Though Josh’s whole technique is extraordinary, I think it’s his chordal playing and vast harmonic palette that distinguish him from the other virtuosos around today. He seems to have achieved an almost pianistic level of freedom on the fretboard.

When I was a youngster I had the privilege of seeing McLaughlin, De Lucia, and Di Meola perform on the same stage in San Francisco. It was an experience I have never forgotten. I would relish the opportunity to see Meader, Hutchings, and Mancuso give a similar concert; that, I believe, would be an experience beyond comprehension!
That would be quite a neat 2023 echo of Friday night Live in San Francisco! My own personal favorite fusion version of G3 would have to be a G4: Guthrie, Mancuso, Meader and Tim Miller
