I bought one of these a month ago. Its a fantastic plane. The build quality is very good, it looks great, and its a lot of fun to fly. No problems flying in the wind . Its not 3D , its more a sport / acro plane im looking forward your first flight.

Been very much thinking of the S8R Rx's myself, I'm using a detrum 6axis gyro at the moment, and finding a wide deadband before servo moves to stick input. They just look a little funny to set up going by the many videos un the UA-cam. Be nice to hear your experience of them. Using a Horus x12s with opentx 2.3.10 1130pm here in little New Zealand
@@russcole5685 I'm using the FrSky V8FR-II receivers with the 73P 3exis gyros. Never seen delay in stick movement with that combination. I've got a S8R receiver but have not tried it yet. I'll have to do a lot of bench testing and programing before I put in a plane. Hope this helps you. ✈️😎💝

Dude this plane is awesome!!! It's one of my favorites. DO NOT fly this on 3s. 4S only with the metal rod. You will love this thing! Also put a little tape across the bottom of the wing joints to prevent the wing from moving. They get a little slop there after a while.
Great video, had to laugh so hard because normally you take your time babbling and now all of a sudden the video had to be rushed towards the end 😂 The plane really seems good quality, so good hinges on a small plane like this, now that is something. Can’t wait to see you guys on the runway!

You cant beat a bi sexual plane if you want easy relaxing and fun flying. May take a little bit of adjusting and CG movement but once locked in their a pleasure. Nice wido even tho we did miss a couple minutes of babbling. Russ NC/USA

good morning friends! oh have I thought about getting this one a time or two. instead I went with an rc gadgetz slick 540 phantom and absolutely love it and now I just have too many 3d planes. also I'm sick of the weak e-flite servos, they start out fine but after a few flights start going crazy burning themselves up. looking forward to the maiden!
you guys prob already flown it but cg make sure its right or your in for a wild ride and the wire fore wing struts tape the wire pins in place they can and will come loose

Now some technical questions - I'm not a Spektrum user, so please allow me to point you to one detail - The receiver used here in this plane is an AR637TA which can be converted in some way to an AR637T: ua-cam.com/video/F3isbv1U8eM/v-deo.html Horizon BNF stuff is always equipped with AS3X and S.A.F.E. - You "just" have to own a Spektrum DSM{2,X}-transmitter in order to use it. For my perspective as a notorious non-Spectrum customer, it would be very interesting to see what AS3X and S.A.F.E. exactly stands for and how a pilot can benefit from these features in a practical way. This could be a very interesting suggestion for one video in the future for many pilots out there. Anyway, keep up your great work, I'm almost feeling home in beautiful Slovenia...
AS3X and SAFE are so great features for me. With AS3X you fly really smooth even in windy days. And SAFE is great if you get into panic. It helps to get control back of the plane. These features also have other brands now. Even Dynam with new reciever with Istone gyro in. They work amazing. Will show that in the next videos.
Yea where I live in USA. I live on top of a fault that they say will start moving again and cause a giant earthquake that will swallow my entire state one day.

The balsa and carbon one is more rigid and lighter. This one is easier to fix after a mishap.. Guess it will be more fun at the end.

Now some technical questions -
I'm not a Spektrum user, so please allow me to point you to one detail - The receiver used here in this plane is an AR637TA which can be converted in some way to an AR637T:

Horizon BNF stuff is always equipped with AS3X and S.A.F.E. - You "just" have to own a Spektrum DSM{2,X}-transmitter in order to use it. For my perspective as a notorious non-Spectrum customer, it would be very interesting to see what AS3X and S.A.F.E. exactly stands for and how a pilot can benefit from these features in a practical way. This could be a very interesting suggestion for one video in the future for many pilots out there.
Anyway, keep up your great work, I'm almost feeling home in beautiful Slovenia...
AS3X and SAFE are so great features for me. With AS3X you fly really smooth even in windy days. And SAFE is great if you get into panic. It helps to get control back of the plane. These features also have other brands now. Even Dynam with new reciever with Istone gyro in. They work amazing. Will show that in the next videos.

They are good plane but I take the vortex generators of the plane fly's much better but I don't fly 3D I took the generators of my sukhoii.
