Nick, the Air France website issue that you described is a bug. You have to log out, then log back in. Then the search works again. I know this because I just dealt with this with a reward booking next August. It was super annoying and keeps happening. I had to log in several times while I was researching.
Are the AMEX business card offers only available for referrals if the referrer has AMEX business cards? Or will personal card holders get the referral offer? To business cards?
Easy solution to the issue of not being able to enter your SAS # at time of booking - When checking in to your flight, have the Agent put the number in for you.
