The most helpful thing about this video is seeing that your Camry cable setup is exactly the same as my 2002 Echo!!😜I can't find a listing anywhere for my Echo but there are Camry listings galore!!!🙃And ... the Dorman listings are useless because all they say is "fits select models" and never tell you what those models are!!! 😡
The latch lever cable end came out of my 2002 camry at the dash, I tried and tried to put the cabin cable end back into the latch lever, but I just couldn't do it. Then I saw your video here and realized there was a much better way to do it. Pop the cable end out of the attachment point at the Latch lever in the cabin to give myself MUCH more freedom to maneuver the cylinder end into the latch lever. I'm sure I will be able to pop it back in with as much ease as you showed doing it. Thank you so much Malarkey. I was thinking I was maybe gonna have to replace the cable!
Actually the zip tie idea was gold… I was going to go through all this until you showed what the previous owner did. About 2 minutes later and I have a new zip tie release and it’s well hidden 😂😂😂 Good video thought… thanks 👍👍
I went to Monroe to replace the latch and the cable. I opened my hood 3 times within 6 months to change the oil and after this time it not work anymore. With this information I'll replace it by myself. Thanks. 🇩🇴
