For those asking, the first dress I bought was second hand and having it altered to a corset back was my plan B, but I would have rather had a dress that fit properly in the first place. I did sell the original dress and recouped some money :) I know my hair, tattoos, piercings, and general style isn't to everyone's taste. I also know people feel the need to comment on size or other people's bodies but I'm used to it. Not everyone can be your cup of tea but I had a long, hard battle to find myself after suffering quite severe post natal depression and I express myself loudly. If you don't like that, sorry! As mentioned, I did lose 3 dress sizes but what I didn't realise is that my body would be a totally different shape after having a child. I lost weight where I didn't think I would, and it clinged to where I didn't expect. Therefore, the original dress wasn't a good fit. It fit my waist but not my bust. Being comfortable and not squished in was very important to me. The beautiful dress from Jo and Al also had much more of a vintage feel to it and I was much happier with it. My hair, I needed up out of the way because it was a heatwave and I was sooo hot! Yes, that's a septum bar through my nose, not a bogey! This was back in 2018, since then we have had another little boy and my husband has a beard and a nose ring now. He is fittttt and I am so lucky, and he still looks at me like this everyday ☺️ Jo and Al and everyone on the show were amazing. Yes things were edited and chopped, but more or less it was an accurate representation of one of the happiest days of my life. Everything was exactly how we wanted it and my husband thought I looked beautiful and that's all that matters ❤️ Thank you again to everyone who left such lovely comments xx

Right?? Just dresses in general. I am 19 years old and finding a dress to fit me to go to my formal was so difficult. Only two of them were in my size. It's like big girls just don't go out or anything 🙄

When I got married in the early 1980s, the place my mother insisted on dragging me to (I wanted to make my own gown but was forbidden from doing so by my parents...sigh) only had two dresses for me to try on, and even then they had to put a ton of lace appliqué to cover my cleavage. 😞

She obviously left it ‘pass the date’ to return the dress due to thinking she’d loose enough weight by the wedding day. Remember she said she’d already lost 3 dress sizes, so that would’ve taken a fair amount of time considering it was after her child was born and he’s a little boy now. To be fair most shops have a policy in regards to returning items within a certain timeframe, sometimes a month, or longer/shorter depending on the store.
@@stephanieheck9786 I learned that many designers tend to be snobs and prefer to envision their designs on thin women. That is why it is better to go to a good seamstress and either create your own vision or get a picture of what style you want and let the seamstress make it for you.

You both should make a how to video on doing up a corset for those who don't have you both to do it up in person. You both can't be replaced with all your knowledge and tips, but a video describing what you're doing and all the tips you have learned while you're being videoed doing it up. That could be very helpful to those bridal parties that are helping the bride get into their dress.

The wedding looks wonderful, I love the details and dresscode and of course absolutely gorgeous bride. Perfect choice! What I also love is Levi's personal style. Unfortunatelly many curvy girls here are not happy with their bodies and it seems to be like they decided that they don't deserve to take proper care of themselves and their looks at all :( It's sad to see sometimes. So it's awesome the ladies in that boutique are so nice and caring and they want the bride to feel beautiful.
I ended up getting pregnant with my son when we were three months away from our wedding. My boobs got so big we had to completely redo the back. Pulled out the zipper and added in corset. It was even prettier!
I know you left this comment a couple of years ago, but I just have to respond. The moment I saw you in that dress I said that you looked so much like my momma. She was married in the mid-fifties. That dress looked like hers, and you favor her so much from size, hair color, all the way down to the glasses. And you were absolutely beautiful. I dont know why so many fesigners still refuse to make bigger sizes, open bust lines, change color.. Like why can't they?
