Theresa, another great try on!!! I completely agree with your skinny jeans rant. It makes no sense that skinny jeans are out of style when boots, even shorter boots are in.
I find a lot of brands of slim straight jeans work well for boots. A good alternative to skinny jeans if you're looking for one. But by all means wear them if you like them. I never liked them because I have a thicker waist with skinny legs. I need flares to balance out my waist. Which is why all jean types should be available for all different body types. 😊
Theresa, many of us live in the heat of the South/ Southwest and West Coast. We need light fabrics but season appropriate! Yeah! ❤😂❤

i totally agree with skinny jeans and tall boots as well. I don't want my ankles bare either, I live in Indiana, but I am also NOT a slave to fashion. I wear what is comfortable and what I like...60 (almost 61) or not :) Thank you for all that you do!

I loved the rust field jacket! I feel skinny jeans should almost be a "staple" piece or "classic" piece in wardrobes. In spite of what the fashion police say, far more women wear them where I live and seem to love them! Yes, they look striking with tall boots!

Southern girl here: I’m in New Orleans, where temperatures on this November day are in the upper 70s! So “yes” to the red plaid dress that’s lightweight, because we get the chance to dress for autumn even with the A/C still on. But an absolute “no” to skinny jeans and ballet flats: We’re tucking our skinny jeans into tall boots - just like you ladies up North.
Age is just a number. You ROCK the plaid dress! And no one would guess your 60.

Hi Theresa! I love your honesty about that itchy sweater and for sharing the “content” with us. 😂😂😂. As for the weight of the seersucker dress, I can only think that maybe it’s designed with us Southern girls in mind but who knows? A seasonal look that we can enjoy without the weight of a heavier fabric. As for the skinny jeans, keep wearing them! To each their own and skinny jeans work well for you! I wouldn’t be surprised if the fashion police have a warrant out for my arrest. I have violated every one of their rules and it goes far beyond their ban on skinny jeans. 😊

I love skinny jeans and I continue to wear them. I think they are a classic style and I don’t need anyone to tell me what to or what not to wear. That’s ridiculous. I feel I’m still in style and have never had anyone insult my fashion sense.

Agree with you 💯 about skinny jeans! I don't get why skinny jeans are under attack at all. They look great with boots, just as you said, and they are more slimming for shorter women (like myself). Loose legged pants make us look chunky. I'm wearing my skinny jeans and fashion police be damned !

Therese I love sweaters for the winter and like to wear turtlenecks. I cannot wear acrylic next to my neck or skin nor wool. I can wear Cotton or Cotton Polyester, but never heard of the material alterations as on that darker turtleneck. You look great in your clothes. I don't let fashion designers dictate to me what to wear. I go with whatever suits me best. I'm old school. 😊
OMGosh I literally burst out laughing at the description of that sweater 😂 I did love the color combination though. Now I must find it in the store just to feel it! I love skinny jeans and also with them paired with ballet flats but not in the Midwest now, boots are a must.

Great video Theresa. Love the long cardigan and the yellow sweater. Don’t get ballet slippers in the winter but have seen them worn year round with skinny jeans. Our winters are too cold for me to do that. I’ve always liked the look of skinny jeans with boots when wearing longer, loser fitting sweaters. You know how to put it all together.

Hi Teresa. About the rant with skinny jeans i totally agree with you I’m a Pennsylvania girl and when winter comes my skin is all covered including my ankle bones. For gosh sake I wear them any day anyway I feel like it. Now I’m motivated to wear them more often. Lol. You made so really good outfits from the stuff you have. The itchy sweater tho wow 😯. I hate when it feels like tiny constant pings and stings on my skin. That’s how I describe it. Yet I can wear my 100% wool and cashmere with no problems whatsoever.
I agree with you Lady, I cover my ankles bc I hate to be cold & I cannot wear ballet flats because I have a very high arch and I need the support in my feet❣️
In regard to skinny jeans and ballet flats, I rock that look all year long! That being said, I do live in North Carolina where it is as likely to be 60-70 degrees in the winter as it is to be in the 50s or below!

I agree with you about the dress. It is too short for our age. As far as seersucker, WM is not alone. A couple of ago, I plaid skirt looking on the ON website to see a beautiful red plaid skirt which was recommded by my daughter. I loved it and, even better, it was in petite.. I was going to get it until I saw that it was seersucker. I thought that it was crazy! W hat were they thinking! Winter means warm. I was going to buy the gold sweater.so I'm so glad it was in your video. It's so beautiful. Hugs always...

LOVE that turtleneck! It looks so pretty with the cream/oatmeal color sweater. Seersucker for fall...why not....if you live in Florida!! I agree that dress is a bit too short. I must say I really like the look of exposed ankles. It is a dainty part of the female body. You do make a good point however. I live in New England and no way am I going to expose my ankles to the cold. I put my ballet flats away with my Summer clothes. Thanks for another great video.
You have such an eye for styling pieces. Your barbed wire comment made me laugh. It's too bad that was so itchy because the design was great. I don't love the western style dress because of the flounces but you looked great in it.
I agree. Skinny jeans are meant to be worn with boots! The fashion experts are crazy! I hated the thin plaid dress with ruffle on the bottom. I agree it is too short and the fabric is too thin for Winter weather. Loved your video! However, the sweaters were not for me. They just do anything for me.
I love the rust color sweater on you. I think the red dress would look better with black leggings and tall black boots.

I am with you on the skinny jeans issue! I am not wearing ballet flats in the winter! I live in the northeast too and I like a heel with my shoes. I just wear what I love!
Loved the rust color sweater and the jacket I'm wearing skinny jeans until I don't! I love them they don't show the wrinkles, so I don't have to worry about how I store them (pull them out of the dryer after two days and put them on know one knows😂)

Your descriptions are great! I totally agree about the plaid dress. Maybe during early fall, but that would be it. My favorite look was the cinnamon colored sweater. I think that I'll have to pick that up!
My only thought on the plaid dress is that maybe it is lightweight for those that live in warmer climates. 🤷🏻♀️

I never heard about the ballet flats with skinnies...🙉. 😄. I agree, they're perfect with boots. And what about all these short pants leaving the ankles exposed. They're nice, but only good for about half a season, when you have an actual winter.

A lightweight fabric, such as seersucker, in a fall print would be great for many parts of the South, including where I am in Texas. Most fall styles are just too hot to wear for the first half or even the entire day of fall

Ok-on that navy and green wavy sweater-it might be all the polyester that is scratchy-recycled polyester can do that. That last sweater with the all-over honeycomb-I live that and May need to go to my local Wal-mart and get that one! Is this available in white too? I I think I have seen this one in different iterations. LOVE all the fall colors they have this year! Wal-mart has been killin’ it this fall!

Without skinny jeans, pants tucked into boots does not look right to me. Back in the day we had stirrup clips (not sure what else to call them). They were a length of elastic that was worn under the foot attached on either side to the bottom of the pant leg. Anyone else remember those? Wish I could find a set today. Love your videos!
Hi Donna - thanks so much for watching and for your thoughtful comments. I could not agree MORE! I had those stirrup clips you mentioned too :) the whole point is to have the jeans lay smooth under boots. Bunching up any other jean leg shape under boots makes NO sense to me either...

I really want to know who the “fashion police” are! Unless these people want to buy my clothes, I will buy and wear what I want and what looks the best on me.
TRUTH! Not only do skinny jeans happen to work for my body type for example, but I have a BUNCH of them that I paid good money for! I don't intend to replace all of my jeans to be "on trend" either.
Too bad the mock neck chevron sweater felt so bad on your skin because it really looked cute on you.
As for the dress, I didn't see any problem with the length but I thought it looked a little snug in the hips. Wonder what the next size up would have looked like on you.
I see skinny jeans in stores EVERYWHERE and I love them with all my boots and booties!! If you wear tall boots with your skinny jeans tucked in the "fashion police" are NOT going to know they are skinny jeans are they?!

Fashion snobs don’t like any style of clothing middle aged or older women gravitate to. Remember when we all wore Mom jeans? Then they told us to be more in fashion and wear the slimmer styles and now the trend for younger women is to wear the Mom jeans. So they view what we wear as dated. Right now on the street the kids are wearing more cargo pants then anything. Cargos and full dressed wide leg pants have become the norm. In my case being 5’3” the wide pant leg trousers don’t work for me because of my short legs. It’s not flattering so I gravitate to styles that make me look taller and slimmer not dumpy. Leggings make me look short and stubby so I stay away from them. Same with wide leg jeans. I take all of that fashion police stuff like a grain of salt. The best parameter is a full length mirror and our comfort level.

You're beautiful. So what if you are 60, you don't look it. I'm finding that age doesn't matter. If you feel pretty in something, does it really matter how old you are. If you hadn't told me your age, I would have guessed 50-52 or younger. Love your videos.
