- In this video I do more modifications to my JDM Suzuki Carry Kei truck.
Carb work, exhaust work, replaced all the cooling lines with silicon, bumper work.
I also TIG welded and modified an aluminum radiator from a side by side to fit my Kei truck.
At the end of the video we do some 4x4 off-roading with the Honda Acty attack and my Suzuki Carry 4WD.

One of the hardest working men on UA-cam. Thanks for making content without swearing, look forward to watching your adventures with my little guy soon!
Thanks ask much for saying that! I appreciate it so much 👍
Y'all are having WAY too much fun with those lil trucks!
I know they a pretty awesome little trucks
Bend every 3rd tooth out on a 2 1/8” hole saw to make it a 2 1/4! Another great video Mike. Thx
Drummer with a welding helmet.
That was so awesome 👍👍👍
Haha 😂 he loves playing drums and hanging out in the shop! 🙂👍
素晴らしいカスタム動画をありがとうございます。
kei truck の多くは農家の必需品として愛用されてきました。
やはり舗装されて無い大自然の中を駆け抜けて行く姿がとても良く似合うと感じました。
Thanks for checking out my new video 🙂👍 I really like these Kei trucks, it’s nice to know they are still going strong after 30 years of use. Well built trucks 👍 Japanese vehicles are great!
Fantastic content, as usual! Love these adventure and maintenance combo videos. Looking forward the next one! Thank you, Mike!
Thanks for watching!!!
Can’t beat that Mike Festiva 👍 means he’s having blast!
Dear Mike festiva.
👍👌👏 Another great video! I love the micro pickup truck video series.
By the way: Congrats for not smoking, swearing, drinking in public respectively in your videos. 2) For dealing with the new carb and radiator, one definitely needs some knowledge and skills. Congrats for having both. I will check out your brothers channel now.
Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing.
Best regards luck and health to all of you.
Great video! All UA-camrs need to study your techniques. Text at bottom👍🏾 good music👍🏾 fab tips 👍🏾
Thank you Omar!!!
Thanks Omar! I really appreciate it man 🙂👍
My work just bought a Mitsubishi dump from Duncan imports. It’s replacing a John Deere gator. It’s the best thing to run around a college campus in to do grounds work.
Manual choke is so much better.. Nice move
Hi Mike, I first found your channel when I was looking for mig welder reviews. Since then I have binge-watched your channel countless times. Thank you for your effort an great content! Love your channel and helpful insight!
Thanks Michael! I really appreciate it 👍🙂 I have a lot of different topics I cover on my channel, I like keeping things interesting, I have found that my subscribers aren’t watching my videos as much anymore, I have found that YT doesn’t notify a large group of my subscribers when I post new videos now, I think this is because my channel has different topics and content.
I definitely appreciate having loyal subscribers like you that enjoy a wide range of my videos! Thank you 😊
It's nice to see a REAL passion.
👍
Great video Mike!
Glad to see that the mods added to the overall performance of the vehicle.
Thanks for sharing.
endless smiles ...... fab'n, fix'n and cruising. 👍👍😎👍👍
Thanks for checking out my new video Joel! 🙂👍
Nice! Tubing bender! Carbs also imported again always in the Philippines great! I like your modification, i envy you 😊🙏🤙🇵🇭
Thanks for the inspiration! I nee to do all the same for mine! I pulled it in the garage yesterday to dig in to the head gasket.
Good video Mike! You have really got that running good now! You and your brother sure find some good places to run those trucks! Going to check out his channel!
Like the ladder rack you made, makes the truck much more useful to have around.
Love your mentality when it comes to this build.
Simple and functional.
My travels in Vietnam introduced me to the hard working Suzuki kei trucks and vans. Still plenty of them on the roads and trails today. Keep the direct drive fan. Less to go wrong on the trail.
Those things look like alot of fun
That little truck is awesome. Nice mods. If you had a locking rear diff. oh man!
Love these japanese mini trucks.
Another awesome video. It was awesome seeing your kiddo on the drums.
My friend also has the pre production yeswelder and we love it!!!
Damn that Honda is clean!
Great video, love the information to fun switch, so jealous of the “forgotten” bunkers…
Luv the look of the new tires
Thanks for checking out my videos Jason 👍 yes these tires work much better and looks pretty good 😊
Love these videos, your aluminium radiator is a work of art !
Manual choke for the win.
Really good idea replacing the hoses and plastic T's 👍
You'll get another 5hp with an electric fan !
Your Tacho looks awesome 😆
These little trucks were super popular on Japan's northernmost island of Hokkaido. The snowfall there is some of the highest in the world.
PS: The "just punch it !" technique can work really well for tiny trucks, they're harder to break because of the very light weight and lower stress on driveline components 😆
Thanks for checking out my new Kei truck video! I really like my little Suzuki 👍🙂 Great dependable truck, on the weekends when I’m not commuting I tend to only drive it, especially with the gas prices. Take care Edward 🙂
Great video Mike can’t wait to see the next video already!
Stick a 'led load resistor' on the blinkers or indicators lol (one per side) and it will stop that 'short fast' blinks (that flash rate wouldn't be legal here in Australia)... Looking good, I use to drive the little carry utes here when I was an apprentice, they were popular in the railway maintenance departments...
I really like what you've done to yours so far.
Sweet mini truck.
great to see you again
Thanks Tim 👍🙂
Yes!! Happy to hear your son's drum break!!
Haha he loves playing the drums! 🙂👍
Love your upgrading the Susuki kie truck. The upgrade adds what you want while keeping the cost within reason. Would love to see mini van Susuki kie style made into a safari style.
Little beastie seems to do quite well with the new carb.
Love your work 👍
Thanks! I appreciate it 👍🙂
As always nice work. Fun!!! I want one. But can’t be messing with as you do. Awesome job
Another great video Mike...really enjoy the insight you provide...useful modifications..thanks for sharing
Thank you!!!
I like your videos, used this one to change out my carb
Right on 🙂👍
Hey Mike Good Job on this Project Thanks .Great Video .
Thanks 👍 I really like this little truck 🙂
Great little truck. Those carbs remind me of the s.u. ones fitted to Austin Metro here in Britain in 1980's, which were auto choke. Never worked right so many were retro fitted with manual cable operated units.
very nice and fun watching u modify the truck
Welcome to the club man, works an upgrades never stops on suzukis. Congrats
Hey Mike. Thanks for the update, always glad when you post another video. You have done a lot of stuff to this mini truck. It's really a handy little beast in my mind.
Thanks for checking out my new video Ants 🙂👍 It’s a great little truck and it’s becoming really reliable now!
Awesome little truck. Killer videos on this process.
Thanks Jeff 👍🙂
I kind of like his headware for edware for playing drums a welding helmet can he even see the drums with that thing on He's taken after like father from like son have an excellent day
Excellent video as always Mike keep up the awesome work
Nearly all the trucks going to the US didn’t pass the Japanese inspection for many years (tenken).I think it’s something to be well aware of. The cracked hoses, and dodgy lines are a sign that this truck wasn’t road legal in Japan for many years, maybe more than 10+ and likely was used as a beater/farm truck only. It’s nice seing the truck get loved
Awesome upgrades - love making it more simple and more reliable. I have been messing with my carburetor for about a year and I still can’t get consistent performance! It is also a manual choke version that was added before I got the truck. I have worked on the air / fuel settings, but never tried different jetting - Going to take another look at it soon! Keep the great videos coming!
Thank you!!
Thanks Mike been watching your videos for some years now. Finally subscribed. Thanks for all the info as I find myself looking for a mini truck to do the same thing as you guys are doing. Will check out olympic overland now
Awesome informative video !!! In some future you could work on one trailer hitch , I have 1996 Suzuki Carry ! Thanks
Awesome,
I love your videos. Thanks for sharing your knowledge on these cool mini trucks.
Thanks for checking out my videos Alec 😊👍
Great Video
My dream car ... I always dreaming have pickup carry like that 😄
They are really cool little trucks 👍
I use mine all the time 🙂
Thanks for checking out my channel!
Nice work as always Mike. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🎉🎉🎉🎉👍👍
that was great - thanks
Great video Mike, really digging the mini trucks.
Thanks Tom! I sure like these trucks 👍
On the weekends when I’m not driving long distances for work I mostly only drive my little Suzuki Truck 🙂
That Honda though!
The smaller tires may function a little better for daily driving, but the bigger ones definitely looked cooler.
This is such a cool build man! Really is. You have transformed this thing big time.
Thanks Keith! I really appreciate it 👍
I drive this little truck all the time.
Well built trucks.
Have a good weekend Keith!
I've been looking at one of these mini trucks for a long time! I may be retiring to a rule area once again such as Central Oregon! So they've been something I've been highly interested in, if I may make a comment the one thing I would do, not only a locking rear diff! I would also think about the possibility of a 4-link or a triangulated 4 Link! The easy way to do it depending upon the loads you want to carry, is to remove one of the strongest lower leaves of the rear spring packs! The one with the most starch in it. Cuz I did notice the set of overloads we're not connected! Since it has the long rear shackles the little bit of lift as you mentioned in your previous videos oh, I think a softer rear pack would work very well! As far as a multi-link situation as I mentioned earlier there is such a variety of side-by-side shocks and small coilovers that could be easily adapted with your skills which are impressive mind you thank you for the series of these videos I am enjoying them immensely
thank you your video is very inspiring and very useful for me👍🤩
Good stuff Mike. Those seem like a lot of fun. Nice little project.
Thanks for checking out my new video Michael 🙂👍
Great video man, so much fun! Looking forward to more mini truck trips. That new carb was a huge improvement 👍
You really have some of the best content on youtube, I'd love to see you put a predator 420cc on a streetbike frame and make it practical for street use... maybe mod up something for your little guy to ride with you... I put my kid on a 4 wheeler at 4 years old and he did great on it!
Nice work.
Nice video. Like the family vibes and the mellow music!
appreciate it Chris 👍
Right on! Thanks Chris! 🙂👍
Mike the mods especially the rad & electric fan will show performance advances quickly. The locking differential is a must.
Honda power 💪🔥 .
I would love to see this lil sweet suzuki runs with a 1500cc injection engine 😍
Good job man.
Thanks for the video! 👍 good entertainment as always! You could build some trackmats or sandladders i think they are called in english? Nice to have on the bed when you are driving solo! 👌
Thanks for checking out my new video Marcus 🙂👍
Definitely a good suggestion.
I have a small set of traction boards but forgot them that day.
Excelente vidio, parabéns!!!!
GREAT video!
Thanks 😊
man i love this thing, i wanna get one so bad.
Yet another fantastic video keep up the good work on UA-cam and Instagram Mike 👍🏻 Thanks from Michael From wales in the Uk
Thank you so much Michael
Pretty cool truck...thinking of getting one myself.
I use mine all the time, it’s a good little truck, really useful 👍🙂
I BET IT IS....
Mike Festiva you are an absolute inspiration!!!! Great Video!!! And That hobo wax mug got me hyped too!!! These videos give me confidence to dive in and DIY every time :) have a great day my friend!!!!
Right on Dave 👍 Thanks for checking out my new video!
I try to get the Hobo wax mug into some of my videos 🙂
I’m really looking forward to showing you how to weld soon 👍
rock on bro.....your a bit of a giver boy when real designing comes into effect, hi five ya, Mike.
The more you work on the carb, the more I want one with EFI, lol. I'm kinda done with carbs and non-electronic ignition. 😎✌️
I hear you man 👍 EFI is definitely nice, lucky this truck has electronic ignition.
Thanks for checking out my videos 😊
@@Mikefestiva I like how yours looks and how your brothers works, lol.
Excellent video mike!
Thanks Kevin!!!
Nice work! FYI, you can put a resistor inline to slow the signals down.
Thank you
Thanks for checking out my videos 🙂👍
Great content
Thanks Lloyd
Thanks 😊
+1 Function > Looks
Good job on your videos! They are well put together.
Nice to see you getting into these Suzuki. Here in Cali, they seem to pretty much gravitate to Catalina Island. Not sure how they are up north. Wish they were more available. Kinda nice getting 40 MPG and still having some offroading ability.
luv it...🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
great video. I love all the content.
Thank you
Nice!... looks like a locking diff is comming to town....
Hopefully soon! I have been trying to track one down 👍🙂
I just want to let you know that I plan on getting one of these trucks in the next year or so. I will definitely be referring to these videos if I have any issues. Love the build. Great work
Right on 👍
@@Mikefestiva do you think for a stock mini truck that a Honda Acty Attack is better than your Suzuki Carry?
MM77 Approved 👍🏼👍🏼
Another super cool video man, love that little truck…thanks for the upload dude..:)
Thanks for watching!!!
Thanks buddy for checking out my new Kei truck video! 🙂👍
Hey there Mr Festiva! You say that you want a locker in the rear end and that it had one from the factory which makes me want to ask what kind of locker was it? Are you going to put one up front as well? Thanks for the mini pinz man that’s how I discovered your channel I mean c’mon, who makes a mini pinz? Mike will, he’ll build anything! 🤣
Mike, my dad built a tractor with a Toyota 1200cc engine. He had trouble with the carb, so he opted for a VW beetle carb, and it ran well for him. He said that he wanted it simple to operate, so he was satisfied with it.
Thanks awesome!!!
«Hope you enjoyed the video.» Yes, sir! I did..! Pleased to see next gen is coming along..welding helmet at the drums 👍 Great! The kids are growing to fast..mine are adults allready.
Looking forward to your review of the Yeswelder.
I'm just glad your the one that has to wash the damn thing ; )
Haha 😂
Add a resistor to the indicators. You can probably get away with just two in the blinker wiring. It will eliminate the fast blinking.
