Absolutely love that they didn't want to put her in a dress that was out of her budget!!! Most other shops would purposely put her in the more expensive one hoping she would fall in love and then would just fork over the money. Respecting this bride's budget is a big reason why they are (along with Gok) the favorites for SYTTD.
Can you imagine what David Christopher would have done? He and his staff never respect a budget. They could take lessons from Jo, Al, and Auntie Gok
As a bridal consultant myself, i am ALWAYS transparent about pricing and budget. Brides are ALWAYS grateful when you do this, and it gains a bride’s trust because they know you aren’t trying to scam them out if money. ALWAYS be Team Bride, it’s the key to all my success
But some brides want bling and more bling more than they care about food for guests. Some don’t have a realistic idea of the cost. Nobody is forcing them to put a more expensive gown on but it’s good to see a realistic view of what their budget will buy.
I also love the fact that they dont talk numbers at all!

@@Annie_Lynn You know, some of these brides seem to think that if they say they really love the dress they can't affor,d the salon will say "Oh, that's ok, we'll give it to you for your price." It is a spoiled brat approach to dress shopping.
David Emmanuel, please take note -- THIS is how you please a bride WITHOUT forcing her to blow her budget! Super kudos to Jo and Al for not only talking her out of trying on something over-budget, but also coming up with a Plan B that was just as good and within her budget.
David neither owns the shop or writes the lines. He does not profit from selling one dress over the other. TLC pay him.
I don’t like him at all and his dresses don’t even come close to Gok’s.

He actually comes under budget a lot of the time.
I think that he is only on because he mad Princess Diana's dress. He is too smug for me.
It always drives me NUTS when the consultants on the other UK version of the show allow brides or even push brides to try on dresses over budget. I freaking LOVE Jo and Al. They should be used as the perfect examples on how to be a good wedding dress consultant. Bravo ladies.
Yet brides come into these comment boards and complain that they go to a shop and the consultanta automatically tell them they have no dresses for them.
While the brides are in the shop, they ought to try on some dresses. They get upset when they can't. Considering many brides adjust their budgets to fit their dresses, it may not be much of a problem as you think it is.
@@catladyfromky4142 yeah they always remind me to somone in a bra shop for very tiny/big sizes in hour city. Somone that truly helps and makes sure your confidence will be the best
It always amazes me in all the shops other than this and Goks' if a family says the budget is $6K for some odd reason the only dresses that will fit and make the bride happy are like $8K or above. No other less expansive dresses EVER make it into the fitting room. Weird, huh?

Kleinfeld's need you ladies on their team!! I loved the fact that they didn't want to put her in a dress that was out of her budget and have her fall in love with it and then be disappointed, she couldn't have it. Kudos to the sales team! A Beautiful Dress that Flatters the Beautiful Bride's figure that is within budget! It doesn't get any better than that! Well Done! Best Wishes to the Bride!

It's a balancing act; on one hand, consultants trying to make a living off mainly commissions have to push for a sale, or they don't earn money. Or, their bosses push them to bring in money and make a sale no matter what. On the other hand, what is just a sale to the consultant is the biggest day of a bride's life, so the consultant also has to keep in mind that this is a huge deal to the brides that come into their shop, and they want a nice dress, but can't go broke to make it happen.
@@sandydog426 I really do understand that. However, the integrity of the business is at stake here, along with their reputation. If the sales people work on commission, the business needs to change that. A business' reputation can go down quickly, through social media, etc. if they get too pushy for profits' sake. Making a living is one thing. Making a killing off another is different. xo.

How wonderful to see such respect for a budget, absolutely no pressure or shaming to buy something more expensive, and in the end, a beautiful dress the bride loves. This warms my heart!
This two women are amazing, I just love how they bringing up brides to be their confidence and they respect their wishes and the budget.
I love the way that Jo & AL always take the time to figure out what their brides need & if they can help in any way they do. Like finding a dress that's almost identical, but within the budget, add a touch of bling & the bride has her dream dress 💃💃
Massive round of applause for Jo et Al, who respected the bride's budget, didn't make a fuzz about it, and showed the bride an alternative that checked her criteria and taste! 👏👏👏👏👏
No frustration, no pressure, no financial constraint, it's all about meeting the bride's expectations!

And this is exactly why I love Jo & Al so much. They would never give a bride a dress that she couldn't afford, so unlike nearly all of the other, say yes to the dress shows. Oh, plus the two amazing ladies always make sure these brides leave feeling gorgeous & full of confidence.

Good on them for respecting her budget and not encouraging her to try on a dress she might have loved but couldn't buy. There's no point in stressing about how to afford the dress when there are so many other things to pay for with a wedding. I'm glad the dress belt gave her that extra detail she wanted without breaking the bank.
Plus she was raised right too. She was disappointed but was realistic and accepted their help and came out an absolutely gorgeous bride. Hope they have a wonderful wedding and long married life together.
What I love about this place is they don’t want to put an out of budget dress on a bride in case she loves it
This young lady looked so good in her wedding dress once the belt went on.
The fact they cater for the larger lady is another huge plus as the girls don’t have to imagine what the dress will look like once it’s in their size.

Love these ladies, they stick to the budget and make every bride that walks in happy and beautiful. They make me want to go cloths shopping with them haha.. Another bride that looks gorgeous!
Yet again these amazing ladies have done it again, they continue to help the bride's aspirations and dreams come true with a touch of lace and sparkle.
I needed the smiles from this one. I just found out that the Queen has passed on. I am an American, but I have loved her majesty ever since I can remember. The smile that Jo and Al made for this lady, was so wonderful. I sometimes think that these ladies are angels in disguise.

Bravo. Excellent, Al and Jo. The bride was a dear and her friends were kind, gracious and supportive and not at all pushy so I give them 10 gold stars! That’s the way for staff and entourage to be there for the bride.

This is maybe the 2nd video of this show where I have heard a budget mentioned, where in the others a budget isn't mentioned. The ladies came through and found a dress the bride love, and looks stunning in. Best wishes.

this is the first time i've really seen this show even talk price, i just kind of assumed they never asked about budget or mentioned the price of dresses because it was sort of a "super specialty so it's gonna cost ya and it doesn't make us look good to be like fat brides gotta pay $5k for a dress they sell to skinny girls for $1000." but damn that dress was under $1000 AND it looked fantastic on her, especially with the belt AND they didn't try to goad her into blowing her budget to sell a more expensive dress. this shop is just the best, hands down.

I like that these women really try to keep the brides within their budgets and get them into dresses that flatter them. I've never had an easy time shopping because of my size (even when I've been small i have a large bosom) and i feel for these women who want to look great on this important day. Even large ladies deserve to feel great.

I wouldn’t expect less from Jo and Al. They’re very honest and so uplifting, ALWAYS PUTTING THEIR BRIDES FIRST, I would never dream they would bait brides with dress they can’t afford like the big New York dress house. These gals have a long record of true service to their brides!

Kudos to those two ladies who had patience and the bride's best interest during the appt. They understand that going over budget is often no more than a "bait and switch" tactic designed to put brides in more expensive dresses that can mean a bigger commission for the sale. These two ladies remind me of salespeople back in the 1950s and early 1960s when I went with my mother for her dress shopping. A saleswoman worked with her throughout the appt., brought in dresses in her price range and style preferences, and worked tirelessly to ensure that my mother left with "the right dress" for the occasion. These two women represent two key words: service and respect.
