Sorry but will this work on old plaster like walls? Got a house made in the 40s and the plaster is rather thick in some walls and finding where to put screws to hang a TV is difficult
I love the improvements that you have made to this model, I especially appreciate the pencil storage. If you haven't already done so, something to consider/look into is the addition of a pencil sharpener on the opposite side of the pencil storage. It can be built-in or a pull-out design that has replacement options available. Not sure what kind of impact this would have on production costs but I would pay extra for this feature.
I recently bought the Franklin Sensors M210. Sometimes the centre LED will turn green, but I did not see anything in the instructions or anywhere else to indicate why this happens. It seems to indicate that it is the centre of the stud when the centre light goes green, but this is just a guess on my part. Can anyone confirm? Why wouldn't Franklin explain this feature in the instructions (unless I missed it somewhere, which is possible). Kindly reply.
Are there TWO versions of the M210? This version has an electrical "meter" that shows the varying detection levels, while another version just has a single LED. Which one is newer, and do they really use the same model number?
@@simonspeaker Yeah, I've been putting off making a purchase until they clear up this confusion. Doesn't seem like they check the comments, though. Shame.

Well i guess i have the old prosensor m210 bought last year 3/22, trying to figure out the two lightning/electric leds (one on either side), very vague on wheres theres any electric. I see this new one has some type of exact detection. great.

I hope is better than the 710+. The 710+ it is good but tricky and misleading. You get the stud but not the exact center using the center light of the 3 lights. I bought the 710+ and yes is better than my old stud finder single sensor. However has a trick. 3 lights will illuminate to show edges and center but is not accurate. To be accurate you will need to slide the stud finder to the right slowly and when a light illuminates on the left mark the left corner of that light and that is your stud edge the you do the same again start sliding the stud finder slowly to the left and when a lights illuminate at the right side that light right corner is your right edge of your stud. Find the center between e 2 points and you will get the exact center of your stud. Or just skip this Franklin 710+ and get the Franklin PROSENSOR M210 hopping that with more sensors this one is correct locating the center.
when will this be available in Australia? currently cant seem to find it available anywhere on ebay or amazon. Plenty of the other model but hoping to get the M210 with the live wire detector.

Actually, while I will accept the compliment, that is not me, though I'm rather handy as well. Both "models" are the real deal! Our gal is no joke! She is as handy, capable and as kind as she is beautiful.
This version either sucks or received a couple of lemons. Doesn’t provide accurate readings. Does not light up when theres a stud and marks a stud where there’s just emptiness. Purchased two of newer version and both have issues. First version I had was great for almost two years but button stopped working
Totally disappointed just received my Franklin 210 stud finder from Amazon/Franklin Sensors. I received it in used condition with scuff marks all over it and at the bottom of it! I put in some Duracells and it didn’t even come on and then I put some generic batteries and it turned on. The battery springs are aligned to high and it wouldn’t make contact with the metal part of the Duracells. But overall “Huge let Down”!!!!

Hi Michael. I like the way you think! This is a great idea.
It also needs an extra large cup holder. I get tired drilling holes all day.

Hi Bill. You are exactly correct. This feature is currently only it the units that go to Canada. Do you like the feature?
@@karengarcia1256 It's a great little feature. It would have been good to have that made clear in the instructions.

Newer one has meter, my old one bought 3/22 has one lightning/electrical green led on either side with no idea of where exact wires could be.
@@brianblithe2271 Agreed that the meter is a significant upgrade.
Do these chew through batteries for anyone else? I found the batt life unusable for the T13
Does anyone know why my Franklin censor stopped working. Replaced the batteries but no luck love this tool.
Have to keep pressing the button to check from either left, right or button?
The button is just one piece so it doesn't matter where you press it. Just press and HOLD the button to operate.
@@karengarcia1256 Thankyou
Battery must to remove after use to protect the led light?
No. They can stay in. Some people do like to remove them but it isn't necessary.

Press button with 3 fingers same time left, right and middle?
It doesn't matter, just as long as the button is pressed.
What model has the green center indicator?
The ProSensor M210 has this now. The green center indicator is a recent update we made to the model, so older units will not have this.

Does this model have the ruler like the rest of the Franklin Sensors? I don’t see it 🤔📏
No. This one does not.
It doesn't work. Tried 2 brand new units. Chinese knock offs worked better...
I bought one in Canadian Tire and returned in an hour. I had a 20 years old Franklin stud finder which much better than this one.
This thing sucks for some reason, they work good till they don't a few months after you start using it
Had mine for years, works as good as the day I bought it.
