What i found amusing about us Malayalis the most is that we have immense exposure and knowldege about the world around us. We discuss everything from world Politics, religion, science, sports, culture, food..etc
I have never seen anybody does that.

North Indians thinking that Kerala is a poor state and it’s only have tourism. We have 8 cities, and 500+ towns. You can see a Hospital, Bank, school and a town in every 10 kms. Malayalees always looking at the top opportunities that’s why they are migrating to Abroad not because of the lack of opportunities here. Most of the nurses from Kerala are working in Europe because they are getting 10x payment. Most of the graduates are migrating to GCC because they are attracted to the payment in those countries.
Also the cleanest state of india
Not the cleanest.
Yes its clean.@@sarangck2954
Who told they see malayali like that....we see them as Bengalis...yes they come to our state for construction work and similar jobs...for daily wages....
No.. They migrate because of lack of opportunities.. It starts from Higher education.. Only school education and primary healthcare is good in Kerala.. STarting from Graduation, to Jobs, they migrate.
Colleges are few in Kerala, so u see so many Malayalees in TN and Karnataka colleges.
Industries - no need to talk about that. Yes, the geography of Kerala is not very conducive for industries, but whatever was possible, was also crushed by the Communists.
Hospitals, not sufficient. For ex, most of them from Kannur and Kasargod, go to Mangalore for major treatments.
And work - Anyone who wants to work and earn a good life, leave Kerala - at all levels of wages - Workers in GCC, Bakeries in other states, IT etc..
Especially the blue collar workers in GCC, most of them prefer a decent job in Kerala, even if its a smaller paying job. They dont want to stay away from their families, and live in cramped apartments and being treated like slaves.
I'm pretty sure no one thinks Kerala as a poor state lol
As a malayali i feels that you interviews my brother that is the same feeling when sanju samson on the ground ❤
What an incredible interview! This guy really brought the best out of Dulquer, in terms of expressing himself. Kudos!
In Kerala every morning the thattukada (Tea Shop or Tapri) will have one guy read out the newspaper loudly and then everyone in that tea shop discussing it from politics to sports to world news. This is one reason that even common, poor people too are so aware of what’s happening in the world, their rights and just in general makes everyone interested in the day to day events happening around the world. This makes Kerala people very smart as a culture
Literacy rate is nothing but a misleading indicator which just represents the percentage of people that can read and write. But what Kerala achieved through the literacy is remarkable. Way back since 1960s or maybe even before that, newspapers and literature started flourishing. Irrespective of the social status or religion, the popularity of newspaper was immense from that era.
Every village had a tea shop where people gathered to read news, discuss about local/National/global affairs and ofcourse sip some tea. It was an inevitable component in every old Malayalam movies.
Then there were small library groups in every village formed by the enthusiastic youth and backed up by prominent local personalities. They conducted cultural events, theatrical plays and sports tournaments in which most of the villagers partake as spectators.
Malayalam writers were considered nothing short of celebrities and they were household names. Classics from all over the globe were widely read and popular. Malayalam Literature was very much evolved in the 20th century with regards to the themes and treatment style.
These factors and many others interplayed to form a unique blend of social and political awareness that influenced each and every sectors of the life.
The advancements , u mentioned, the society achieved over the time is infact result of increased literacy rate... the social indicator may look silly but has huge impact on a society in multiple aspects... And Kerala is epitome of that.
@@athulrajr9121 Hmm... Kerala also has quite a crime rate. (Let us not say that it is due to more reporting and blah blah). Let us not tie everything to literacy.
Social advancements happened through better work culture. Literacy only guarantees reading ability. It is just a means to mass-brain wash. If that happens with good content, it leads to better life. If it is with ideology propaganda, it does not. All Indian states are similar, with slight difference.
@@indieboy1033 Mass brainwashing or propaganda as you mentioned, can only work if the people are fed with a single ideology for decades. As far as I know, Kerala is being ruled by parties of two different ideologies alternatively since formation of the state. Opposing opinions has got a very important role to play in a democracy. And I'm 90% sure that the current government will change in the coming election.
And regarding the crime rate you are absolutely right, Kerala has the highest among Indian states. As per National Crime Records Bureau, more than 5 lakh crimes were reported in the state in 2018. That was an astonishing 10.1% of whole India, that too for a small state like Kerala. The second highest state Haryana reported less than 2 lakh.
What's happening there? Lets analyse crimes in the same year category wise.
Murder: All India- 28431, Kerala- 292. i.e just 1% of murders happened in Kerala (Highest being in U.P- 4018 murders).
Offences against property in All India- 5,96,832, Kerala- 7448. Again 1.2%.
The picture is similar in other violent and gruesome crimes. So where does this high crime rate in Kerala come from?
Traffic violations 1,14,850 vs the country total of 4,36,659. A whopping 26% !! Just because of the strict implementation of laws by the Kerala police and MVD. Unlawful modifications, tinting of the windshield, over speeding, running signals, not using helmets -everything being strictly fined even in the small towns. This number is expected to skyrocket this year after the installation of AI camera all over the state. From my driving experience, Kerala is one of the safest state to drive other than Meghalaya. Another contributor to the crime statistics is non-communal riots, (i.e. political ) with majority being unlawful assembly.
These are not just bla bla bla, but some facts which has not changed much in the last few years.
all indian states are not similar. they are vastly different from cultural perspective, living conditions etc.@@indieboy1033
@@indieboy1033That is a gross misconception. The crime statistics is based on the number of crimes reported to the police. Due to social and civic awareness the Kerala’s percentage of crimes reported will be very high compared to other states. Education and media penetration contributes to this awareness of legal rights too.

With malayalees, it’s their awareness and education like he said. Even a 95 year old knows what she stands to gain from the government as benefits. Everyone reads newspaper, watches news, they know what’s going on in their state, around the world. I remember my grandmother never missed afternoon news bulletin on tv.
They’re culturally rich & so they learn to sing dance take bhagavad Geeta classes. The education system is actively encouraging and organising state level cultural & extracurricular events, which students and parents take seriously. They’re exceptionally passionate about their art, whatever that is. They’re extremely creative too. They can laugh at themselves and they have been making satires on their political & social situations for as long as I can remember😂
It’s their unity because the language binds them all.
It’s a beautiful state.
Dammmn Dulquer on the show🔥🔥🔥
He is not representing a typical malayalee, he brought up as a elite kid
The reason of their smartness is they are living arround the nature...
The main reason why Malayalees are smart is because we have good, informative newspapers and most households subscribe to more than one and - everyone reads them thoroughly and religiously. Hence we are informed, politically active, opinionated and argumentative 😀😁.

It's the long sea coast that has made Malayalis multicultural/international. Kochi had been international for more than two thousand years. Explore the history of Malabar coast to understand it better. We had connections with China as well as Rome ,not forgetting the Arab connection across the Arabian sea. Both Christianity and Islam are older than Rome /Europe. The first church as well as the first mosque in India are in Kerala. The Jewish connection had been significant till 1960s when people started to move over to Israel.

Too much glazing of Malayalees tbh - I'm a mallu myself - we're quite flawed as any. We've got a better social setting than most places in India. The communal spirit is amazing. We first started seeing Mallu movies on You Tube and if we understand the language well enough even if one is not a connoisseur of movies one can easily see *it is a far outcry from most of the Hindi Movies which is unfortunately Trash* The plot, the script, the comedy, the drama, the actors, the acting, dialogue, the directors, are a class apart - and these movies are made with 1/25th of the expense of making of an Hindi movie. *But because it is a regional language it does not have the market it really deserves*.
The Legendary and the current actors *are opulent in their craft* .

Dear Ranveer,
I have always admired your UA-cam channel and the quality of your interviews. Your work is both attractive and engaging, and I have enjoyed watching your content on multiple occasions.
However, I was deeply disappointed by one particular interview where a guest made an unfounded and irresponsible claim about Malappuram in Kerala. He stated that there is a village in Malappuram where only Muslims are allowed and that a so-called "Muslim rule" is implemented.
Let me clarify that such a claim is completely false. Malappuram is a vibrant and harmonious place where people from all communities coexist peacefully. It is not a small, backward village as portrayed, but rather a developed region with a strong sense of unity and progress.
I invite you to visit Malappuram and see for yourself the truth about our beautiful district. If you or anyone can prove the existence of such a village, I am willing to take responsibility for any consequences you suggest. However, if this claim is proven false, I urge you to reconsider allowing such baseless and divisive remarks on your platform.
As a content creator with a significant following, it is crucial to act responsibly and avoid spreading misinformation or hate. Let’s work together to build a narrative that unites rather than divides our diverse and beautiful country.
Thank you for your understanding, and I hope you will address this matter with the seriousness it deserves.
Best regards,
Abdul Muneer Kallatra

Even though I don't agree with the entire literacy thing, everything else he said was pretty accurate. The movie reference thing, the variety of food.
I think Malayalees have been more globally connected always from ancient days, which give that kind of more internationally Kosher outlook on things ( for good or bad as lots of foreign ideologies have entered india through Kerala in a relatively peaceful manner unlike in North india). Kerala I think is the naval gateway of India and that's the reason for the depth in malayalees and not the literacy. Literacy happened as part of that global outlook.
One thing that is a misconception in North is that malayalees are anti North like a lot of tamils, but that is not at all true. Kerala may be the south indian state with the least ,almost no Hindi hostility.
The current hostility towards North is mostly political as a lot of mallus don't agree with hindutva movement because it does not immediately resonate with ground realities that a lot of normy mallus see around.
In Kerala foreign ideologies came in a mostly peaceful way , and they came even before they reached the rest of india because of global connectivity through ancient ports. So the experience of exposure to foreign ideologies in the collective consciousness of a malayalee is very different from the rest of india . I think my fellow Malayalees need to understand the pain and horror & suffering others went through in that process and be sensitive to issues, and outsiders should also have an understanding why malayalees think the way they do.
This malbari dude forgotten to say the national food of kerala which is his one of the favorite Beef fry and porotta

Most of the mallus have that stereotype about north
True malayali trait, using "Malayali" while not correcting the interviewer using "Mallu"
