it came out in the theater not long after I got out of the Army and like you, Nick, I fell in love with the car and the movie.
What a great looking car and runs like new.
The 440's got it! This is one good looker too! And folks, to get a car to look and drive like this one takes more manual hours than anyone can imagine!
You can really see Georges efforts in this video, well done. Beautiful car, "one more on the road".
What a treat 3 of the most beautiful cars on the planet on one road....nice one Nick and the team for bringing the noise and the cars together ❤️
Mr.Nick , you and the Krew do beautiful work !!! The quality and attention to detail is museum quality!!!! So many great cars from Nick's Garage!!!
LOVED THIS!! Great job guys! 👍🏼 🚙💨 🇨🇦 🇺🇸 🇬🇷 🇦🇺 🇬🇧 🇸🇪 🇮🇹 🏁
That car is undeniably glorious.
Vanishing point is a awesome movie. One of my favourites. Followed closely by Christine with the 58 Plymouth. Beautiful car Nick you guys did a awesome job. All the black lines on the rds yours Nick lol 👍
The cars, the camera work and the time of day for filming made for an exceptional show!! Well done!!
Thank you very much!
For a partial restoration this thing turned out awesome! Beautiful car, congrats to the owner and thank you to the nicks garage community for keeping another one on the streets
Another fine example of the Kowalski Challenger in Alpine White Nick! You put it to the pace and all went well. The owner will be very happy. Thanks for another great video George! 😁
Much appreciated!
I'll take a clone in EF8 Dark Green Metallic, with some meaner cam chop and a touch more exhaust!
Dr. Nick , and the A team nice work on Kowalski's twin, perhaps there will be a triplet some day, nice work on the video George, cheers.
Maybe one day!
3 very beautiful cars! I hope the owner was real happy when he got the car back better than new!
Thank you Nick for the ride along and to George for the great camera work to make this a great video for us to see!
So Beautiful. I hope Dan drives this car on the street, let its beauty shine. Well done Nick and Crew.
Impeccable work and looks great!
Thank you very much!
I have been watching Nick's Garage for years........That one minute fifty seconds at the end was the best segment ever...Nick and the three Challengers in the street........Love your passion Nick....................Jeff Thompson Rockford Illinois................................great job George and everyone putting these videos together...........thank you for your channel
Nick and his crew really know how to build beautiful muscle cars.
Like a proud papa!
Nick, obvious to see how much you love what you do.
Awesome car. Thanks for posting.
I love ❤️ it….. all the Challengers!
Good evening, guys!!! It was such a pleasure seeing Nick at Carlisle again, and also to meet the other guys who accompanied him, Tom, Maverick, Manny, Robert, Johnnie, Romano, and two other gentlemen whose names escape me at the moment. The only thing that would've made it absolutely perfect would be if Niko and George could've made it too!!! Maybe next time, eh? The twin Kowalski Challenger is excellente!!! I know the owner will enjoy it immensely. Great week to you guys, and stay cool!!!
You’re the best, Joel. ❤️
@@NicksGarage Thanks, George!! You guys ROCK!!! Really looking forward to coming up for a visit!!!
I just filmed the Carlisle PA show last week and someone commented on one of my videos that your Vanishing point Challenger was there, Where was it? I also sold some parts to someone that said they were from Nick's Garage, and also met a lot of Canadians at my booth that suggested I watch your channe. Watched this vid, and I loved it! Thanks for the content!
Great job to you and your crew on this build. Challenger looks fantastic and runs strong. Congrats to the owner of this Dodge. Thanks for taking us along, Nick and George!
Thanks 👍
Hi Nick & George, I remember seeing Dan's car when it arrived at your shop. All I can say is what a before & after transformation!! If you want it done right, send it to Nick and his "Dream Team" they can accomplish anything, the impossible takes just a little longer. Dan will have an awesome car to drive anywhere he wants to go. Another fantastic build by Nick's Garage, the best channel on UA-cam.
Much appreciated, Mr Eugene. Thanks and take care.
hi Eugene.
@@ericball6000 Hi Eric, I hope all is well.
@@NicksGarage Thank you George, I really enjoyed this video, and I know that Nick did too, hehehe. The test drive videos are my favorite. I'm waiting to see your 230 six on the Dyno.
Aren't we all Eugene! How are you keeping these days Eugene and when are you hoping to pick up your 500, soon I hope!
If there’s anybody to build a Kawalski Challenger it’s Nick!
Nick an his crew sure do know how to bulid some amazing car's an George does amazing filming job all the time for nick
I had a 70 Challenger 340 4 speed, small block ran pretty good.
Very nice!
Would love one of those myself.
Beautifully restored Challenger. Gosh, do modern cars look boring in comparison!
What a likable guy and mountain of knowledge.
FYI Barry Newman who played Kowalski died last May 2023 at the age of 92. The movie came out in 1970. I was 16 years old and had just got my drivers licence. I have copies on vhs and dvd.
Hi Nicks from Hungary.
Awsome! Hi there.
@@NicksGarage Thank You Nicks.
For a moment there I thought I was watching Vanishing Point! Thanks Nick.
No worries!

We would have liked to drive it all the way to Dan's place.
Wow Nick that would of been something special for sure seeing you hand it over to Dan, the look on his face would of been priceless too!
Fantastic result. Love the interior, especially the console. Had a slap stick in my ‘72 Charger R/T
Very cool!

I had a 70 challenger E5 bright red 383, N code High performance, 727 auto with 3;23 rear back in the 80's I sure wish I'd kept it, wish I'd kept alot of them, there such beautiful cars! Thanks for sharing Nick!👍
Very nice!

Truly an amazing car, man i wish i could afford to get one built there. 6.1 and a 6 speed 😊
That's another sweet ride Nick. You should be proud. Has my old jealousy bone itching.
Okay 👍👌😊. You truly da absolutivly posolutely best engine builder in the world and I am definitely going to be bringing in my Mopar muscle cars to get built!!! Because there's a few on my list of favourite cars that are Mopars!!! Thanks for your time and attention to this matter! Can't wait to meet you soon! Ciao for now. Out 😮❤❤❤❤
Wow, thank you!
Evenin Mr George an Mr Nick! Have a Great week!!
Thanks, you too!
Good stuff. The “Vanishing Point” Challenger. Legend. All you need was the late Barry Newman, aka Kowalski, to be the wheelman on a break in drive. No stick, though? Ugh!!!Love this show, Nick!
Thank you.
Hello Nick ,George, Manny, and Krew !!! Beautiful car and man she sure looks great !!!! Great sound and moves just fine . Owner going to love this girl !!! Hope yall are having a good time at the car show . Be safe going around . Big Wave and Smile to all !!!
Very nice! Awesome No check engine light! Hahha😂😂😂. Beautifully done guys! Thanks for sharing 👍
Our pleasure!
That's another real cool car, Nick ! He's going to be ecstatic when he receives it ! Another good job, men. Cheers from New Zealand
Thanks so much! And hello New Zealand.
Awesome. Nice shots of all of them with the marker lights on in the sunset!
Fantastic videography Nick's Garage delivers a weekly dose of automotive pornography Dan like Nick thinks Vanishing Point is just the trick and when you want a replica built Nick's Garage is who you pick It hasn't got the pistol grip but it's slap stick is sick The tyres ain't polyglass but's still a blast more than capable of takin names n kickin ass Nick just has to test the limits of adhesion to make sure when he hands off the car every component is working together in perfect cohesion He don't beat on cars without mechanical empathy for shredding tyres hes got a reason Thanks Nick and Dan Bless your heart George beautiful video
nice vanishing point clone, barry newman will be looking down at it with A smile on his face may he rest in peace
That (goblin) actor didn't make it into the kingdom of Heaven and isn't looking down where he is, he is down there.
Nice to see you finally in Carlisle, I remember you planned it a couple of years back but covid took that option away. You had so many people around I didn’t approach you, hope to see you again.
Next time!
you cant break a torqflite 904 or 727. the overdrive units are more of a pain. there is more electrical solenoids and a overdrive unit that is very heavy. it actually slows the vehicle down a bit. awesome build nick.i was supposed to go to carlisle. i didt make it because i had to take my father to the doctors.i wanted to say hi but hope i will make it next year.
Great job Nick🎉❤
Much appreciated.
Awesome just Awesome !!
Thanks a lot Nick you did such a good job and now I want one.
Another great job, Nick! And thank you for the ride along. I could almost smell the beautiful fragrance…..from Hamilton Ontario. 👋
What a dream. What. A. Dream.
nothing less than *_AWESOME_* 🏁
All it needs now is the polyglas
@14:31 Goosebumps! Reminds me from a scene straight out of Vanishing Point. Excellent work, Nick! If I ever wanted a Challenger, It's exactly like that one!!! Beautiful!
Nice going Nick, from a old muscle car nut from London Ont
Right on.
