Very nice video but you left out a very important part when pulling the old cable through the firewall it’s a great idea to tie a Dragline with it so you can pull the new cable easily through the firewall otherwise it becomes quite a project Otherwise awesome video keep up the good work thank you you did help me out

@@mscdman any flexible line you can attach to the tip of the cable (wire, thinner cable, etc)
Really wish I saw this before I pulled it out
This was good for replacing the cable Uncle, but my problem is I gotta know how to get the hood open when the latch won't work in the first place.

Another one of those "instructional" videos with a gap ( 4:00 ) where he says you gotta feed the cable through the firewall. But he doesn't show or saw where the passthrough in the firewall is. Next scene shows the cable through the firewall. So did he take a trip to the dealer, who does know where the passthrough is but isn't saying.
Having a lot of trouble getting the cord back through the firewall
If you remove the wipers and the parts underneath it you’ll have a straight shot to the routing hole :) takes about 10 mins to remove everything .
hardest part that he skips is the hood is not open when the cable breaks
