Oh, and as far as the rotation goes, I realized shortly after posting this that starting fights with the sword/axe unleashed ambush and then immediately swapping to maces is the far superior opener. It's like 1k dps difference on the golem and actually way more practical in the open world where the faster ramp up of boons and the ability to start a fight with a cc and leap is extremely valuable.

As a ranger mein looks really fun and strong. Your build is almost the same as mine, and I could say that sword/axe mace/mace untamed is the tankiest, easy rotation, and yet big dps so far. I've never had class as close to this, not even with power reaper :D
The internal cooldown has to be a mistake or they added one extra digit to this trait by mistake. I definitely agree putting this much sustain completetly destroys versatile builds.
Dont worry about it, Anet hate Ranger it will be nerfed into the ground on the next update.... Whenever we get a build that is on the better end in line with Guardian and Necro and Ele they always kill it... so it is ok....
Thanks for the build! I really like builds that reward high damage with good self healing.
Battle scars on rev used to do the same thing. But they nerfed it to the ground. Funny to see a similar mechanic back.

There’s an unkillable Vindicator build that makes the old Battle Scars look like child’s play.
revenant even without battle scars remains the best for solo content, and survives where not everyone can
Siege turtle is crazy for this build - 1/3 uptime on protection and 2 extra CC skills

It may be broken, but it’s freaking fun. Set up one of my rangers this way and now I don’t want to play anything else.

you can get 20k dps on reaper by auto attacking in shroud what do you mean.
My reaper is at 42k ez mode. 2 wells, 1 shout, shroud autos.
@@selenang2006 are you beyond SC players? because 42k is SC benchmark with full rotation.
@@Durzza in shroud yes, but remember enemy damage might reduce shroud a lot, therefore less time for full damage, with ranger you dont worry with form

In the chat windows tick only healing you will see the numbers should be lower
Nope, the number in my combat chat log is identical to the one listed in the trait, as well as the heal number spawning over my character.

I am a raid untamed try Dragonhunter relic i found my dps went up 3k just from trying that. I watched groups of mobs hp melt.
