I also am obsessed with the deliciousness of gochujang! I only discovered it recently watching the UK UA-cam channel Sorted Food and went looking for it in the supermarket and there it was! I was surprised as I thought, here we go searching for something impossible to find but NO! Our local Coles had it and I’ve been adding it to everything I can think of since! It’s fabulous. Thanks for new ideas and recipes Marion! As a result of your rice cooker recipes I am now the proud owner of a 10 cup Panasonic fuzzy logic rice cooker! It’s fantastic! Need a clay pot recipe for the Panasonic that is loaded with gochujang - pretty please??? I can experiment but you will create!!!
I did not know how TO use gochujang, so I did not know how NOT to use it. I began by using it instead of ketchup and went from there, replacing ingredients. My daughter taught school in Korea, so she was able to teach me many things when she came home. Good video!
I make my own cultured butter at home and this time I took about 1 kg and infused it with about 4 table spoons of paste. Since the caps is fat soluble it won't be as hot as pure paste, but it def will be flavorful and really add to my fried (western) noodles. You could also use it as a flavor enhancer to a baked potato or green beans. Give those good ole western recipes a thai/korean kick

I’m going to try the first recipe but I’m going to add dashes of sugar and a few splashes of fish sauce. Those are the two ingredients I add to most protein recipes.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for introducing me to gochujang a year ago. I don’t like overly hot, but i do like a bit of spice and this stuff is just perfect. It has enriched my life and cooking so much. That and your chili oil are now staples in my household. Asian fusion has made my mouth so happy. This definetly is one of the good things that happened during covid.
I tried the Korean beef rice recipe and I felt like it needed more salt and maybe a bit of sugar..I didn’t even use all the rice the recipe called for and it still came out a bit bland in taste like it was missing something..my suspicions are the off brand Gojujang and the steak meat I minced
I made the broth with chicken and noodles,used spaghetti,but was out of kimchi and store didn't have any🤷, was last minute, I added more gochujang and gochugaru and was great, I should've bought some cabbage but🤦, making bacon and eggs noodles after store restocks lol.

i made the beef fried rice without bean sprouts and sesame seeds and added pork grinds for crunch, it taste so good :D thank you!

I tried your Gochujang sauce on my chicken nuggets for a quick fix, I liked it a lot! I think it's similar to what they call Yangnyeom sauce
