Its always good to get some more content, but im not gonna lie, I would've prefered new ships way more than navy versions of old ships.

personally I would prefer a ship rebalance of current ships than new ships. That would shake up the meta and give new life to ships that are hardly ever used.

You raise a good point about the Ferox vs Myrmidon. if a new player asked me what race to start with I'd recommend Caldari every time. Its a real pity three of the four races have dark dull colours as standard. Amarr ships show dirt, and therefore success the best.

Yea the Ferox and Heron Navy both look very strong compared to the other empire versions.

As a note, Navy Issue ships have more power grid and CPU which makes fitting better, you have to look more at all the stats. It's hard to fit bigger guns on bc's having navy ones is nice. Btw you recruiting for a YT based corp?

Can't the probe fit missile launchers AND projectile weapons, (4 weapons) compared to the Heron only 2 missile launchers???

The answer to my own question is no, it has been changed since the very early iteration... But the probe bonus is a ROF one, whereas the Heron has a damage bonus, so the end result is similar.

@@dallas8692 it is not similar. RoF 12.5%/lvl is 60% DPS increase at lvl5. Should fight last long enough navy Probe has upper hand.

Maybe it's just me but those navy BCs seem incredibly underwhelming.

their raw stats are great, 50% bonus to armor/shield/structure to their T1 counter parts but I personally think the Ferox is the clear winner. I hope CCP keeps teasing the idea of giving ewar drones more bonuses or give reasons to use something other than ECMs.

@@eventon9372 Yeah, I mean base statwise they're OK but the bonuses are either boring or not strong enough to be used, I think. Feel like they could have done way more for their once-a-decade update.
