I just don't understand how people think treating a being nicely somehow justifies killing them later, how has this sick idea been allowed to manifest into people's minds?
The thing is, that is not an idea. An idea needs to be thought about and an individual needs to come to the conclusion themselves. So its wrong to believe in Religion? I'm athiest myself but for the people who believe in their Religion and follow it, its wrong to try to convince them to change their beliefs. Hence, pushing beliefs on people.
@lucky buddha So just because someone is messing with "sentient" life as you described it vegans and animal rights activist needs to be in peoples face about how wrong it is. ive seen way too many people getting off light for trespassing. If you dont support it dont pay or put any money to it and leave it at that no further.
The guy shouting "pig is still tasty" is worse than the typical meat eater for one reason. Most meat eaters hate seeing scenes from slaughterhouses and they hate animal cruelty but yet make a decision to look the other way when eating meat and not think about it, instead they hope that their particular burger or steak came from an animal who was stunned properly and died as humanely as possible. This guy shouting knows and acknowledges the cruelty but unlike the typical meat eater has no emotional reaction to it and almost revels in it, which makes him worse when you really think about it.
Your comment is confusing. Plenty of religions support cruelty. Or were you trying to say they're actually using religion as a justification to support cruelty
"they actually believe a religion supports cruelty" Many do - with multitudes of apologists. If you feel inspired (or seriously bored) - strap on your armour & head off to your average Theistic forum. The Hebrew scriptures (Old Testament) have rules & regulations concerning which parts of animals to use in temple rituals. Animal sacrifice has been part of religion, for 1000s of years.
Oh my god I can’t see this footage, thank you all guys for the efforts you’ve been making, more than five years ago I became a vegan, it’s never a easy job being a vegan in China, but I did, and my mom followed me to be a vegetarian, I ll stick to that for the rest of my life, cheers, guys
Way to spread the love Joey! Its vegans like you that helped me to expand my compassion for animals. When you can expand your compassion for others, that is a spiritual revolution.
Tbf no one rlly helps the environment when people eat bread which majority contains Palm Oil. And where the Palm oil is found in trees then many animals are loosing there lives, spewing carbon into the atmosphere. And wiping out rainforests. 🤔
As always Joey, so much respect for you and your activism. Listening to what happens to them even after 6 years still brings me to tears. What man unkind does needlessly for moments of pleasure when we have amazing alternatives now is still beyond my belief.
I was in Lincoln not long ago and saw some animal rights activists with anonymous masks on holding tv screens showing the inside of slaughterhouses, but you couldn’t really se what was on screen since it was so sunny that day, and I literally saw a mum taking a picture of her daughter next to them. They probably didn’t see what was on the screens😳
I learned everything I need to know about God and religion when I was having sleep paralysis. I discovered that (after years of having it - learning to relax and float around, lead into epic lucid dreams etc) that I could start singing in my head. And as my emotions grew with the glory of the song, I could actually, sing... in sleep paralysis. And when I did, whatever I had manifested in the room, in some demonic form or twisting shadow, looked like it was no longer interested and left. It was a new, powerful, and easy to access way of stopping sleep paralysis. Then, I researched a bunch of other's experiences. The religious points of view regarding sleep paralysis were what opened my eyes. I had people telling me that I am doomed to suffer from this until I accept Jesus into my heart and invoke his name. I saw many people reiterating this statement. This absolute, that if you do not specifically invoke the name of Jesus then you will not be saved. But I WAS 'saved'. I freed myself with what.... emotion. Control over my emotions. Battling against the fear driven experience of sleep paralysis, with an experience I can create from within myself, that produces different emotions. Ones that directly counter fear. Pride. Confidence. Power. And I realised that when these people invoke the name of Jesus they are forcing themselves to feel something. That power comes from within them, it isn't gifted by anything. The God and Jesus is just the method in which they express the experience that they are feeling. There's actually nothing divine about it, at all. It's all in us. Singing, that's one of the main things people do in church to rouse the 'holy spirit'. Because it creates feelings of confidence, pride, and empowerment. It LIFTS YOU UP. Not Jesus. So all religion really is is a misinterpretation of our own feelings and experiences, combined with a fear of fear itself, and an illiterate, irrational fear of the unknown that causes them to shout at you and throw holy water if you try to teach them something new. And to see people still so dogmatic about this after having such a realisation of the truth of it all, is quite disheartening. And a bit funny. I mean they're going on about the Haram and how you'll be judged for giving someone fake Halal... when the reality of what he's saying is that 'you'll probably feel guilty if you lie to someone about giving them halal.' that's all thats at stake with that. And believe it or not, some people don't feel guilty about it. So it doesn't matter. Need to remind these people that there are rapists and murderers who experience Glee from these acts - not guilt. And the fact that they think they'll be damned by an external force for consuming non Halal is beyond me, do they believe that their Gods sanctioned this particular way of killing because it is HUMANE? Because it's not. They are blinded to even the fact that their precious Halal is not an effective system in this regard. If that's what it's all for. If it's for literally any other reason that they adhere to this then it is even more retarded.
Alex (Cosmic Skeptic) made an interesting point in his most recent video, comparing the satisfying of the senses. He compared killing for taste pleasure vs killing for the pleasure of enjoying the sound of a squeal. The people Alex was talking to were at a total loss for words. Joey commended him for the video.
Joey, you need an assistant to help when there are more people than you can talk to. It’s a good problem to have, but it sucks to see people that were engaged end up wandering off. Keep up the amazing amazing work, and thank you for doing what you do.

My old friend used to work at a slaughter house and kill cows. He said "they know". He said once the first few have been killed. The rest freak out and don't want to walk in. They are terrified. Even though they can't see what's going on. This really upset me. So I didn't eat cows after that. 30 years ago. Then I also stopped eating everything else, soon after, except fish and sometimes chicken. Now I am almost vegan. I eat my friends garden eggs sometimes. That's it.

You can probably ask if you can pay them for 1 pig or something and get it .
@@ananyasharma4220 I guess, but would that pay for more to take its place?
@@peomastagenuk yes, it would. Dont do this, please.

Love what you do Joey!
On a side note, does anyone else think that the guy who broke down was definitely a 6/10 drunk?

So great to see people who are actually open to the idea. It’s that simple - if you change sooner, you don’t have to feel guilty. Amazing word Joey as always!
This was actually a really good event. Keep up the good work.
Man that guy breaking down just asking "why do they put them in gas chambers?" over and over, I felt that.
Love ya, Joey! Thankful to have you on our side.
😊💕

Ah yes. The Canada Goose abusers

You went to the trouble of creating an account called "EatingMeatisGreat" and purposefully seek out videos about veganism to troll them in the comments section. If that's not a sign of insecurity in your dietary choices I don't know what is.
@@artistsanomalous7369 How is it a sign of insecurity? Clearly, you really dont know what it is cause that was the most single digit IQ comment ive ever read. So many great people you reached there!
These street debates of Joey's are exactly what turned me vegan 3 years ago. Keep up the great work bro.
I wanna do one of these stands demos, just gotta save up a little and plan the logistics.

... and so, in comes religion & out goes reason
Such a clever comment love:))) Much peace & respect:))))
In comes spirituality and out goes organized religion. See how that works?
So its wrong to believe in Religion? I'm athiest myself but for the people who believe in their Religion and follow it, its wrong to try to convince them to change their beliefs. Hence, pushing beliefs on people.
@lucky buddha So just because someone is messing with "sentient" life as you described it vegans and animal rights activist needs to be in peoples face about how wrong it is. ive seen way too many people getting off light for trespassing. If you dont support it dont pay or put any money to it and leave it at that no further.
There are many people who follow a religious faith and are also vegan.
You're simply fantastic, Joey!

Compassion over cruelty 💖✌
The guy shouting "pig is still tasty" is worse than the typical meat eater for one reason. Most meat eaters hate seeing scenes from slaughterhouses and they hate animal cruelty but yet make a decision to look the other way when eating meat and not think about it, instead they hope that their particular burger or steak came from an animal who was stunned properly and died as humanely as possible. This guy shouting knows and acknowledges the cruelty but unlike the typical meat eater has no emotional reaction to it and almost revels in it, which makes him worse when you really think about it.
Oh Gosh! Some people are so ignorant and narrow minded that they actually believe a religion supports cruelty!
Absolutely!
Off topic: i L 💜 V E your avatar pic!!
Your comment is confusing. Plenty of religions support cruelty. Or were you trying to say they're actually using religion as a justification to support cruelty
"they actually believe a religion supports cruelty"
Many do - with multitudes of apologists.
@@santiagohardy2728 Thank you very much 😍

Well done Joey , passing out free food is brilliant .

I love how Joey had no issues with those Muslim people and had a great conversation. I am also a Muslim and plant based😊
I hope we see a radical global shift to veganism soon.
Great work J. Thank you so much.

I just LOVE the fact Joey is doing Activism and there's a girl in the background singing with a beautiful voice!! It all goes along Love you Joey ❤❤
That's it.
Why is hardly anyone wearing masks walking around? Just noticed that. I live in the U.S. everyone is wearing masks when out and about
Because they're sick of the lies & waking up. Many in the US hate wearing masks but they live in fear & are mass hypnotized. They are a bit slower.

That is because off camera he would rob the person of that jacket and leave them in the street for dead.
