Went out on it Wednesday with stock brakes, it was a bit sketchy down hill. Ordered a Tektra Orion 4 piston for the front. Installed it yesterday and my god what a difference in braking and the best thing it only cost me £50 for the caliper ,brake lever and a new rotor.
@@Miketyler , I do like to venture up on the North Yorkshire Moors so the upgrade was essential. Now to find a good way of transporting my camera and tripod so I can do a bit of photography as well!
fantastic bike for the cash you look like you are enjoying it you will start to look for more places to ride and hope to see more vids from your bike rides
Mike, thanks for the videos, the trails you ride are good and very quiet. The Voodoo is a nice looking bike and a reasonable price with full suspension and the E7000 is a quiet motor. Ever thought about de- restricting it .
Morning Graham. I do like that there aren’t too many people on the local trails, makes for a relaxing ride. The bikes great, especially for the money compared to others. I have looked at derestricting it using STunlocker but to be honest, the sort of riding I do really doesn’t want for more speed. I have the Boardman for speed and distance. :)
You can relocate the sensor near the pedals, once you do that you can tape a small strong magnet behind the pedal. It tricks the sensor and de-restricts it :)... 25-30 mph
@@calbo555 Been thinking about the Voodoo myself,if it's deristricted doesn't it invalidate warranty and will the speedometer control show a false reading?
I recently got my bike serviced by Capt Jack of Lost Yak. He runs a mobile outfit that would beat the muppets at Halfords, hands down. I can’t recommend the dude high enough. I really do need to do a video on my bike and two years of ownership.
I have never had a problem. Mine is still limited to 15 mph as they come out of the factory but the power does not seem an issue at all. I can't remember where in the video now but there is a couple of steep climbs to try it and it didn't bother it
Amazing Reviews btw. I’m hoping to get this Bike really soon but at the moment none of them are available to order (at least from where I live) on the Halfords website. I know It’s been out for a while. What size is your Bike if you don’t mind me asking? It’s just I’m 6 Feet - 6 Foot 1 tall but I’m 17 Stone and I’m struggling to decide on the 18 Inch or 20 Inch Frames. It’s going to be my first Bike in a long time (I’m 30 years old) and my first ever Electric Mountain Bike I’ve ever owned. But really looking forward to finally getting one (as soon as I can order one from where I live on the Halfords Website).
Hay Ollie, I do love the Zobop, but I think the Bizango must be great too. I had a hard tail normal mountain bike before this and always wanted full suspension, so took the plunge. I bet yours is much lighter then mine?
@@Miketyler To be honest i think its heavier being a 29er and larger frame. I managed to speak to halford and they are more than happy for me to swap my bizango for the zobop and pay the difference which is happy days, the only down side is they havent got any in stock and they sell like hot cakes so i have to wait but hopefully they will have more soon. Did you have to wait long for yours?
I personally think it’s terrible, but can be done. However, I wouldn’t recommend it. But, to be honest, how fare are you going to ride on a full suspension bike? If you’re going for miles, and keep the speed up, you’re not using battery.
Just come across this Mike, really enjoyed the honesty of the video and lack of bull. This is my type of riding and I can how much fun you were having. Ive got a Voodoo Bizango and really enjoy it, but am getting to the point where the hills are just too long and not really enjoying them as much as I did. Would you still recommend the Zobop, a year on? cheers
Thanks so much for commenting, glad you like the video. It is my honest non expert views 😊 I haven’t used the bike as much as have liked as family commitments have meant I’m doing family bike rides, so tend to use a standard bike. However, whenever I go out on the Zobop, it still brings a huge smile to my face, and it’s still working perfectly. I’m not really up to date with what else is available for the same money now, so worth doing your homework, the only negative I guess, is it’s heavy, so if you come to a style or somewhere you need to lift it…. Well, it’s hard bloody work! 😂😂😂 but I’m guessing most ebikes have the same issue.
@@Miketyler Thanks for the info Mike. good to hear that you are still enjoying the bike (when you get the chance). Still haven't seen anything better for the price and hoping to get one soon. Cheers👍🏻
Great video Mike,it looks really smooth out on the trail. Very tempted to buy one, It's funny but I think 15.5 mph is fine for the trails but I'm sure I've read that 20 mph is okay off-road? Cheers mate and subbed.👍🍺
Thanks for subscription, 15.5 is fast enough on the trails like you say, but a little more speed would be great for longer off road tracks. And it's slow on the road
@@mscott-bell6332 it is crazy money but you have to remember they are a massive capacity really. What sort of range do you want? I’ve yet to run out of power on my rides, but I know I’m not an extreme rider 😊
I just bought the bike and it's my first bike. Although its an awesome bike I'm afraid to ride it in public as I don't want it getting stolen by beign pushed off the bike and someone running off with it. I live in London...

What's it like to pedal when the battery has gone flat? 🤔 Is it manageable or really heavy peddling.
