    Kneesovertoes guy saved my knees in just a few weeks. I can do pistol squats now and did a 340 squat on my first squat session. The split squats are literally magic. In the beginning it'll be tough but after a bit of time it'll be fine

    Ben Patrick is a stand up guy. I have had a knee operation on each knee- strongman training for 10 years. Signed up and used his program for 2 months and was able to do Olympic squats to the floor again(had not been able to do for almost 5 years) The system he has developed is very unique and refreshing. Depending on what you do, he has a program for a novice all the way to the pro athlete. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. The only reason I stopped was that I could squat atg again and I wanted to train the Olympic lifts again full time. I will definitely sign up again in the near future.

    Pjf performance literally says there is a correlation between hipermobility and season or carreer ending injuries
    Pjf actually does have quite a lot of flexibility in the vertcode but not a fanatic on static stretch, just that as he says truths about flexibility such as bone structure, ppl hate on him but he's right

    • @gurshannahal7868
      @gurshannahal7868 3 роки тому +6

      Exactly some ppl will never be able to be flexiable because of there bone structure. He’s by far the best trainer in the game right now

    • @denizsankadic4501
      @denizsankadic4501 3 роки тому +1

      I think you are right but its hard to get that "hipermobility" , so i dont think that being good at flexibility would hurt you, but would not help you more if you have reached the limit

    • @kblkbl
      @kblkbl 3 роки тому +1

      hipermobility isn't something you achieve, it's an innate condition. There's definitely a correlation between it and injuries, but hipermobility has absolutely nothing to do with anything being said here.

    • @thejookking
      @thejookking 3 роки тому

      @@kblkbl You can't achieve hyper mobility??
      Are you sure??

    • @kblkbl
      @kblkbl 3 роки тому +2

      @@thejookking Well, yes. Hyper mobility *syndrome* is something people are born with.
      You can get as flexible as you want, you'll never be mobile as someone with hypermobile knees, elbows, wrists...
      Hyper mobility is dangerous in these very extreme innate cases.
      Here's the wikipedia article detailing the causes: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypermobility_(joints)#Causes
      Spoiler: You won't find "wasted too much time stretching" among the causes.

    I have a question about your bodyweight jump program, I watched it and now I'm in phase 1 week 2 but after watching the other phases and reading some training articles on the internet I saw that to build strength it's better to do a small number of reps with high intensity, so it's ok to do those 100 reps of squat in your program or does it train slow twitch fibers?

    • @matejamilosevic3167
      @matejamilosevic3167 3 роки тому +2

      It's okay to do that much only if you perform squats faster, meaning 1 sec up and 1 sec down, that way you wont train slow twich muscle fibers, btw the reps are that high because its only bodyweight

    • @TheChexMix
      @TheChexMix 3 роки тому +2

      thats probably to build your capacity, which can help you do more in your lifting sessions. no chance you work fast twitch with 100 reps but its all about context

    • @NathanaelMorton
      @NathanaelMorton  3 роки тому +3

      That's more for the base foundation of strength. It's the only exercise where you do that many. All other exercises are meant to train fast twitch fibers. It's essentially just building a strength/endurance foundation that you use in basketball (remember basketball is explosive movements plus endurance because you're playing 32-48 minutes a game). I'd say 100 may be a little excessive, but that's the only exercise present where you get a chance to really build that foundation of muscular endurance in that way.

    Imagine if we could take all of this back to 8th grade / 9th grade. I had a 37" vertical, could dunk two-handed off two feet when I was in the 8th grade (5'11" or so then) and then the injuries came because nobody had a gd clue about anything back then. I feel like the people that stayed injury-free were just genetically gifted somehow, but it probably caught up with them at some point. Athletes today are in a golden age of training resources.

    Does the program include total body work? Obviously it has knee exercises but does it do core, shoulders, arms, ankle, feet, etc??

    5:57 i am a big fan of what atg brings to the table but from what i can see here it was completely pointless having the weight if it stays at the center of gravity the whole time. i think someone would benefit more from a weight vest so that the weight is actually being applied to the movement.

    I would get the kneesovertoes guy workout plan but I’m so naturally unflexable it would probably take me a year just to maybe pass his standards. I don’t think I could ever actually do his full split squat

  • @jordyname5115

    Isiah did kneesovertoes guys workouts and his knee pain got worse, he also used to suffer from osgood schlatter, which affects the knees and as such has a bit of info on knee pain. I personally don't agree with kneesovertoes guys stuff. For me it doesn't really make sense to stretch as much as he recomends as static stretching has shown to negatively affect weight performance and vertical jump. His whole knees over toes idea where he stretches the achilles doesn't really make sense either as some of the best high jumpers in the world, like stefan holm, have been shown to have achilles tendons 3-4 times stiffer than a control groups and would stretching not affect that stiffness negatively? I believe the reason why people have such great results with knees over toes is because of the slow progressive nature and relative lack of volume, meaning people have more time for their bodies to adapt. In their own workouts they might try progress too fast and other beginner mistakes. pls argue with me

    IMHO... There is a direct correlation between flexibility and vertical jump. To be able to perform any activity the muscles antagonistic to that movement need to be relaxed and flexible so as NOT to restrict the performance of the movement. By that logic, flexibility would directly correlate for maximum performance and efficiency. 🤷🏻‍♂️
