Me and a bunch of friends are seeing the 50th Anniversary global showing of Enter The Dragon for the first time in the theater tomorrow August 13th. Big Bruce Lee fans so we can't wait to see it on the big screen.
That’s awesome! I wanted to go to that myself but unfortunately I’m working on the two days their doing the showing. I hope you enjoy it, I’m sure it’s going to look on the bug screen.
Classic Bruce Lee - picked this up for $10 on 4K when it was on sale - what a deal!
That’s an absolute steal!
My dad and I have owned this flick on every format from Betamax and VHS to multiple editions on DVD and Blu-ray. Its amazing how much improvement this release still has above its prior dips…so it’s still quite a profitable property for WB
That’s what I found fascinating when ai was researching this one is how much money this has made. To only cost $850 thousand and to have made over two billion adjusted for inflation is unbelievable. It makes me think can this movie look better in another 10 years lol.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia it was WB’s 2nd highest grossing film of ‘73 behind The Exorcist, but my dad told me it had bigger crowds when he saw both at The Chinese Theater in Hollywood. On its opening weekend, it was packed with martial arts students from different schools and many of them also wore their uniforms to rep their dojos, so it became like a gang gathering with a lot of cops around!
That’s so awesome. That’s something I wish I could see. That’s when movies truly were events and you had to see them or you would miss them.
Me too that's why I've just had the 4k arrow set (brilliant) with thec49th anniversary dragon blu ray. But still purchased this 4k + blu ray disc.
But the Beta version was better than the VHS, eh?
I really hated having to cave in to this 4k title. After owning every edition on VHS, DVD and Blu-ray (3 editions including the Criterion set), I thought I’d be indifferent by now to spend another cent on a title that is practically embedded in my head by now, frame by frame! Here’s the kicker: the digital copy I had already on Vudu in HDX was upgraded free of charge to 4K and AppleTV also added many of the bonus materials from the previous WB release, which was not included on this physical release. The audio and video quality was commendable but I’m sure we were all expecting more stuff for being another anniversary release! I’m also a big fan of Lalo Schifrin, and the new atmos audio gives his score even more snap, crackle and pop!
That was my biggest flaw. I was so impressed with the transfer. It never looked and sounded better. The lack of no bonus features on the US release was just cheap in my opinion. This is one of the most beloved films ever and is Bruce Lees most famous film. I just thought it deserved more in the extras.
Very good review man! Glad a lot of people are seeing it(over 6.6k as of this comment)!
I managed to see this in theaters a few days ago. Upwards of sixty in the theater, not bad for a 50 year old film.
Yours is the second review on the 4k I've seen so far, and both of you are ultimately disappointed. Warner dropped the ball here. This is the 50th anniversary of an iconic martial arts film. There should be a ton of extra content to check out, even if much of it has been released before. Such a shame.
Thanks for the review, i subscribed👍
Thank you so much for subscribing I really appreciate it! I think this video doing good is an illustration of how popular this film still is 50 years later and you seeing it in the theaters with people showing up for it. That’s really why I was disappointed because of all the films that deserve to be loaded with extras this is close to the top. Bruce Lee left behind a huge legacy that people still resonate with.
If there is not going to be a 4j remastered standard blu ray disc (with the extras), not any new extras , then I can understand not putting the extras on this disc . If we should keep the prior blu ray as the blu ray option then that’s one thing .
However if they’re going to double dip , that becomes an issue .
. I’m kind of surprised as WB seemed to pull this stunt with Exorcist too: limited edition (only 2000) special box set with remastered 4K and blu ray and 5th disc with all the old extras ; limited edition steel book; standard edition with the original poster art for the slip cover , and the remastered films on 4K and blu ray…… in the US we get just a standard edition on 4K only , bad new art on the slip cover , no blu tay , no bonus features, same price as the UK edition .) what gives ??????
That’s the question i’m asking myself. The UK got a second blu ray given it’s the 40th anniversary edition but I would of took that packed in here just for the extras. That box are on the Exorcist 4k really bothers me because they could of just used the iconic poster. I still pre ordered it and it says on bluray.com that’s it’s 2 disks with the two cuts so should have some extras but i’m guessing not that many.
So much disrespect to the legend of Bruce Lee with this release. I agree, this disc should have celebrated his life for the 50th anniversary and they let us all down including Bruce.
That’s what really bothers me. This should be one of their stand out releases of the year. A celebration of a classic film and Bruce Lee.
I’m glad there’s no blu ray or special features. Admittedly the price should be lower.
Yea that’s why I couldn’t give it lower then 7. Even i’m disappointed by that’s stuff not being included. The disk it self is great. I think the perfect prove point is about $18.99.
If *Bruce Lee* were alive today, he'd be a sick old Man...
...and this release would make him grumpy as well!
lollll he would be very grumpy.
Not having a physical disc with special features is a slap across the face to everyone buying a physical copy of a movie. Putting it on digital just encourages people to pirate
I couldn’t agree more. The Special features is one of the big differences in Physical and digital.
Good observation comparing The Man with The Golden Gun with it. No doubt. The reason for no extras is because WB doesn’t have them. Henry Wong’s behind the scenes interviews was sent to Golden Harvest according to Paul Heller.
Thank you for the compliment, That would make it more understandable for sure. For some reason the UK release of this got the second disk so this would make sense that only the rights would be available in other regions but not here.
Why WB keeps shortchanging the US market whilst showering the UK market with all the sweet supplementals and special features will always be baffling to me
I will never understand it. My best guess is that they had extra 40th anniversary disks lying around and through it in their physical release or as someone else mentioned it could have something to do with the rights but that I don’t know because they did the same thing with Rio Bravo and East of Eden.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMediaThey're fuckin us over on the Exorcist too! Any other studio wouldn't cheapskate us like this. I mean I'll eventually own them...on black Friday...2024 😂
I’m positive now i’m going to be letdown by the exorcist as far as extras go. I was really hoping for that thing to be loaded up but if they did this to Enter the dragon, I can only imagine how The exorcist will be.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia I'll spoil it for ya. Theatrical + dir cut and commentaries. Thats it! And whack cover art too.
Ooooo I know loll That Box art is awful. I still pre ordered it because i’m a huge fan but I have a feeling i’ll be let down again.
WB, very strange. When Rebel Without A Cause and Cool Hand Luke were released, they had extra features on it and a Blu-ray Disc. Now, we get this one, East Of Eden, and Rio Bravo and nothing extra. Hell, Rio Bravo never even got a steelbook version and no slip cover for the regular 4K. But then again, my older Blu-ray of Rio Bravo had no extras on it either.
That’s what’s so surprising to me. I bought t house in early April with the Maltese Falcon and all 3 had second disks with extras. Now this, Rio Bravo and East of Eden don’t. Rio Bravo is almost $30 right now with no slip cover. I just don’t understand that. You took stuff away and are charging the same prices. If you want to just release the 4k on its own and that’s it. I’m ok with that but just adjust the price. Their doing great transfers as far as the disk quality but your trying to cut corners in other places while asking for the same money.
Great review! I picked up the Best Buy 4K Steelbook. Enter The Dragon was the first movie I ever saw on home video on VHS. Back when Radio Shack had stores and when they got in their first VHS home video player. It was enormous a top loader, this was the demo movie. I spent the afternoon in the store watching the movie and just hanging out. Those were good times then..
Thank you so much for the compliment I really appreciate it. That made so nostalgic thinking about RadioShack and VCR’s I never thought we would miss that time but it was really special.
The 80's were real great for electronic fans. Everything was more fun.
The world just isn’t the same anymore. The Tech might be better but I feel like we take it for granted now. Back in the day we appreciated more I think.
What a joke. Arrow did that stunning boxset, and Warner let it down. Cheapskates, great review. Film file is only 35+ gig (Yikes), i see a few compression artifacts, and the mono track was alot better quality on the CC Blu-ray
I would be a little more forgiving if it wasn’t Enter the dragon. If this was just a regular movie coming to 4k with some fans I could move past it. But this is one of the most popular films ever with so many fans and you treated it like it was nothing special.
100 percent agree mate, for such an iconic movie this should have been the ultimate release, seamless branching for both cuts to preserve the highest bitrates and a seperate Blu-ray disc for the old special features and some new ones. They could have done that if they wanted too. Such a shame. But like you say it’s not like the movie looks bad but it has so much more potential.
That’s what makes it tough to go full blown negative on this. The film has never looked and sounded better but for certain classic films I just think they should be given special features to make it feel like a collectors edition. I’m hoping that The Exorcist 4K has special features on it.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia At least because this 4k came out so good I can feel safe about purchasing THE EXORCIST without waiting for a review. Since EXORCIST and DRAGON came out same year and same studio.
Bruce Lee was amazing, still no one can hold a candle to him even in 2023.
He was incredible! I was watching this with my wife and she was like look at his physique. He was truly one of a kind who couldn’t just be replaced.
not just that but insane charisma his intensity @@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia
I agree a 100%
No one we know of.
I got the 40th year anniversary edition blu-ray and it’s loaded with features..
That’s the blu ray I was hoping they would of put in here. Just as a pack in.
I'm a bit confused here.
As there are more editions yet to come next month.
Were you not aware of the 50th annerversary Limited 4K editions at HMV, etc.
Out next month.
They include two different steelbook variants, loaded with extras, lobby cards, exclusive extras unique to each set.
There was a 3000 warner bro colletors edition with yellow steelbook and a cine 1000 hmv variant with that red steelbook on pre order.

I was aware of those but I was just reviewing this one which is the common release that most people will be getting as those are limited collectors editions. I would love to grab that one but that’s something I can’t afford at the moment. I am really only bringing up the lack of extras for what they are charging for this. That’s way to over priced for one disk and they just had to add toe 40th anniversary edition to this set and there would be no complaints. WB was doing that recently until they just started making their 4K releases 1 disk but not adjusting their price. They basically started giving consumers less but charging the same. I do hear what your saying and i’m sorry if I misled you. I want be clear I still think this is a great disk i’m more disappointed with how WB treated customers nor with the transfer it self.
Get the 40th edition blu ray bundle it's £15 only and contains exactly the same content, lobby cards etc as the forthcoming 4k limited bundles.
That's a cheaper alternative to be complete.
That’s a good idea. I wish they would of just included it like they used to. They included the second disk in the UK, I’m not sure about region c
The Arrow Bruce Lee 4K set blows this bare bones disrespectful release away.
If I had the money that’s the way I would of gone. That’s a beautiful set.
I wish you reviews the steelbook set where they give you posters and things
I wanted to review that beautiful set but I just didn’t have the money so that’s why I grabbed this one. It really is so nice though that box set.
Arrow Films did it justice with the added features to Enter the Dragon. It's only one of 10 other discs with sooo much content.
That Box set I heard was incredible. That’s the difference between a studio putting out the physical release and a boutique label which usually cares about the fans.
There is both a theatrical and extended version on one 100gb disc. Also extras not in 4K. Additional enhanced audio. This much video and enhanced audio on 1 100gb disc is concerning. I would bet the actual movie is only 35gb's. No matter how much massaging that Warner did to enhance the picture, how good could a 4K 35gb movie be? That's less than a bluray 1080P. Warner should have made a single movie at 90gb's. Very disappointing.
I was actually surprised at how they made it work on the disk. It looked great and sounded great. I read some people and very minor issues with the audio because of the amount of space used in the disk but not to many complaints. I would of preferred them separated on different disks and some extras on both disks but unfortunately this was the route they chose.
At this point at least I’m happy it came with the original mono track along with Lee’s ACTUAL voice intact on the extended scenes.
That is a good point. The audio was great.
I always think people consider audio to be second to visuals and just don’t give it enough attention. I’ve been guilty of that myself. This one though is impressive just because of what it sounds like the shape of the original source material was in.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia yeah in media it’s pretty important to preserve the theatrical mix especially folks don’t know the small nuance changes on the SFX etc. Hong Kong films are the most guilty of them all for example like how they updated new explosion/gun sounds etc which gets rid of the charm imo. People don’t realize how much they “George lucas” on the new mixes on the audio cues etc on older films in general and I do hope more would realize for presentation/preservation sakes. Even the Atmos mix does not have Lee’s real voice in the extended scenes and some of the punch effects is different. The fact Warner gives a crap at all for this mono mix while digging the holy grail of actually finding Lee’s real voice is sure a damn miracle and I hope companies actually learn that.
Got mine the other day as well as the BRUCE LEE 4k set.
Was really hoping for some other 50th anniversary 4K editions from Warner like ... MEAN STREETS, RISKY BUSINESS, PAPILLON and WESTWORLD.
I heard a rumour about westworld but it wasn’t coming directly from WB. I would love to see all of those on 4k but I don’t think we’ll be getting them this year.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia Have a feeling we might get a Criterion announcement for .. Mean Streets 4K .. for Nov or Dec. Well, Kino doesn't do Warner I think so WESTWORLD might come from SF.
I hope you right and Mean Streets is the perfect movie for the Criterion collection while Westworld would be a perfect shout or Shout Select 4k release. They did Rollerball early this year and that looked great on 4k
This is not the only version they have released, all the extras are on the special edition that they have released.
That Special edition isn’t really a standard collectors edition and I know personally I couldn’t afford that and probably most people. The issue here is that they are charging a high price for a bare bones package.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia yeah true… that’s Warner Brothers for you 😂
It sure is loll. Their sure living up to what people thing of them lol
That's pretty weak that they don't at least carry over the ETD Making of documentary that's in the Criterion blu ray set. They do appear to be including some of those archival features on the big WB 4K box set/steelbook collector's edition of Enter the Dragon (which I have pre-ordered... though I'm still on the fence as to whether or not I'm gonna actually go through with it), so it's strange that they didn't include them in the standard 4K release. Thanks for the heads up man, because I was thinking about canceling my deluxe edition and just getting this one. But now I'm not sure what I want to do.
No problem Fuzz! If it were up to me and I could swing the money I would absolutely get that beautiful box set just for the extras and beautiful packaging. I think your going to be really impressed with the Visual and audio quality of the disk though so I can’t say it’s a failure I just wish there was more to it or it cost $18 to make up for the lack of a second disk or extras.
Strange in the u.k it has the blu ray disc aswell with all the special features tho its the 40th anniversary disc again.
That’s what I was expecting to get here in the US but for some reason didn’t. I’m guessing and this is only a guess is they had extra region b blu rays so they just packaged them in and didn’t have that much if any of the region A blu rays.
I agree with you. They should yave gone all out with this one. So it's just a cash cow.
It always does well on home release so I think this would of sold well regardless so it feels like they just put as little effort in as possible. But they did a great job on the new scan so I can’t say a bad thing about that.
Great review John. It's disappointing there's no extras for the 50th anniversary. But I'm glad the film itself rockin'.
Enter the Dragon non steelbook is $30 USD in Canada before tax which makes it about $45 in Canada with the government grab. I'm still going to order it today, but I wanted to see your in depth review first along with a few other reviewers.
Thank you so much Jason for the super thanks I really appreciate that so much buddy. I just wanted to make sure I was clear that the disk it self is great because I might love extras but I know for a lot of people the disk quality is most important and I can’t take that away from WB. The movie has never looked and sounded this good.
I paid $32.99 for it at Best Buy. For the steelbook.
I think it would be less upsetting if it wasn’t Enter the Dragon. If this was Towering Inferno just to use as an exampleI think I would be a little less bothered but I still wouldn’t be happy with that price lol.
Dude, I wouldn't pay it and send these guys a message that they need to have a lower price if it's going to be a 4K only with no special features and no reversible artwork! As collectors, We have standards damn it 😄
We should of saw this coming when Shout and Scream factory stopped making all their covers reversible lol.
Pretty sure there's no bluray cause Criterion still have those rights... Heck the bluray in the UK set is simply the old bluray that's been out for years, no new remaster for that.
Yes I think they got the 40th anniversary disk in there set. I think if that was an option, I would of preferred that over nothing. They charged like there was a second disk in this lol.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMediaWell... you're welcome to come here to Denmark and pay the 249 danish kroner (36,69 dollars and that's standard price for any new 4k) without any kinda slipcover or digital code.. ;)
Wow that’s a lot of money for one 4K disk. I didn’t know that. I’ve been seeing the constant rise in price but that’s crazy. New releases here for like studio films out of theaters that’s what they charge here now.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia Yea that's why I always laugh at americans complaning about the "LOW" prices you guys have compared to me haha ;)
I never knew loll. I do try and make it a point to point out that’s where I live. I do look up Region B prices mainly in the UK and differences but that’s usually pretty comparable to our prices here. I do need to be more aware that these videos do go worldwide. It seems really dumb for me to complain in comparison to what your paying.
Keeping my Blu-Ray with all it's extras. I did pick up the 4K though, one of my favorite movies.
That’s the best of both worlds. I wish I had the old blu ray for that reason lol
Theres no special features caus there releasing a 4k special edition thats coming out in a few weeks. But from what i see theres nothing new from the other blurays, so honestly this is the version to get u nless you want some posters and photo cards that come with the special edition. If you bought the arrowfilm 4k box set youll get all the special features for enter the dragon. Then just need this disk to complete it all.
That collectors edition box set is beautiful, I would of preferred that but the price was to high for me. Arrow did an incredible job in the box set, That’s probably the ultimate Bruce Lee set. I would really have no problem if it was cheaper because at least you adjusted for taking away features but instead you charge the same while giving less. It also softens the blow with the disk it self being beautiful.
I already have the Blu-rays so I don't need the special features but it kind of makes you have to keep the Blu-ray and I am disappointed at that price point. I think it should have started out at $20. Even the movies that include special features on the 4K I think should be 20. because there's no Blu-Ray so the cost is less so I'm definitely going to wait for a sale! probably get it at 20 but maybe even 15. Because I already own this movie and I just feel this is a bare Bones release for this but I'm happy that it got a nice 4k with an atmos track.
That’s the best way to look at it. If you all ready have the blu ray waiting for the sale is the best idea because you know it will be on sale soon. I agree a 100% that’s $20 is the perfect price point for any movie that is a 1 disk 4k.
This disc holds no suprises for me. It’s Warners…I was expecting nothing and got nothing…
Loll I love that line.
Outstanding
Thank you so much!!
Wait for black Friday country Canada/American 😮😊❤
That’s when it should be a reasonable price.
Good work with your review, while surprised there wasn't anything extra for it. You would think they'd add more content for it, especially for the price. Still, I love the movie. Still one of my favorites and a shame we lost an amazing legend like Bruce Lee so early.
Thank you so much buddy! If the price was a few dollars cheaper it would be more understandable but I also think they would want to celebrate this film more with a ton of extras. When I was watching this last night I was thinking the same thing. Imagine we got decades more of work from him. And then to have his son pass away so young to. His wife introduced the movie and I felt so bad for her, Burying her husband and son in her lifetime.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia Yeah and within 20 years. Bruce in 73 and Brandon 93. Its a horrible feeling to lose someone you love and married, but to also lose one of your children. Still, at least their legacy lives on.
That’s one thing that i’m sure she’s proud of that both of them left long lasting Legacy’s behind. Bruce’s legacy is one I think will live on forever. He’ll always be recognisable for his talent.
I think the UK version has a Blu-ray and this movie together why not the US
The UK did get the second disk. I’m not sure why the US got shafted. Maybe they had extra region b blu rays lying around and just through them in.
Thank you for that as I'm in the UK and have the 4k + bluray together but I'm being lambasted and being doubted. Glad someone is aware.
The 4k +Blu Ray purchase has lots of extras on the Blu ray disc but nothing on 4k disc. Just buy what you want with bit of research.
There is no second blu ray disk that’s why there is no extras. I’m a little confused by this comment to be honest sorry.
Strange that you say that as that's what I purchased.
Here on UK you can buy 4k + digital version, 4k and Blu Ray which I purchased and a collectors set with lobby cards and steel book version. Don't make me out a liar when I'm holding the disc. Shame I can't show the image.
no i’m not making you out to be a liar but I didn’t know you purchased it in the UK which yes did get the second disk. You can see in my video which is a Region A 4k that didn’t come with a second blu ray or extras. There’s a difference in region releases my friend.
I didn't realise that as nearly every 4k is region free, so I presumed we'd all have same options. Strange that you don't have that option as its American anyway? Are they trying it on with another release option later? Wouldn't surprise me when money is involved.
Thanks for the comprehensive review!
Thank You so much Jason I really appreciate this so much!!!
No problem John, cheers!
Cheers! buddy!
Do you know if this is the same transfer as the Criterion box set?
No it’s not this is a brand new 4k scan. I haven’t seen the Criterion one but I looked at some screen shots and from what I can tell this is a big improvement
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia Good to know! Thanks!
It's not a very good movie. Essentially a remake of the first Bond movie Dr. No with a bunch of martial arts thrown in. A script today would have certainly included a face-off between Bolo and Bruce (what were they thinking never pitting these two!). The subplot about Lee's sister isn't very convincing. Lee pontificates too much. The ending is messy and confused. But all that said Lee's charisma is undeniable and he would certainly have gone on to star in even bigger, better-written films. And I suspect he could have even transitioned to straight acting when he got past a certain age. So the film ends up, in my mind, as a sad "what could have been".
I actually don’t disagree with you on a lot of what your saying from a film point. I don’t think it’s a perfect film and does have a lot of flaws. That’s why I say it’s more entertaining but I’d o have some issues with the plot and story and the sister subplot is the biggest one it feels shoehorned in. I did feel like it took stuff from Bond but then I feel like a bond ripped this movie off with The Man with the golden gun. I do think he would of been even bigger if he had lived longer. This was only his second language film and he had so much Charisma and talent that maybe he wouldn’t of been an academy award winning actor but he easily could of been a big action star up there with Arnold but in the 1970s and then still been there in the 80s.
I only cared about the visual upgrade to this film on this release, so am extremely happy. I didn’t expect for a single second there would be anything new extras wise, feel a bit sorry for anyone who did. I own everything on BL including all rare footage, the arrow set too which is the best set ever done on BL, destroys that American release u guys got by criterion etc. what u expecting it’s been 50 years dude. Most the extra footage people talk about has either surfaced or simply doesn’t exist, talking ETD specifically tho WB prob binned anything they may have had along time ago, rumours of 6 hours of doc footage of ETD apparently sat in an unmarked can, also smells like billy bullshit and unlikely, the xtra don’t matter on this set coz u can get extraordinary good ones elsewhere. If 6 hours turned up one day that would be fab, for now having hours of GOD outtakes / rushes and a 10 minute extra long mandarin cut on The Big Boss ain’t too bad eh. Also having both versions on this release also fab. The colours were beyond SHIT on the 40th so over saturated was practically unwatchable, so am super happy they sorted such things out. Wb have always been lame, I tossed out the silly cardboard sleeve myself as it’s both pointless and it’s got 100 years written all over it hahah looks
Pants. Just the actual case looks cools as is… Have a good one fella 👊
Thank you so much for the information I really appreciate it and you do raise some points. I understand why they couldn’t get the Criterion extras on here. I haven’t owned this physically and I wanted to see the curated extras. I did most of my research on UA-cam and reading about it but it would of been cool in one place. I still have it a 7 because I can’t deny that Picture and Audio Quality, It’s stunning. I just watched Taxi Driver on 4k the other day which is 3 years later and the difference in 4K quality is very noticeable. I just wish if they weren’t going to include anything else but the New 4k they would of made it a little cheaper.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMediaprob coz taxi D was edited in states, ETD was edited in a horrid dusty edit suite in Hong Kong, all the producers of ETD are amazed they managed to get the film they ended up with considering the terrible conditions in HK back then ha. But yes at the end of the day the original print of ETD was always pretty ropy sadly, but least this release is a major upgrade pic wise. Which is Awesome. U can only polish a turd so much ha even with todays tech..
I didn’t even know that the conditions were that bad that makes the visuals even more impressive. They really cleaned this up amazingly. The first time I saw this I remember it looking bad. I didn’t care at the time most older stuff on VHS usually looked rough lol. Tech has come a long way even 10 years ago this movie didn’t look this good or close to it really.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMediathere was something kinda magical about vhs tapes mind, I miss the days of vhs rental (blockbusters and such), going in a choosing a title was great as kid..
I miss that all the time. We take for granted now with having every thing available to us but you also loose just randomly discovering a movie because you liked how the box art looked.
How does the transfer compare to criterion collection?
I haven’t seen that one but this transfer visually looks very similar to recent WB catalog titles. I looked up some pics form that Criterion release and it looked like a big improvement. The visuals are stunning on this in my opinion.
I ordered the amazon one. box set and it will be out in theater
Their doing a fandom events for it by me but they always put those in the worst theatre with a bad projector unfortunately or I would go to see it on the big screen.
Just got this today. Got it primarily for the audio upgrade which is big.
a you’ll be very happy then. The Audio and Visual upgrade can’t be denied.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia the only problem I have with many of these releases is that they do not include Dolby Vision except in the streaming. Any reason why? Is there a hit in quality with not have Dolby Vision on the physical disc?
I’m not sure what the reasoning is, WB seems to not use Dolby Vision with most of their 4k releases, I used to think it was rights thing but if you have DOLBY Atmos that can’t be it. My best guess is they like to use HDR10 only and then adjust from that.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia audio and video are absolutely stellar but it isn’t a collector’s edition !
They do have a really nice box set coming out that will have some really nice packaging and I can see that will have a second disk so that will include extras im sure. They could of easily just put all previously released extras on a second disk and it would be fine but they wanted to maximise profit on this.
Bruce Lee was killed as well as his son and no one was prosecuted for it ridiculous
Oof sad to see this a disappointment
if you just want the disk it definitely is worth it but not having anything else is disappointing.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia no I just use the digital codes not the 4K unfortunately
I understand that. I assume the digital code is in 4k also.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia sure though if bluray its HD
I'm not that a big special features guy but this should of had more I must admit, great informative video mate 👍🎥💿
Mine has 2 discs mate 4 k Blu-ray and Blu-ray disc
Does it really? maybe Region B got the second disk. I checked the 4k here to and that was also one disk.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia just got a nice tshirt in IV made a short video 🦇👍
That’s awesome! Thanks for making you videos Stuart i’m enjoying them.
Should have been a directors cut!
it does have the special edition on the disk, From what his widow said introducing it, That’s the version he preferred.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia I'm pretty sure there's much footage that didn't make the final cut. Look at all the footage they found for Game of Death.
I’m sure there’s a lot that was left behind. He passed away while still doing ADR so i’m sure they had stuff he didn’t get to voice work for that they just left behind. I don’t know if they would ever go do like a final cut like a blade runner and just clean it up but if they ever do i’m all in on it.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia Thanks for the info.👍
No problem it’s my pleasure.
The Video and Audio is amazing the atmos is great listen too!
I have absolutely no issues with The Visuals and audio. The video quality is a 10/10 there is no question about it.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia Since I seen this movie so many times I can wait for a sale. But had this movie been put out in steelbook with original movie poster as cover than I would have bought for sure.
I don’t blame anyone for buying this as long as you don’t mind there being no pack in blu ray or extras. For me personally who loves to watch the extras this one hurts but I will not say that they cut corners on Visuals and audio because they didn’t at all.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia Although I have seen just about every documentary and heard everything there is to know about this movie since 1973. I'm fine with it being bare bones just not happy about the price.
That’s the same reason I haven’t grabbed Rio Bravo on 4k yet. It’s only one disk with no extras and that one doesn’t even have a slip cover. $30 for any 4k is a tough sell but bare bones makes it easy to say no. I do think you’ll love how this movie looks in 4k it is beautiful I have to say.
The amount of money this film made them and they can't do anything for the fans. Not only was it the 50th anniversary but also the 50th anniversary of Bruce's passing. Warner are useless and lazy. Rest in peace Bruce ❤️ 🙏
Their just incredibly cheap no matter what they do. It’s really a shame because this film is so loved by so many and Bruce Lee has had a legacy that can’t be matched. He was one of one.
@@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia Completely agree.
@@MrDravenLeeJust think, you can fly your vampire jet to NYC and watch the bald melon heads version on 35 mm this weekend! Red tint, vinegar smell, like a Pap smear run amok. Muppets are amazing🙄.
