    Hope you enjoyed the video! What kind of changes do you want to see in Eve in 2023?!
    One I forgot to mention in the video is the ability to move multiple skills around in the skill queue at the same time. Moving skills around 1 by 1 is time consuming and much needed QoL.

      I couldn't agree more regarding multiple skill movement. I've lost multiple hours to moving my skills one by one, when what I really wanted to do was move a block of related skills to the forefront; this was compounded by the CPU-lag caused due to the computations required each time one skill was moved, especially on my older PC.
      The rest of my desired changes/reaction to your suggestions are outlined in a standalone comment.

    Excellent suggestions. There's so much more QoL and UI stuff they could do (like making key shortcuts work on bookmarks), some of it issues that have been there for years. Here's hoping that with the newfound vigor after Uprising and Photon UI being developed, they actually address some of these things.

    Good ideas, all of them. Would love a upgrade of the app. Another thing would be a better useable map. Took me a long time before I knew what you can do with it. A good vid for newbrows would be nice. It's not sexy but handy if you know how to plan a route for instance. Kind regards Marith of Kazarith ign

      I would suggest you look into EveEye for a map replacement tool. @EVEJer did a video on it, should you be interested. There's also the classic choice: Dotlan.
      Basically, both EveEye and Dotlan flatten EvE's map and thus make it infinitely more human-readable. Perhaps the only exception in terms of usability would be jump freighter pilots, as those do require the 3D aspect of EvE's in-game map in order to plan their jumps.

      yea map can be difficult to follow. I dont use the map much myself as a wormholer but I do for hunting in null or navigating routes etc

    A "Reload All" shortcut would be fantastic for those who have more than one weapon group or an ancillary tank.

    On simulating ships... if you hit 'save state' on the bar below the ship, you can get multiple versions of the same ship saved.. I think it's like 5 or 10 saves at a time using that button on the button under the ship. I use it all the time for exactly what you are talking about. lol

    As a newer player I could not agree more about better organization for skills. It is an absolute nightmare to figure out what will benefit my ships or fittings.

      I started with Echoes and still primarily play it over EO and I won’t even go near PI in Eve Online.

      I’d love for CCP to look at Dormant Realms from Echoes. They are the number one content type I wish was in EO from Echoes.
      Competitive, leaderboard based short PvE instances that take between 5-30 minutes to complete and give rewards for doing them or more rewards for lower clear times.

      @@babies_eve huh, I'll have to look into that. EO is a VERY old game and know what their niche is. People were very hesitant (and still hate) instanced PvE/PvP like the abyss or abyssal proving grounds in EO. I do think that too many 'mini games' or instanced content that takes you out of the universe of EVE isnt what CCP is going for. Tho something with a competitive leaderboard outside of pvp sounds interesting.

      @@eventon9372 we definitely had the same concerns. Dormant realms from EE were kind of NetEase take on Abyssals from EO but they added the competitive element and made the group play mandatory. As a primarily PvE player I love having competitive content I can do weekly and try to improve.
      But yeah, things that take players out of space are typically a net negative.

    I want to see futures and options, generally speaking: more trading instruments from the real world market.
    More contracts for services, like mercenary contracts.
    And the bounty system has to be reworked, so that bounty hunter would be a real profession.

      Funny you bring that up. I studied that industry for months and passed my Series 7 & 63 recently. I know corps used to have 'shares' they could give to players but it ended up going no where really. Because things like debt collection & financial accountability aren't a thing in EVE or video games - options, futures, margin trading etc will likely never be a thing since all of them would be unreliable. There was a time where I believe players set up a 'banking system' in EVE but to no surprise, people never payed back loans lol
      Merc contacts are tricky and can be gamed very easily. I think its better set up on a personal basis. I had a few corp mates say "hey, each time you kill X player, I'll give you 50m isk"

    1:36 I tend to do standard insurance, because that seems to be the best efficiency when comparing payment and reward, on a ship you have no intention of losing but, this being EvE, it's always a possibility regardless. It really depends on the ship.
    2:54 YES! SO MUCH YES. I've had to jump between fits to compare them so many times it's ridiculous - saving them helps in that regard, but it's an entirely artificial waste of time due to a under-developed tool. Sure, outside tools exist (Pyfa), but I don't actually want to use outside tools - I'd like EvE to provide me all of the tools required for playing optimally.
    4:47 I'm sorry to be harsh here, but that's _entirely_ on you. Every EvE player is entrusted with and has the responsibility to *read* ALL of the skills in the game and figure out which ones they want. No player should EVER make skill decisions based on 'probably'! EvE's descriptions are quite specific, though not always as exhaustive as I'd like them to be, but that's a rare problem and not applicable to your issue. Also, this sort of already exists - the mastery system already shows what skills are associated with a specific ship.
    That said, it would be _nice_ to be able to sort skills in the way your describe, especially empire-based sorting.
    6:27 True. When I started playing EvE, I was keen on skilling up to get myself into a Noctis (since I'm the type of player that actually enjoys salvaging), but then I realized I could use a Coercer for the same job and be much faster to boot... and then I moved on to just fitting 1-2x Salvagers or 5x Salvage Drones on most of my solo ships and made a dedicated Slasher fit for Salvaging player (mostly pirate) wrecks that can be found every now and then near gates.
    The Noctis really seems to only be useful for cleaning up after vast pvp battles, specifically because an MTU won't drag yellow wrecks to itself, but a Tractor Beam will. As such, it has its niche, sure, but that's not quite what it was intended for when it was released and and it seems about time to redesign it for modern EvE gameplay, same as the mining ships last year.
    Personally, I'd like to see CCP split the Noctis into two ships:
    - one large and bulky that can service fleet battles and offer bonuses such as: a lot more ehp and able to fit an assault damage control, a covert ops cloak and a role bonus that allows targeting/pulling wrecks while stealthed, much longer/faster tractor range/speed, or allow for one tractor module to pull several wrecks in a large AoE simultaneously;
    - one small and nimble for solo/small gang gameplay that has bonuses targeted at those roles (perhaps percentage chance at salvaging rare components, like EVEnton suggested).
    Ideally, I'd love for CCP to allow the Noctis to switch between the above roles similar to how T3 destroyers work (or even have modules that confer different bonuses like T3 cruisers), but experience tells me they likely won't do this... but it would be _awesome_ if they did, as it would open up quite a few new career/gameplay opportunities and integrate nicely with EvE's pre-existing ecosystem (speaking as a small-scale industrialist, this would be a great).
    13:30 I'm one of those people. Heck, at this point, I basically consider it a gameplay choice, as it probably eats up 25-50% of my time in EvE. That said, I have ZERO interest in the mobile app - I'm looking forward to divesting myself of my smart phone and replacing it with a dumb/feature phone, not adding more apps to it but, certainly, this would be something a lot of players would benefit from/want.
    14:17 That's your viewpoint, whereas I actually enjoy regularly doing Project Discovery while playing EvE on my PC. My real complaint with Project Discovery is the screen space it wastes with instructions I already know and how it's not possible to stretch the actual work area across the entire screen. A few extra tools would also be nice, a confidence rating for the submissions would help, and I'd love to have a way to (perhaps a very limited amount of times per day) *vehemently* disagree with what the system _thinks_ the correct answer is, when I'm 92% sure it's wrong with it's assessment and that my submission is, in fact, correct.
    I have no real opinion on the other points made, given that I live in high sec and avoid any and all pvp.
    Here's hoping CCP chooses to tackle a few of the issues you've brought up this year instead of diverting most of their resources to that 4X mobile strategy game they're working on.

    Really interesting Ideas!
    On the Ammo part, for Lasers (and Hybrids) there is always a more EM heavy and more Thermal Heavy variant (Kin and Therml for Hybrids). So what you can do somewhat choose the damage type that you want, usually just by what you think you will fight more often in terms of resists, and then from there on out you carry all the different ranges that you would think you will need, at this point I often use all of them once filtered by damage type.
    For ACs it is often just a question of carrying close / medium / long range types, and then from there on it is just damage type selection just like with missiles.
    For Triglavians, Tetryon and Baryon are really useful for their better tracking e.g. if there is a Ramjag orbiting you close.
    There is also usually a price tradeoff for Faction vs Pirate Ammo, where the less-used long range variants of pirate kind are cheap and give you an extra 5% DPS.
    Personally I am using every Ammo Type except the long range projectile variants, but I am sure there are people out there that use these too.

      I use most ammo types as well, having various projectile ammo makes due to damage typing. As for hybrids & lasers, there is a lot of +20% range/-20% damage increments. Could Thorium/Uranium and Infrared/Microwave be combined into a single ammo type? Maybe, just something to look in to, curious what the least used ammo is in the game.

      Yeah there are definitely pretty close if you are not only taking every 2nd one due to damage composition. And maybe just splitting them a little more there could make it a more significant tradeoff.

    Nullsec needs more ore variety. On top of that orca's need a buff still.... Beyond that copy pasting of layouts in PI is something I have been wanting forever.
    I do heavily disagree with delayed local in nullsec. Nullsec is already hard enough for smaller and medium alliances. Don't make that gap even bigger.

      I forgot to mention the copy & pasting of PI layouts so I agree there. I havent flown the Orca in nearly a year now so not sure how performs a solo miner.
      As for delay in local, it would likely be tied to sov and if you have structures in the system. No structures mean delay local but better sites/payouts for ratting there, if you do have structures, local is normal and sites are normal.

    In regards to PI: GIBE us the ability to make templates for the planetary setup, that you can also share with alts and/or corpmates! it makes everything endlessly easier, when you're setting up your chain for the first time, or have to rework it for changing needs! this can even be expanded to include the harvester nodes so you can move them together rather than individually! Make life easy again! T.T

    also the special editon ships not being worth anything insurance wise is INTENDED. they are only made with 1 tritainum so they are only worth that

    Just as a thought, truthful the game needs a look at all of the items in the that have anything done to them in more than in three years. Money that does not have a use. Weapons that has to short of range/ speed etc....

    I think the insurance is a holdover from a time when we had to make medical clones. When podding a pilot hurt the wallet alot more than it does today.

      I would imagine a relatively small portion of the player base does missions on a consistent basis. Even if that wasnt the case, missions have some of the oldest code in the game and CCP can't sell skins by reworking missions XD
      It likely be easier for them to ADD new missions than rework old ones sadly.

    What I would like to see is the return of the old abyssal arena, as well as some tweaks to the proving ground events, like better loot for more expensive formats.
    Also I would like to see a buff to T2 long range ammo (Gleam, Quake and Javelin) its not worth using them over faction.
    Ship balancing is something that should be continued too, the Kiki could have its range lowered, Marauders need some tweaks and all navy ships that havent been touched in uprising could at least get some additional bonuses

      I dont do abyss area much but I do think they should expand it and do better rewards. I would also prefer more fun modes like corvette FFA, since abyss arena seemed to be dominated & win-traded by the same players every time in normal formats.
      Yea T2 ammo could use a small damage buff or something.
      I feel like ship balancing should be a constant thing and changes should be made every ~6 months or so to keep the PvE/PvP meta fresh.

    yeah PI is the biggest thing, its meaningless busywork. Sure it should reward people who rework them more often, but dragging heads around and all that just saps the life out of me.
    Love the idea, would love to have it more integrated into the game, but ffs make it less of a chore

    Some of your suggestions can be very quick to implement I'm sure, like the first one "cancell all repair". Similar QoL changes made this year, including the "Repair All" were, to my knowledge, requested on a specific thread of the forum for QoL, by CCP Karkur. I won't post the full link as my posts usually gets deleted when I include some, so ... forum url + little-things-small-qol-suggestions/

      For PI... I don't know about Eve Echoes, so if it is simplified, it could be interesting to see at least some aspects implemented in Eve Online. Else, it would be nice if you could setup more than one command center per planet. So the skill Interplanetary Consolidation would not dictage how many planets you chan have a command center on, but how many command centers you can have in total. The command centers would still output the same power and CPU each. So if you want to do manufacturing only, you can set it up all on the same planet. Or However you like it.

    Repair all its good cancel all no good
    Insurance system good mass insurance 👎 no
    Simulate 1 ship is good simulate multiple ships 👎 no good
    Skill save stuff and show you how much skill you save kinda suck 😉 it takes away from the fun of figuring things out.
    I agree with salvage area gameplay and ships bonuses

    The sycthe fleet thing not that serious. (Thats one area of game and ship type.)
    Dialogue for balancing is no good ....sycthe not working use another.

      Thanks for commenting, glad we could agree and disagree in some areas.
      As for PI it's in a weird spot for me. It's not complex or profitable enough to be worth my time moving harvesters since there arent 'meaningful' decisions to be had. And it's not automated enough so it feels like a chore when I do reset harvesters. Either make it more complex and reward active management or make it more automated cuz it's doing neither well.
      As for ammo types, hybrid and lasers are just stuffed with +/-20% damage/tracking ammo types. Are people really swapping between iridium and tungsten or infrared and microwave when a target moves a bit further? Hardly ever, maybe lasers cuz of instant ammo swap but targets are moving so fast nowadays they are in a different range by the time you swap. Would rather streamline some of the T1 ammo and maybe add a third T2 ammo type but not sure what that would look like.
      Again just my option, scythe fleet is in a weird spot. It has a dual weapon bonuses which is just a weird hold over from old eve. It really has 1 bonus while other ships in it's class has 2-4 different bonuses, that's all.
      As for ansiblex, wouldnt surprised if got changed in the next year or so. Many pvpers including high end ones like CCP Kestrel and others aren't a fan of it and is the antithesis of eve pvp. Which is risk-free fighting while in space.

    missions should have a anti faction option... so kill apposing factions and not pirates in high sec would be nice.

      there are missions where you are shooting the other empires and will lower your standings with them and increase the standing you are taking the missions from.
