I’d not consider it a quadrilogy when the fourth movie is not really a direct sequel or prequel to the other three films, even if they are connected because they are in the same timeline.
@Rainbow Dash lmao I've actually been studying the most recent notes on the language in hopes of making Bionicle animations in an 'original sub' version
The only thing that could improve this would be music from Nathan furst, The guy who did the Miramax trilogy score. It’s just not Bionicle without him.
Holy shit this is really well done!! I absolutely love how you try to paint Jaller as the chosen one, but have Takua have some kind of strange connection to Makuta Teridax. The use of the most is great and I love how wonderfully paced the trailer is. It feel authentic and seems like a sincere movie we would see coming from Hollywood. I was immediately absorbed into this and I felt so happy to see my childhood come back to life. The fact that we see the Toa struggle so much, and have the Makuta be presented as more of a cunning manipulator is a lovely touch. Also, excellent timing on each beat. You obviously put a lot of love into this and earned yourself a new subscriber :3 My only complaint is the lack of views. Clearly the Gods of UA-cam are cunts. This deserves so much more attention than the average tiktok crap that is churned out without any effort.
It is what it is. Dead franchises and the algorithm aren’t the best of mates. Honestly, getting comments like these, even on videos like this that I feel pretty iffy about thanks to stuff I was still figuring out at the time (*cough* the sound *cough*), it means a lot more than a few hundred thousand more views ever would.
@@APinchofBazel When people call BIONICLE a "dead franchise," I like to call to mind the words of Toa Lhikan as the Inika began to descend the staircase to the Mask of Life in _Legends #5 Inferno_ : "Am I dead in your memories? Am I dead in your hearts? Because if the answer to those questions is no, then I am not truly dead."
That was just awesome. I love how you set each part of this video up, such as how and when you had Makuta's plan introduced, and how his talking with Takua starts and ends it. So many fun details and shots, and really does have a modern feel to it, without, in my opinion, taking away from what Mask of Light is/was.
I would love to see the entire story of Bionicle adapted into an animated series, something Samurai Jack style maybe, I think that would fit quite well.
Most of that trailer is great and there are even scen I never saw before (probably deleted scenes)... The reason why I put a thumb down is the beginning of the trailer itself and the way Jaller said totally wilingly that he would seek the Seventh Toa without any word to say that Takua would be part of the journey. About the beginning, just hearing the name Takua 2 times before we even have the chance to know how do he looks isn't fiting there cause it not explains properly about the universe (or the background if you prefer) the story is going in and what is the true problem that same world face that prevent him to be in peace... Just my opinion though... and that's still a good try!
I've actually been thinking about putting out another cut for this one. Mostly just because this was before I had direct audio rips from the DVDs, where I was desperately ducking out of the way of the film's original score (and the fact that you can still hear it really bugs me), but also because, like you said, Takua never gets a "proper" introduction, even though there's a glaring opportunity literally right after Jaller's "I will" line. It's been one of those hindsight niggles that I should probably just iron out sooner rather than later.
@@APinchofBazel Huh, I guess it wasn't you. I had posted some Google Drive links with subtitles for you, but the comments disappeared. Maybe there's a spam filter that caught them. Are you on Discord? Then I can send them to you :)
Further to my comment on the LoMN video, I LOVE the use of Makuta audio from a couple of the deleted scenes in this one; fantastic touch! Was that clip of Guurahk crushing a kolhii ball beneath it's foot from a deleted scene, too? I don't remember ever seeing it before.
Makuta’s audio probably took up the most work out of any of the dialogue, both here and in the LOMN trailer. The deleted scenes were a nice extra repository to pick from (with no background SFX or score to worry about), but he also got the most line-splicing out of any character to make his lines either flow better, or simply fit new situations. His line in LOMN to Dume? Two deleted scene lines from MoL spliced together. The lines at the beginning of this trailer? Both have their subjects replaced with “you” to make them seem directed to Takua himself. And of course, his other lines are abbreviated to flow with the trailer’s pace while still getting the point across. Being a slow talker will do that to you. I’m glad to hear it all worked for you guys in the end. Also yeah, Guurahk crushing the kolhii ball is from a deleted scene too. Same for the quick shot of him smashing his staff into the ground.
@@APinchofBazel It's not like deleted scenes don't sometimes get into the trailers in real movies or they add extra animation that's never in the movie. ;-)
"With any luck I'll finish this quadrilogy before 2022."
Gamer don't toy with our emotions like that

once again thrusting me into the timeline where we got a Matoran Cinematic Universe for a moment

This was fantastic! Excellent editing job and really made me hyped even for a movie I’ve seen countless times
Fancy seeing you here, Duckbricks.
Thought it was just gonna be another quick low-tier meme, but this actually _goes _*_really hard?_* I'm impressed, it's actually quite phenomenal!
Hot damn that gave me chills. Now if I ever wanna show the movie to my friends, this trailer is what I'll show them first to convince them
Happy Bionicle Day!
Wow I have goosebumps
That was brilliant, nicely done
Woah, this is great! I've watched it multiple times already, and it feels like a definitive trailer for the movie. Excellent job!
You've done it again, you absolute madman.
I expected this to be bad bc a lot of fan made trailers a re bad but this blew me away. Honestly full marks my guy 👍
Awesome dude. Definitely professional quality.
I can't wait!
EDIT: This is fantastic! Makes me want to watch it all over again ^^
Oooooo.... gave me chills.
Ngl. This is so good! Do more of this!

Love that sequence of sync ups at the end.
I really miss the Miramax Bionicle movies.
Amazing quality
The interpolation of "17,000 B.C." at the very beginning is too slick.
As a longtime fan I really appreciate that.
I’m no composer, but as a score nut your work has meant a lot to me.
Absolutely fantastic. Can't wait til this comes out!
nice editing
Ooh-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo! 🤩 This is epic beyond belief!
this is very well edited. Hats off to you
YOOOOO THIS IS SICK!!
Good heavens
This was fantastic!
holy SHIT THAT WAS FUCKIN NUTS

The way you reordered the dialogue between Takua and Makuta works so much better in this, it's astonishing.
Absolutely fantastic
Great editing!
I expected fully infected Tahu somewhere in the end. Great edit tho.

Anyone else getting Vecna vibes from Makuta?
Just me? Okay, never mind. 😉
I mean, Rahkshi are basically Demogorgons, but okay, never mind. 👉👈
