SAME BROO!!! Been recently listening to a lot of classic hardstyle cuz I feel like the kicks were better back then. They were obviously much much harder to make than the modern kicks that we have now, but it was definitely worth the work!
Headhunterz is really no joke to be trifled with he is a very talented musician in the hardstyle community 3 days to do this kick and it's not even finished you can already tell the skill he has Awesome setup that he has too
Thanks so much for this video headhunterz, it really shows how much EQ and effects you need to make an awesome kick. Also when you enabled some of the effects you couldnt hear much difference which shows just a suttle change really helps. THANKS!
The kick is amazing Willem, and I love these videos. Would be great if you would upload more. Also, it would be nice if you did some Q&A videos for some comments left below. MY questions: Do you feel that you changed your style due to new techniques or just based on the feeling you have at the moment? And How long were you producing for to learn the ins and outs of the profession?
I learned soooo much from this video, your amazing...anybody can be a hardstyle producer, all you need is the dedication... people like Headhunterz, Noisecontrollers, toneshifterz, D-block &s-te-fan, etc, are popular because they have there own style, but alll of there expensive equipment they use helps them a ton to get music down faster and better...other people dont have that shit :/
Then you bounce it to a sample. Load into a sampler split the band on the mixer using sends. Cut the mids and highs add EQ and compression for bass on one then use the other for mid and high detail while low passing out subsonics. Layering in extra sounds as needed.
and there you have an intro kick! right? it takes Wasted Penguinz 3 weeks to make a good kick. But Heady, willem this is great, you gotta make some more videos like this! please tell me, what program do you use? Cubase, Logic or what?
Oh jesus .. This is FUCKING amazing! You headie , You are the Future hardstyle , and the god who keeps it alive! , No hardstyle without you! Keep the awesome work up! :D
but i just want to get the sound of the kick shorter, and not the bass. Because when you will pitch it up it will get shorter... and if i cut it with the envelope filter, i think it will get to short? or not?
@00Mass00 basically, the interface and perhaps even specific effects may be different, but you will be using mostly the same synths, and really, an equalizer or reverb works on the same principle in ableton and logic
i like this kind of videos :D it shows how you make all your noises:D Like in the making of video From Within .. i didn't know that your typical HHz Voice your Own voice is Thumbs up from me + Fav
Btw, i pitch my kicks in ultra beat. Open the empty template in ultra beat. And use the upper one, to load your kick. The next higher note wil automatic pitch your kick! So sample your kick on a low G!
@ZwixHardstyle Try to use the filter called "Maximus". That's a real good filter to take care of the envelope in your kicks. Generate a basic sound in Hydra, then apply the Buzz Effect Adapter with Whitenoise Stereo Distortion, then apply Ohmicide and after That you apply Maximus, then you apply Fast Dist, then EQ and EQ, then send, then EQ again, and then Reverb. That's the basic order of filters i'm using =)
Great video, You should start with "tutorials or tips" videos. That would be awesome ! Btw, great job and good luck with your song. Regards from Sweden.
What studio do you use to make all of your amazing tracks, because im not finding one that really works? Please tell I would love to attempt at making Hardstyle music.
In fact I think that the first overdriven 909 is more important that the other effetcs. Is so difficult to do this first step...always I get different seek and weak kicks.
Last vid tutorial was great, sounded more like a Noisecontrollers kick, but the video quality itself wasn't as clear as this one; could you go back to that tutorial with this new camera please? I have been trying to make a nice thumpy, juicy h/s kick for too long now..
@TheLackofSound you might say: If anyone aint good enough to make a basic kick right from 3xOsc... it's not even worth a try making a kick from Hydra tweaked out with Camelphat, Buzz Effect Adapter and Ohmicide...
you may have the same exact eqing but it won't have the same effects on the sounds if it's even a very little bit different... you can add the same fx as he did, but if your original sound doesn't sound exactly like his one, your result won't be even comparable... each sound deserves a different treatment
Revisiting 11 years later.... much has changed, journeys have definitely helped us evolve into different people. I miss these times, Love you Heady 🧡
SAME BROO!!! Been recently listening to a lot of classic hardstyle cuz I feel like the kicks were better back then. They were obviously much much harder to make than the modern kicks that we have now, but it was definitely worth the work!
I've worked on a kick for an hour before and I had a headache throbbing at 147bpm lmao
Dragonborn Kick :)
I love how the sound changes when you turn the camera.
Came here from GPF
Haha me too
Me 2 x
me too
Hey x
Lmao same
I have never seen so much work go into a kick in my life wow!
Headhunterz is really no joke to be trifled with he is a very talented musician in the hardstyle community 3 days to do this kick and it's not even finished you can already tell the skill he has

THANKS!
This kick sound very much like the kick from doomed and perfect weapon
Nice, also a realy usefull video for the hardstyle producers that find it difficult to make a solid kick
I'm liking the fact that he made a video showing his kick. Major respect too him for that.
To be honest this helped me quite a bit.. never used phasers on my kick before and it works wonders, also the auto filter thing was an eye opener..

Fantastic kick. I saw this video when it got uploaded, but I never listened till end. Just amazing kick HHZ.
He doesnt just reduce the high frequencies, he also boosts the mids and the low-end.
well you can say that you ´´miss the old headhunterz kick´´´ut this is still my favorite kick :)
and there you have an intro kick! right?
it takes Wasted Penguinz 3 weeks to make a good kick.
But Heady, willem this is great, you gotta make some more videos like this!
please tell me, what program do you use?
Cubase, Logic or what?
oh god, looking at this comment today I can see what an amateur I was
@Axel Maxcel you had to remind me
@@aggi999 Haha
@@aggi999 lmaoo
"Kijkje in de keuken van Willem" nice video, it gives a good view of what is in the kick.
TR 909 still sounding good I see. Props Willem!
what is the name of the software he is using?
Jou hardstyle was echt foking lekker! Je house van tegenwoordig ook, maar zou echt ziek zijn als je weer eens een hardstyle plaat uitbrengt!
Headhunterz you are the master of Hardstyle man love the kick ......
I love that you're making more personal videos!
Gotta love Willem! :D
Oh jesus .. This is FUCKING amazing! You headie , You are the Future hardstyle , and the god who keeps it alive! , No hardstyle without you! Keep the awesome work up! :D
After 11 years i can say that it was true
I like the kick with all the presets off and the one at the end the best :)
I'm loving that kick, something heavy :)
What audio wave form/meter program are you running on the 2nd screen?
Dude it sounds really really awesome at the end.
I use different (and less intricate) software, but this gives me some ideas. Thanks, Headhunterz.
Do more like this! :O really gives us an isnide look and understanding! :)
Tout simplement excellent, merci Heady :)
Wow new kick 909
I've got to admit, I liked what it sounded like in the beginning,
@HardstyleMuzics 9. Andromeda A5 ? Not, this is Alesis Andromeda A6
but i just want to get the sound of the kick shorter, and not the bass. Because when you will pitch it up it will get shorter... and if i cut it with the envelope filter, i think it will get to short? or not?
mighty peaking there mr headhunterz ! very nice kick
Love thor Red piles beneath the mixers. But amazing sound
headhunterz demonstrating science. This is scientifict.
@00Mass00 basically, the interface and perhaps even specific effects may be different, but you will be using mostly the same synths, and really, an equalizer or reverb works on the same principle in ableton and logic
Cool :-)
I like it, try to make more of these kind
of things if you have the time
i like this kind of videos :D it shows how you make all your noises:D
Like in the making of video From Within .. i didn't know that your typical HHz Voice your Own voice is
Thumbs up from me + Fav

@Salvadorjensen In FL you can just adjust the decay on the sample to adjust the envelope, i cant find any filter similar to this
@ZwixHardstyle Try to use the filter called "Maximus". That's a real good filter to take care of the envelope in your kicks. nicee kick! but i still i like the kicks in the oldertracks more.. hate it or love it & power of the mind! awesome kicks!
Y U NO TELL US YOUR SECRET!?!?!?
pure awesomeness
Great video, You should start with "tutorials or tips" videos. That would be awesome !
Btw, great job and good luck with your song.
Regards from Sweden.
Thanks for the peek in the way you create music
the lights in your room / studio are neon purple... i'm jealous.
finally some advise from headhunters thumbs up mate
What studio do you use to make all of your amazing tracks, because im not finding one that really works? Please tell I would love to attempt at making Hardstyle music.
It makes me curious about the new song.. this sounds great!
Ik kan niet wachten op je nieuwe song. klinkt echt heeeeel erg nice. Leuk dat je dit zo laat zien, moet je zeker vaker doen ;-)
jow
whoah sick!!! :D:D
didint expected this kind of vids of you hhz ^-^ really awesome to look at:D
This came into my recommended?
@ISN1P3DI Just check your gain. I usually start by setting the stereo output to -10 dB. That way you'll have pretty much head room.
This is the kind of videos i like
Power of music kick ❤
Holy crap that's a lot of effectz right there mate
that was . . . . .amazing
holy crap. the most I'll do is 4 or 5 layers. that freaking insane. past that the sound starts to get lost on me.
Sounds like a completely new kick every time you add an fx :P
you really love your fans :) thanks heady!
0:39 - 0:48 the autofilter! Is there any similar plugin for FL? Or any downloadable vst?
In fact I think that the first overdriven 909 is more important that the other effetcs. Is so difficult to do this first step...always I get different seek and weak kicks.
The Perfect Weapon
It's not a tutorial. He's just showing us how much the creation of a perfect kik is so freaking hard !!!
Wow.
That's a lot of effects ahaha.
That's sick though.
Love it! :D
Which program did you use to meka music? I am tallking about main program without any other.. am.. thigs?
i saw this on your twitter
i'm glad you made a vid like this :)
very nice video produccers needs more videos like this you could make both type of videos blogs and in the studio regards idol
@oOBiohazardxOo Most kicks thats in melodies have the bassline like that, it gives it good bass sound, and the delay goes pretty much unoticed:D
@jojovossy He says "die-hard EQ-ing" and by the way, the software is Logic Pro 9.
so he puts like 30 effects on a single kick ..thats fucking insane

omg !! really nice kick man !
@hardstylerzbounce Creativity = Art. Art = Heart. Seems like we got an internet badass over here.
Headhunterz seem like a pretty cool fella :)
@2:17
have you sliced the kick that much for about 10 different channels?
thanks in advance
i love the kicks!!!!!!!!!
The kick sounds awesome at 0:57 in my opinion.
He should've let it be!
is this been made with 1 bassdrum only? just curious, cause it sounds hollow (sub-less) until you show the final progress.
@XosserMedia Yes he is lol
do you know a vst plugin that can improve the envelope of the kick just like autofilter? i can`t find anything like it outside of logic.
dude there is only one word that can describe you : EPIC
Looks cool, sounds cool but I have no clue how you do it ! :D Keep it up tough !
@TheLackofSound you might say: If anyone aint good enough to make a basic kick right from 3xOsc... it's not even worth a try making a kick from Hydra tweaked out with Camelphat, Buzz Effect Adapter and Ohmicide...

nice vid wilhelm a lot of tools man xD I gotta has them too -.-
Woah a decade already!
wow, cant believe hhz showed us partially how to make his famous kick. thats usually the dj's secret recipe =]
not even headhunterz himself could remake the same sound... there's something "magic" behind kick... they're all different from each other...
love the finished kick O_O
what's your dj program or name for answer me thank you :)
Whats the name of the program you are using
@HardstyleMuzics whats the equivalent for windows?
What's the program that is used?
thx
