I would choose the classic converse all Star high top in black because I can do almost anything in them except for running and fast treadmill walking. Since a teen I have only have been wearing converse I can skate in them, do MMA in them, ride my bike in them and they are the best gym shoe. I personally believe are comfortable and last long, my leather converse high-top's lasted 7y and I literally did everything in them! :) I also believe that converse are the most unmaterialistic shoe that there is and the opposite of greed, even tho I love my chucks I refuse to have a collection, I used to have like 9 chucks but I decided to donate them to the poor cuz they need them more than me, so now I only have 2 pair of chucks. Life is too short for me to worry about my shoes or to start a sneakers collection that why I ended up wearing the same shoe/shoe style for so many years :)
Great choice and great attitude. I’ve always given my shoes and skateboard products to friends who aren’t as fortunate my whole life. You can’t beat the chucks!
I’d have to pick the Adidas ZX 750. But one of the comfiest skate shoes I ever wore (here in the UK) was the Converse skate. Is there any love in the US for the Saucony jazz…a really trendy wear over here at the moment. Also, could you tell me how comfy the Marathon TR is, as I’ve got my eye on a pair of green ones. I love the zx 750 as well. Yes people have love for the Jazz it’s more of a niche thing but I do see a lot of runners in the newer Saucony’s. For me the Marathon TR has a classic Adidas comfort - interior well padded for the era, outsole isn’t as clunky as a full cupsole, era correct midsole foam but at least it’s there making it more comfy than a Campus, Gazelle or the shelltoes. It can be a bit narrow and sometimes Adidas sizing is off (I think due to diff factories and lasts used throughout the years to produce the same models) but to me they are comfortable as an all day walker.
