Thank you for sharing Alister. I have watched a few videos on these filters , all positive, so I decided today to go out and purchase a set. First impressions are that they are well made but I did immediately hit a problem with one of the components, the inlaid ring. This I have to say is not a fault of the Kase ring but something that others need to watch out for. I have two lens for my Canon RF, the 24-105 f4 and the 100-500. The plan was to fit the inlaid ring onto the 100-500, so I could use the original lens cap and the other adapter onto the 24-105 as I would use that more with the filters. Not until after I had fitted the ring onto the 100-500 did I realise my error. The internal thread on that lens does not go all the way down to the lens glass. Subsequently the Kase ring wound past the threads into the free space between the end of the thread and the lens. The magnetic filters and Kase lens cover or the Canon lens cap would both fit but I didn’t like the idea of the inlaid ring not being tightened up. To say it was the devils own to try and get it back off is an understatement. I have now fitted the inlaid ring onto the smaller 24-105 lens that has the thread going all the way down to the lens glass and so can be fully tightened and the larger (with shoulder) ring onto the 100-500 lens. Hopefully this will stop others making the same mistake with similar lenses.
Kudos to them for having the good sense to have a capable photographer as their ambassador. Great images and good choice of when and what filter to use.
Great review and I really appreciate your honesty, I am seriously thinking about buying a set a Kase magnetic filters and this review has really helped,

Thanks for your excellent critique........I have been researching Kase Revolution Filters, but am not comfortable screwing an adapter ring so close to my lens. I am contemplating a 95mm filter set combined with the Wolverine 77mm and 82mm adapter rings for my lenses. This way I can avoid vignetting on my wide angle lens. Go if comments would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.......David.
I have been using Nisi for years, but I have wanted magnetic filters for a while now, these colour coded filters look just the job, I have just ordered, thank you so much for your discount code, I can't wait to try them out.
Informative video on the Kase filters. I agree on the quality of the filters being the highest you can get if your camera lenses are expensive. Not quite sure which size I would need for my Nikon 24-70mm which has a 77mm filter size. Kase says I should then get the 82mm filter set. Do you have experience with the filter size being bigger than the actual defined size of your lens. One last question, who composed the music at the end of the video? it fits nicely to your great photography. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Marc. I always used the 82mm size on my 77mm lenses, and I am glad to did as two of my newer lenses are 82mm. Using step down rings is no problem. I use 82mm filters on my 67mm lens. I composed that piece of music myself in a couple of minutes when Ann said she needed something! 😂
Do you need to buy filters with a larger diameter than the lens to avoid vignetting when using multiple filters? Eg my Fuji 16-55 lens has a diameter of 77mm. Should I purchase the 82mm filters and a 77-82 step up ring or should I buy the 77mm filters?
I use 82 filters most of the time. With wider 77mm lenses, but also on a couple of my 82mm threads. There is a recessed magnetic mount for wide angle lenses that comes with the kit, you wouldn’t get vignettes even with 77mm. But I’d still go 82
Excellent video; is 82mm recommended by kase for these 82mm fujinon. Their size guide sometimes suggets sizing up, which means 95. I'm on hitech formatt square filters and wondering whether to switch.
Is there a link to Kase US with your coupon code? If not then I will order from the UK site. I have the Tamron 35-150 82mm FE mount should I order the 95mm kit? Thanks, I loved the review.
The exact size is fine. For wide angled lenses the kit comes with a recessed magnetic ring that goes inside the barrel of the lens thread. My lenses are natively 82mm and I use the 82mm kit and get no vignette
Thank you for that Alastair. 16 is about as wide as I can go atm . I’m keen to get some but the price, when you add on additional magnetic rings , adapter rings as well as extra lens caps to cover all the main lenses makes the prices astronomical. I have been using kase filters since 2019 and have also tried different brands but Kase is the best And their filter is, as Alister mentions in the video, a filter that can withstand being dropped. i have dropped my polarizing filter a number of times never broken But any filter can break regardless of quality if the accident happens And have never noticed anything strange with these filters, whether it concerns blue casts or other chromatic problems But if you're going to mention something negative, I've noticed that the lens cap comes off easily if, for example, you go under a branch or through a bush, because I've lost a couple but never lost a filter in this way
@@Alister_Benn So I bought 82mm Kase filter kit and with GF 20-35 I have this experience: I use ultra slim BW UV filter for protection on GF 20-35, with UV filter no vignetting on 20mm, with UV+ Inlaid adapter ring+1 filter a bit vigneting on 20mm no wigneting on 23mm, with uv+2 filters strong wigneting on 20mm no vigneting on 25mm. I have been using DSLR´s for 30 years, and now I have a Nikon Z8, and I have never used a filter. I honestly don’t know what I would use them for. I have never felt the need for a long exposure.
Looks rather similar to my recently bought Rollei Magnetic filters that only seems to be missing the color codes.

Acquired last year Kase armour kit system. Love the filters. In my opinion, Kase have a serious problem with the products and kinda very confusing between Wolverine, Armour, Revolution. Kase need to rethink about that…
I do tend to agree with you there. Technically I think they are all wolverine! I agree, very confusing! Good filters though, and that's the main thing.
Maven Filters. Look ‘em up
