- This is the new BMW Concept Skytop, a new concept car by BMW that reminds us a little bit of the $28 Million Rolls Royce Boat Tail. BMW has taken inspiration from the Z8, 503 and its 8-series and created a futuristic car with classic features.
The result is one of the coolest cars in the world. BMW revealed it at Villa d'Este for their annual Concorse d'Eleganza and has made this a 1-off concept car.

IDK about every bmw but the next gen 8 series coming soon should have that look for sure. its basically just a new version of the v12 8 series that had the shark nose. but overall the size of the grill could be used with the rest of them too

Too real, hmm I too I'm totally fed up with that plastic touch Mercedes often loves over investing in. At least BMW changed their game by working with carbon fiber decked dashboards and door sills. When they go luxury mode they do a great job with the leather from top to bottom, but with this one, they've totally outdone themselves 🔥🙌🏾♥️

i8 Roadster from a design perspective is more exotic and special looking in my opinion, dihedral doors 👀 kill this Aston / BMW love child mix... A leather manual targa roof is inconvenient and not durable long term, fade & scratches guaranteed.

@@sabeloshange6335The problem with all of these design except for a few is the whole design language is too ricey, angular and centres around two ugly giant oversized squares on the grill. With this skytop they finally return to something not so angular, classic, that's design isn't just based on two giant transformer looking squares on the grill

FOR A LONG TIME NOW BMW hasn't been doing beautiful, elegant, classy coupes and convertibles/coupes, so much so that I had to go buy from other brands!!
I am happy to say that after a decade they finally made something really absolutely elegant, classy and beautiful! WELL DONE!
All BMW needs is affordable cars with a relatively good engine, available in black or white and fake M badge. Muslims will do the rest

As a current 8 series coupe owner, I’d buy this in a heart beat.

this is what the 8 series should have been. a real flagship GT like the E31 was. the current 8 series is just a heavy 6 series.

This is the best looking BMW I’ve seen in many years, probably since the E60/90 series.
BMW all of a sudden decides to show us they still know how to make gorgeous cars.
Granted I do think the M3 and M4 are over-hated. The big grille looks fine on that car to me.

Just one thing you need to note is the fact that it's not been designed by the usual BMW design team, it was a group of men who came up with this design
you must have meant m3/m4? the m5 doesnt have big grill yet. the g90 was just announced and it has the big illuminted square grill. which is ugly. the m3 buck teeth grill looks better for sure

more like an 8 series than a z8 IMO. looks like a modern version of the E31. the shark nose is def borrowed from the e31. the boat tail look is from the z8 though. but i feel like a z8 should be a bit smaller. the z8 wasnt very small it has nice size and width but this one is very big like an 8 series. this is the 8 series we should have gotten instead of the one now thats just a 6 series lol
I’d put it in the Z series. You know, Z is their code letter for the convertible or 2 seater models like the Z3, Z5 and Z8 while the X is like their SUVs.

Finally an elegant BMW instead of the overly aggressive-filled-with-edges-and-massive-grill-look-at-me-I'm-loud type of concepts or cars. I hope they turn this language into something in production, even if it's just one family of cars, like the Series 6. It's absolutely beautiful, simple and elegant. Bravo BMW.

BMW nailed it. For me that' the best looking modern BMW. It has a combination of sportiness and elegance. REALLY REALLY hope this goes into production. And the interior, steering wheel and digital gauge looks similar to production cars so I think there is a high chance that this will go into production. If so, this will probably be the most expensive BMW.
