    I use the Peak design backpack clip for my camera. For a video camera I use a Fimi Palm gimble head video camera it's very small and can be tri- pod mounted with a external mic plug . I agree with you about Gro- Pro cameras that's why a like gamble head video camera as you can move the head without moving the camera

      Yes I'd been thinking of something like that - I've been waiting to see what the DJI Pocket 3 is like when they finally get around to releasing it - and may still get something like that down the track. But we've an upcoming trip, so I decided to get something now that will work as well as my "being a tourist" camera for photos, as I don't like lugging my S5 around for that. The camera I'm getting is also going to give me a bit of flexibility with longer focal lengths too...I'm looking forward to getting it!

      Oh dear! I seem to do a better job of avoiding things outdoors than indoors, though I do have a habit of snagging my tripod or monopod on tree branches when they're in my backpack and getting myself stuck 😄 Thank you Juanita, you look after yourself too!

    I'll look at the gear links later. How you are feeling is much more important. Please take it easy for a while. My wife tripped and hit her head on the closet door. She got a concussion and had a headache for a couple weeks. I was at work at the time, and it scared the crap out of me. She's fine now, as I'm sure you are. On another note, can I use PayPal to buy your calendar?

      I'm glad to hear your wife is OK now. My head seems to be close to back to normal, but it jarred my neck too, so I've got some pain from that - will be visiting my physio so hopefully he'll be able to sort that out. Thank you for your concern Jay 🙏 If you send an email to info@lisafrost.com.au I can sort out using PayPal 👍

    Nice timing Lisa. I have been looking at switching up my tripod head for the Arca style. I can so relate to you regarding spatial awareness - constantly hitting my head on the roof of the hatch back on my car. Sounds like you took quite a hit. Hope you are feeling more like yourself soon.

      I really think I need to pay more attention to my surroundings 😁 I'm well on the mend - I think the concussion symptoms are all but gone, just got some neck issues because of how I hit my head but that's improving too. Thanks Susan!

    Thank you for the review/input on the clips, its not one of those pieces of gear you don't hear about, though see used by a majority of outdoor photographers. In ref to your injury I can so relate to the spacial issue, I used to have a "head hitting quota" as I did a lot of work under office desks and behind other furniture, and have often drawn blood. My most recent occurrence was on a brick door frame that did not give, and as you alluded to rest is the best medicine.

    Oh gosh Lisa! You have done yourself a mischief. I like the way your step son has described it. I hope you are good to go soon - good to look after knocked about heads. Can certainly take a good couple of weeks to ease and begin to feel to different. Those little clips and clamps do look interesting, and helpful for you. Enjoy using them - when you next get out and about.

      My head is well on the mend, my neck is not feeling quite so good, but will be seeing my physio tomorrow so hopefully he'll sort it out. I'm thinking I might get out with just my drone and gopro later in the week, to keep it light and simple, but still get me out there! Thanks Denise!

    It sounds like you gave yourself quite a wallop, Lisa. I truly hope you get over it soon. I don't have the bits and pieces from Pgytech that you showcased, but since I have one of their backpacks, I can vouch for the thoughtfulness that they put into their designs - I really wish they had a 'pack that took around 40 litres as I like to carry lots with me. (Yes, I'm a bit thick in the head.🙄)

    • @LisaFrostPhoto
      @LisaFrostPhoto  Рік тому +1

      Yes I did a good job! 😄 Thankfully I think I'm mostly back to normal (probably about 95%, and a bit of a sore neck)...now I just need to try to avoid doing it again! Wow, 40L is massive! I probably wouldn't be able to lift a bag that large if it was full 😄 I'm just about to head out to fly my drone and try out the new clips...and my new camera, which very fortunately turned up a couple of hours ago! I'm going light today and leaving the S5 at home. It does seem that Pgytech do a great job designing their gear. Thanks Mick!

    • @metalmick99
      @metalmick99 Рік тому

      @@LisaFrostPhoto yes, 40L is a lot, but I have to admit it isn't more than half-full with camera gear - I'll take some food if the walk is long, and water, of course. (My Ajna has a water-bladder sleeve, which I'm very grateful for.) I tend to think about what I'm going to photograph, and leave in the car, lenses and other bits I won't need: having (almost) everything in one backpack though, means I'm less likely to forget anything. As an M43 user, my gear isn't overly heavy. Things like clothing seem to take up a lot of room.Very keen to see what new camera you got - I thought it might be an S5 II or similar, but after reading your reply, I'm not so sure... You'll let us know in your own time. Please take care, and I look forward to your next clip.

    • @LisaFrostPhoto
      @LisaFrostPhoto  Рік тому

      @@metalmick99 an S5 II is very tempting, but at the end of the day I decided my money was better spent investing in something smaller as my B camera, as it really needs to be able to sit on a monopod with feet/selfie stick by itself...I refuse to use a tripod for this camera as it's just too much faffing around 😄 It arrived on Thursday, just a few hours before I was heading out, so my video next weekend will reveal all! I did also get a couple of new lenses for my S5, which I'll be taking out for a test run in the videos after that.
      What camera have you got? There's so much good about the M43 system, but it seems to get a bit overlooked nowadays. I have to say the G9 II has tempted me even more than the S5 II, but once again is still too big for my purposes...one day perhaps... 😁

    I’m guessing it’s an Insta 360 Go 3. My GoPro 12 arrived a few days ago and I’m sure you know it now has a 1/4-20 tripod thread mount, I’ll still be using my 10, and a nice (enough) little Akaso Brave 7 LE. Please take extra time off and allow the healing to be completed! And do get some child-proof padding! 💜💜

    • @LisaFrostPhoto
      @LisaFrostPhoto  Рік тому +1

      The Insta360 Go 3 is tempting, as is upgrading my GoPro to a 12 or an Action 4, but no, it is bigger than that. Hopefully it won't be too long before it arrives! My concussion symptoms seem to be gone, just got some neck issues, but got it all checked out with the physio and should clear up in a week or so. I think I'm just going to head out with my drone and gopro this week to keep it light and easy. Thanks so much TC! 🙏

      @TC_Conner it will still be small and portable, just bigger than the Go 3 😁 It's a little bigger than the gopro too, but there'll be a lot I can do with it I can't do with the gopro...
