This needs to be miniaturized, ammo made cheap and mass produced. Drones are a threat we don't have adequate defenses against. Even hobbyist drones are killing people in Ukraine at this moment. Once military drone swarms become more common, we could be screwed if we don't create adequate defenses.
yea, there's no way around smaller ammo like cal .22 or something especially for drones .. maybe even with a small impact-HE head ... but i think the "Radar" as seeker will become obsolete one day, when you consider stealth-technology already implemented into cruise missiles and stuff ...
i would rather try to "hear" the drones, like with the american "Boomerang III" system which was designed to hear snipers

Ukraine shows that an army need not bother going to war anymore without proper anti drone protection.
So like,,, spend couple of 100k to shoot down a $9.99 drone from Wish. Worth it.
..and avoid the 100k weapon system targeting you through it ;)
Drones are used to direct artillery fire on tagets as well as gather intel, so it is money well spendt. It will save you from loosing your 5 mill dollar MBT.
More like, spend 40 bucks of ammo to shoot down a 600 dollar drone.

Why do you even imagine that a defence system ment for UAVs is going to stop a one many army terror attack? Just because they both happened to to be in the same country? It's like stopping petty theft with ICBMs. Btw none died due to the bow and arrows. I imagine the media liked the unconventional method enough to trumpet it out of context as per usual
The military shouldn't have this technology. Only if civilians have weapons to self defend themselves from this.
