But real talk: I feel so bad for those killers. They get possessed, are forced to kill those they love, get brutally killed themselves, and then don't even get to rest in peace cos they can be resurrected at any time and forced to go kill more people. And one of them is a literal child! They don't deserve that!

Cindy has been confirmed Lesbian by the writers and the actress. The whole cast ships Cindy and Alice and I know the actor who played Alice made it clear that they played this role with the awareness that Alice had feelings for Cindy.

"Not the diversity." Yep, a subtle point is that Shadyside was also the more mixed community and Sunnyvale was probably all white upper class. But done is such a good way you may only notice after a few watches "why are all the brown children on Shadyside... ooohhh."
I'm glad I wasn't the only one who got visibly upset when Harold the benevolent jailor died. He was, hands-down, my favorite character in the second one.

After watching the third part, I came to realize that none of Tommy's victims were Sunnyvalers. Even when they were mixed with the other Shadeyside kids, he always went after them alone n avoided the others. For example:
1. He waited for the captured Sunnyvale capers to leave so he could get Jeremy (the only Shadeyside in the cabin) alone so he could kill him.
2. He didn't go after Kurt when he was in the shower while he killed the Shadeyside councilor he slept with.
3. He didn't bother with Sheila when she was knocked out at the outhouse while he killed Will n went after Ziggy.
4. He killed the captured Shadeyside (the black n Asian kids) campers after waiting the Sunnyvale jailer to leave.
5. When they were in the Nature n Science cabin, he snatched Ziggy first n only hacked Nick's leg cuz he got in the way but left him alive.
Overall, an interesting detail which makes more sense after watching the 3rd movie.

1978 is definitely my favorite of the Fear Street trilogy. 1994 was a great start, but because it's the first in a series it suffers from getting mired down in exposition and lore, especially in the second act. 1666 suffered the same problem in the first half as it explores Sarah Fier's origin, but at least it shows us something new and ties up the loose ends from the first two movies. 1987 has enough new stuff to differentiate from 1994 and maintain enough mystery that it doesn't feel expository or step on 1666's toes.
What I especially like about this series is the focus on relationships between women, whether familial, romantic, or platonic. Deena and Sam, Ziggy and Cindy, Cindy and Alice, etc. are the hearts of their respective films, and it conveys an overarching message of women supporting other women.
AHHH! I've been waiting for this video! That last scene with the sisters making their last stands was EPIC. And you're not the only one that missed the twist that Ziggy was C. Berman. The subtitles actually gave it away when she was narrating after both sisters "died" because for THAT one they used her birth name. Also, C. Berman was introduced with David Bowie playing so... Yeah, we's dense.

The final scene in which the two sisters are lying on the grass while covered in blood (28:04) almost reminds me of that Michelangelo's painting ("La Creazione di Adamo"), but maybe it's just a stretch

Ziggy and Cindy getting brutalized at the end was FAR TOO MUCH!!! 😱💥🪓🩸😣🔪🫀 I started having sympathy pains!!! 😭…And yet this is my fave of the three!! 😂❤️ Great gore, better integration of the music, I like the perfectionist vs. rebel dynamic, the classic slasher tropes and the 70s aesthetic. 🥰☀️🚩👩🏻🦰 Summer Camp is scary as hell already, AND they killed all those kids!! 💀 This trilogy is wild, Leigh J. didn’t hold back when she wrote this shi-‼️
