Hi Mike I was just wondering if you could help me. When applying for fostering do they speak with family members outside of my home? What if I have no relationship with a sibling? Do I need to declare this? Thanks Toni
Hi Toni, thanks for asking. Families can be complicated and an assessor should appreciate that. Relationships will be explored, including relationships with peers, siblings, parents etc. it’s important to be honest, in my experience, trying to hide things will be more worrying to the assessor than actual difficulties in a relationships. Hope that helps.
Can you ride his way on a bike?
Interested
Hello, new subscriber here! I've just bought this bike and find the gearing a bit 'off' as you did. Would you be able to film how to do the adjustments? That would be really helpful 😊
I found a few good videos, I'll see if I can find one. Thanks for subscribing! Hope you like the bike, It's still one of my favourites
Looks like a great ride Mike, i’m going to give it a go on my Zobop. Don’t think I’d get away with boost on all the time though 😂
Have a great ride! It would be fun in the rain today!! 🤣
@@Miketyler 👍
Great video you still got it, thinking about buying one
Cheers, yes, and still my choice of bike to ride! Had to play with the gears fairly regular but, at least I'm quite good at setting them now 🤣
Can you get a speedbox for these ?
Nice MTB - i am Daniel/Dan, i don’t know if you remember me though. I was friends with Alex H. :) I ride mountain bikes and i have a Specialized Rockhopper
Thanks Mike - live close to this and have been discovering all the trails recently. I was searching for the perfect woody route I can quickly do in an evening and this is it. It's also great because when you get to the turn back down the way you've already come, you could repeat the circle section as many times as your want 👍
Perfect! It is a great local place to play. My 9-year-old loves it too
Did it today - last Forrest climb after the golf course is actually a bit of a killer 😂 especially in the wet. Those damn tree roots. Great route though!
@@MooChimp no grip! All adds to the fun 😉
did you ever post the strava route for this tour?
Morning, I can't remember, but think I did, it will be here somewhere 😊 Check out Mike on Strava www.strava.com/athletes/8093831
Do your forks go to complete lock out or does turning the crown to the lock position just stiffen the forks up a bit ?
Morning, they lock completely
@@Miketyler thanks Mike . Looking forward to more of your posts👍👍
@@NinjaEngland3639 hope to get out more once the kids are back so school 😊😊
Great video thanks. I’ve just bought the Zobop with the E8000 so just getting used to it 👍
Mike who got you out on a run on Monday
You
Hi Mike
Evening 🙂
Is this just pedal assistan or dose it have a throttle?? Sweet bike tho must say
Morning! Just pedal assist, So legal in the UK. I do like to look at some of the electric motorbikes though! 🙂🙂
@MikeTyler okay thank you. How fast can it roughly go mate
@@albykillick3700 I think 15-20mph, anything over that is pedal power... Can feel slow on the road
I can get 1 via trade and stuff for around 1850 or so you reckon its a no brainer ?
That is an amazing price, well worth it
@MikeTyler only issue currently is with stock there aren't any close to me rn So I might in a small bit one of the vitus e-sommets that are 2022 instead of 2023 as then they are 30% off baseline then I can get more off after
Stock seems to be an ongoing issue, I guess because I represent good value. The Virus will be a great bike to I'm sure. Never rode one but the whole range seems to get very good reviews
Hello, Mike!
Hello! Thanks for following 😊😊
@@MiketylerNo problem at all!
Good tip is to befriend someone who works at halfords they can get them at trade price so got mine for 1800
That's a top tip and excellent price!
just bought 1 myself s8000 battery also bought the chip to double the speed but for time being im leaving it stock
Brilliant, how are you getting on with it?
Yep thats its a slog and certainly not all laughs like other vidos show.ive had my fill of busting a testicle on muddy rides 😂
🤣😍
You Sold it to me, gonna buy the apple watch 😅
Is this worth getting over say the cyrusher Ranger?
Love everything but the name
Fair point 😂
@@Miketyler it legitimately puts me off aha how have you found the bike now 2 years on?
@@DylanMcleavy I still love it, but must admit it gets little use these days as have little children... Now riding a standard hard tail with a toddler in an trailer 😂🥰
Ahh I see, I’m gonna take one for a test ride and see how it compares Cheers though, look forward to more vids ✌🏻
Hi Mike What frame size is yours please I’m of similar build and height as you thanks Steve
what do you think is better? this or the CXR 8.9? overweight female, wanting road bike not to aggressive that can go on some tracks and paths with kids? plus dealing with our terrible roads! 5ft 7 female. I wont be tearing around the place I was set on the CXR but then found the ADV 8.9 and think this would be better but I am so new to this?
Morning, thank for your comment. I've looked at the specs for the CXR 8.9 and it looks very good! However, I have never ridden one. I have had a couple of road bikes previously and I personally find them quite scary! 😂😂 I also had a lower spec Cyclo-cross Boardman some years ago (I can't recall the model), and although I liked it, and it was faster on the roads than the ADV, I still prefer the ADV as I feel it is a bit more forgiving and gentle the wider wheels and fatter tires. I try to avoid main roads, I prefer riding on tracks and cycle routes, and most of the time, it's with my children. So I think it really depends on the riding you are going to do. I would love to know other people's thoughts on this? Maybe Halfords will loan me one to test!? 😂😂🥰🥰
If the battery goes flat can you still ride these etc like if your far from home, also is it disk or hydraulic
You n ed to keep an eye on the battery level, so if you notice you're getting low, keep it on Eco. Once you get going, it's fine then. The breaks are hydraulics disk, not the best but fine if you're not into anything too extreme ☺️
Could I upgrade the back sprocket to 10 or 12 speed
I'm not sure to be honest, worth checking with a local bike shop. I have never found the number/ ratio of the gears a problem.
Great vid Mike...I just followed the route from stirchley via the town park... lovely area through Lawley and beyond...daz👍
Thanks buddy, it's great to get out on days like this. Can't wait for the kids to go back to school! 😂😂
I was there it was amazing
We left with huge smiles and full of pride to be part of Telford ❤️
Telford is amazing we are so lucky to be apart of telford
Who else was there? We loved it, the kids were absolutely amazed ❤️
Wow
Hi I like your vids👍..I'm buying a engwe engine 750w ebike..how long do you think it would take for me to cover 20 mile to work? It will go up to 30mph... many thanks Daz
Cheers Daz, if you could keep up 30mph, you would get to work in about 40 minutes, but I guess realistically, an hour? 🙂 Let us know
@@Miketyler thanks Mike for your reply..keep up the good work... weather permitting that is 😭
@@shroplad8585 no worries, thank you! It looks horrible outside, had a day at home today. Catching up on housework... Leaving the life! 🤣🤣
What's the top speed ,do you need to cycle or can you press a button an go ,thanks
This is a UK road legal bike, So they are all the same. You have to pedal for the motor to give assistance. When you buy them they give assistance up to 15 mph, anything faster than that is pedal power. You can download an app to increase the speed by changing the region/ country.
Went out on it Wednesday with stock brakes, it was a bit sketchy down hill. Ordered a Tektra Orion 4 piston for the front. Installed it yesterday and my god what a difference in braking and the best thing it only cost me £50 for the caliper ,brake lever and a new rotor.
Sounds like a great upgrade. The standard breaks aren't amazing, but I'm not either! 😂😂
@@Miketyler , I do like to venture up on the North Yorkshire Moors so the upgrade was essential. Now to find a good way of transporting my camera and tripod so I can do a bit of photography as well!
Look forward to your videos 😊
Where from please?
Getting one delivered this week, do the brake levers have built in sensors to cut the motor when braking?. Asking because the first thing I want to do is swap out the brakes.
When you don't pedal the motor stops, So no need for sensors in the brakes. Hope you love it!!
@@Miketyler thank you
Sorry to be a pain did you have to shorten the dropper cable? it seems rather long on the bike I received today.
@@owenjohn1192 no, mine worked perfectly. The shop set it up well to be honest. (Telford Halfords)
Amazing thank you
Great video, I’m picking this bike up as my first EBike in a weeks time 👍 What camera and mount do you use to capture the footage?
I hope you love it, I use a GoPro hero 8, mounted upside down our chest mount. I've tried a few different options but this seems best overall.
@@Miketyler cheers mate 👍
@@jimbo12345abc a pleasure
im living Telford about 6 years but dont know so nice trail . still can recognise where is it starts
For some reason I can't see which video you have commented on, I can just see the comment. However, I am guessing you're talking about the trails afterwards the Wrekin. If so, a good place to start is new works, or St. John's church, on the Dawley road in Lawley.
@@Miketyler m.ua-cam.com/video/FujxFU6w7Ug/v-deo.html
I think as I live near blists hill the paths to telford n other parts of the silkin way that have wider paths for cyclists to pass each other and more cycle marking as most people walk on the cycle path and needs more repair to it so less bumpy n a jolted spine
Agreed, I spend a lot of time saying excuse me to people walking on the cycle paths.... However, when I'm out walking with my family, I think we also walk on the cycle paths! 😂😂 I think the council are trying to improve them
Was the bike as good a year or two later?
Never had any issues, not used as much as I'd like but it's been a pleasure every ride
Can you buy these in the US?
I'm not sure to be honest, I think the brand is imported exclusively to the UK by Halfords, but I am guessing it's European.
Awh!
Hi Mike, I am looking to buy a Bizango. Trying to decide on frame size. How tall are you that you decided to go for Large. I am 174cm and been advised to go for Medium
Hi Robert, great question. I'm around 6'1, or 185cm, and have long legs so went for the large. They are big bikes so I think a medium would work well for you
Great video Mike,it looks really smooth out on the trail. Very tempted to buy one, It's funny but I think 15.5 mph is fine for the trails but I'm sure I've read that 20 mph is okay off-road? Cheers mate and subbed.👍🍺
Thanks for subscription, 15.5 is fast enough on the trails like you say, but a little more speed would be great for longer off road tracks. And it's slow on the road
I have to ask where abouts is this lime kiln trail as I'm a local telfod ebike rider .
The paths are on the local ordinance survey maps, So I just go and play. Great fun on an ebike as you can go up and down as much as you like. I head out from st. John's church in Lawley through new works, toward the Wrekin. There are miles of paths to explore
Not me actually thinking they were going that fast at first 🤓
Saying “thank you” to pedestrians and fellow cyclists, is free and a gift that keeps on giving. Nice to know there is at least one other person in Telford who understands the importance of good manners while out on the trail. 🙏
I don't think I could ride by and not say thank you. But that's me in life. You're right, manners cost nothing 😊 Thank you so much for your message.
@@Miketyler No worries! It was both a pleasure and a honour to be watching your YT post. Alas I witness first hand, the bad manners of fellow cyclist every time I take my bike onto The Silkin and it drives me mad. I will never understand the reluctance by cyclist in saying “Pardon me” or simply using their bell to warn other people of their presence. This is why I felt the need to comment.
🥰🥰🥰
Maybe we should get a local ride together organised. We have a good bunch that rides together in the Horsehay area. You would be more than welcome to meet up. I'm a heavier rider looking to shed a good few stones.
Oh, and have you taken it up the Wrekin yet? You should. I'm 22st, it's hard work, but worth doing as much as you can. Breathtaking views as you know, but this entry bike allows it to happen. So happy.
Watching this again now, for about the 40th time. Finally, have my Zobop. I waited for so long, and it has put some miles on now (not nearly enough). I came back here to reminisce tbh, as I was very much inspired during 2020 to get out and do stuff. Your video always pops up, and I've lived in Lightmoor since 2010 :)
So good to get your message. How are you getting on?
@@Miketyler Fab, just done 13 miles around the Wrekin and back. I adore it. Done over 400 miles on it now.
@@cossiep269 that's great going. I haven't got to use mine much, as the kids keep me busy. I'm doing more miles on my normal mountain bike as I ride with the kids
@@Miketyler that's even better 👍👍
