This video introduces you to the SOMA Institute and the faculty and students that make up a diverse community focused on clinical massage therapy and how we can make a difference in the lives of individuals needing pain relief and positive touch. Hard work, dedication, and a strong work ethic help students succeed in this program and they become therapists making a difference in their community.
The SOMA Institute offers 11 month and 15 month Clinical Massage Therapy programs designed to accommodate busy schedules. The 11 month program students attend class 2 full days a week while the 15 month month students attend class all day on Saturday and one evening during the week. Students learn both wellness massage and more specific clinical techniques to improve range of motion, decrease pain, and improve posture. Massage therapy is a rewarding career and the SOMA Institute can help you achieve your goal of becoming a therapist that creates change in the world.

Hi Soma Institute and Hi Rob! I hope all of you are doing well during the age of Covid. I have been watching your videos and I really like them a lot. I am an LMT in Las Vegas, NV. I have been re-focusing my attention on things like "The Dry Work" techniques and how important they really are. I do however have a question for you. Here in Las Vegas if you work in a spa a client gets a 50 minute hour. Not really a whole lot of time and really not a very therapeutic massage at all. It is a tourist massage. I work in a PT office so my massages are a matter of doing a massage from a prescription. So my question to you is this: How much time would it take for an independent contractor to perform a full body massage starting from Dry work to Wet work? I don't think it can be done to the client's benefit in a 50 minute hour at all(The Vegas Way!) Thank you for your time and consideration.

And it's just not rubbing people.........some salons will take a booking for a massage and someone not licensed gives the massage...............There is so much knowledge in this field. You can actually help people feel much better.....and there are different avenues to take. To continue to learn different techniques...........
