there are several versions of this song. some were edited down short for 1970's bubble-gum rock stations, and the full-length version was for 'album rock' stations, for listeners with longer attention spans. my fav was the full-length studio version. excellent slide guitar climax at the end.

Slow Ride has some of the best slide guitar of any hard rock song ever made. The other being Randy Rhoads solo in Ozzy's No Bone Movies

You should always listen to the original studio version first so you know what it is supposed to sound like and then do live .
