@@tomislavakovic6576 It's a mediocre game. Same old dark souls' cliche dying world, same old combat, repeating bosses etc. An argument could be made for sekiro but I believe it was released in 2019.

He is genius ♥️♥️♥️
I see you in the comments of every Kingdom Come video
TIL "Saint Barbara was an early Christian Greek saint and martyr. She is often portrayed with miniature chains and a tower. As one of the Fourteen Holy Helpers, Barbara is a popular saint, perhaps best known as the patron of armourers, artillerymen, military engineers, miners and others who work with explosives because of her legend's association with lightning, and also of mathematicians."

Consciously or not, you just consecrated the game to Saint Barbara with this theme. It would be awesome if the launch is on December 4th, on her liturgical feast❤
I think they will... It does make sense tho :)
The launch will be September sir, i know why,
@@kameltheterrible Has the date already been leaked? Where have you seen this?
And feast we shall!
It makes sense because of the St Barbara cathedral in Kutná Hora, which was shown in the preview trailer!

This theme is already legendary
I like how this doesn't sound like "videogame music". Not saying videogame music is bad, but that it usually has a somewhat distinct characteristic to it.
This here really sounds like a small excerpt of a larger symphony and not something you just have on the background while playing a game.
Some tracks in AC2 also feels like this, that grand symphony feel, especially the ones that plays during these sections where you have to obtain Assassin sigils or something in the churchs or dungeons, it also helps that both games settings isn't that far and the time period not being too far away (Italy 1500s vs Bohemia 1400s)
I would've included Oblivion and Witcher 3 if it wasn't for almost crystal clear vocals, and synthesized or perfectly timed instruments
yeah
Or a film soundtrack!
crusader kings 2serieshas similiar sounding music
This piece follows the form of Catholic liturgical music, but it still has the fantastical flourishes that separate it from most historical liturgical music.
Jan Valta - the great Czech composer of our time.
Thank you very much, Sir! :-)
Translated Lyrics:
Saint Barbara
Virgin of Nicomedia
Pray for us sinners

Gratias tibi ago, amice!
Thank you! Why Nicomedia? Wasn't this located in Turkey? Is there any relation to the storyline of Kingdom Come Deliverance II?
@@sandrogamperle2989 Saint Barbara is the patron saint of Kuttenberg (Kutná Hora), which is one of the main location of the story.
@@TheRavenD Ah, that explains it. Thank you very much for the clarification, much appreciated!

I think one of the key factor which made KCD 1 one of the most immersive game i've ever played is the BGM/OST of the game, such beautiful compositions from Jan Valta & Adam Sporka
i'm very happy Jan Valta is doing the sequel's soundtrack, as the first game's score was fantastic. 🙏
Jan Valta has to be one of the best composers of our time, amazing music! Also find it very cool Warhorse has their own Studio Orchestra, and a bigger music team working on the project!
Our Orchestra was freelance, made of the best Prague musicians - actually, with many of them I also recorded KCD1 in 2017! And the Choir was exquisite too. Anyway, thank you for your wonderful words!
@@janvalta7752 My friend you are up there with the elite like Jeremy Soule and Jesper Kyd.
2018からこの6年、とても長く感じました。ありがとう
Two days ago I visited Kutna Hora (Kuttenberg) and Bohemian Paradise (45 km by bike, Trosky Castle etc 'checked'). The name of the song, Saint Barbara, is probably a reference to the large, soaring church on a hill in Kutna Hora. I highly recommend everyone to visit this beautiful region of the Czech Republic.
Not a reference.
@@17MrLeon so what should we visit then ?
Saint Barbara was a patron of miners (among others). That's why she was also the patron of the Kuttenberg. I wanted to reflect that in the soundtrack. So, in one of the key themes for the game, I used the prayer to her.
And I fully agree with you, both regions are amazing & Kuttenberg is a must see! 👍
@@janvalta7752 amazing job with this theme. I was not expecting your comment tho. Have a great day.
@@historiewarteuwagi Thank you & have a great day too, Sir! 🙂
The ‘Dies Irae’ quotation right at the opening and throughout really sets the tone wonderfully here! I love the subtle hints to the original soundtrack as well
Hey Gabriel, I hope you are still doing well! You are right in both, although I have to admit that the four-note quotation of the Dies Irae was more of a sub-conscious thing for me. 🙂 Anyway, cheers to you & thanks!
@@janvalta7752 haha, the best genius is the genius you didn't notice at the time 😉 It's interesting how much seeps into our subconsciousness and finds its way onto the page
KCD was an amazing piece of art, despite limited resources. It's artistic, fun, unique, and immersive. One of the best games and the best first outing of any studio. Seeing Warhorse achieve the success they deserved and now be able to make the game they wanted makes me happy. These projects show that games can be art and make me proud to be a gamer

Saint Barbara is (among others) patron of all miners. Since medieval Kuttenberg gained its wealth from silver mines, she also became the patron of the town itself.
That's why I chose these lyrics.
Hope it helps & thanks for your kind words! 🙂
the music from jan walta is not that great tbfh, this one is a bit meh.
I love it so much. I would probably begin vibrating at the same frequency as a dying star if you were to release both the song that plays during the banquet/festival/dance scene from the trailer and also the track that plays during the more visceral combat sequences. Valta and his minstrels are second to none. So much love for all you do!
Warhorse have come to see us!
I love music from Jan Valta, he's a very talented man and i can't wait to hear more of his songs in game
He is also really nice i remember when they did women lot he gave me the translation in English
This song makes me nostalgic for a future that hasn't even come to pass. I can already remember booting up KCD2 for the first time, setting up my options to this game, then hitting new game and after that... bliss.
Jan Valta is new Jeremy Soule.
The first game soundtrack gave me biiiiig oblivion vibes at times. It hits just the right spot.
agree
He is not the new Jeremy Soule, he is the one and only JAN VALTA.
@@arturoroldan4839 I respect him but Soule is like Mozart in the gaming industry lol. Believe me even Mr. Valta would consider it an honor to be referred to as the new Jeremy Soule.
@@gamermanofficial As good as he may be, I REALLY hate when people compare geniuses like them in this manner. You would never call Beethoven the new Mozart, right? Of course not. Beethoven is Beethoven, and Mozart is Mozart.
You reach the end of a forest with your fellowship and see Kutná Hora for the very first time at the horizon.
the music is so strong! never feel so much joy and anticipation from a game soundtrack... I love it so much!❤
I wonder what beautiful scenery will accompany such a musical masterpiece
Everything about KCD is a masterpiece. Warhorse, stay awesome!
Thats a banger
Though I know she is the saint of artillery, explosives and lightning, here in Portugal, this saint is worshipped in a "funny way" in some areas of the countryside.
Because she is associated with lightning, and not that well known to begin with, her myth "evolved" into having died by lightning, instead of having the lightning just strike her father.
Which is why she is depicted as *black* in these churches.
Not for being african, but for being literally "cooked" by lightning.
I love the portuguese countryside lmao
Oh, and I will also share a common portuguese saying regarding her:
"Só quando troveja se lembra de Santa Bárbara."
"Only when you hear thunder do you remember St. Barbara."
It basically means "You only remember I exist, when you need my help".
In Czech folklore, she is mainly seen as the saint patron of mining.
@@Jemnej I live in Silesia, Poland and here also she is mainly a patron of mining. We even have miners day "Barbórka" on December 4th, when Saint Barbara was born.
Btw never in my life I've seen her depicted as black, but maybe it's just Portugese thing with artillery.
Kuttenberg (Kutná Hora in Czech) was a silver mining rich city and Saint Barbara is the patron of mining.
that's so cool! in Italy she's patron saint of the navy and firefighters
@@MiStiQueT cool to know, our firefighters are usualy under patronage of Saint Florian

Thank you guys for all the work, time, practise and thought.
I cannot think of any other studio in which I have the utmost reverence.
Warhorse Studios is awesome man. Their commitment to historical accuracy and respecting history is truly worthy of praise. In the end, history should always be represented with respect, since it is the experiences and hardships our ancestors went through that paved the way for the world we live in today, and I think Warhorse truly understands this.
