I seriously don't understand how come anyone didn't notice the colorism in this movie. When Varun Dhawan is shown coolie he's brown washed and when shown rich he's white washed. I mean srsly Bollywood needs to get over their colorism.

He is not brown washed it is the dirt and sweat, which people tend to have when they do physical labour for prolonged time. Actually their are many times in the movie when Varun's rich character has darker complexion than his real life body complexion, otherwise his swapping characters will not be possible practically.
You acted more in the first 23 seconds than Varun and Sara did in the entire film. And that's saying something.

Honestly speaking what hurted me to watch is that the way the stereotyped a Catholic always and yes a South Indian as well.

Besides being a star kid, they are NOT passionate at all for acting, they come here for easy success, money, recognition & work.

I genuinely loved and enjoyed Main Tera Hero and Judwaa 2. But I didn't enjoy Coolie No 1 at all. It's so heartbreaking to see a talented actor like Varun choosing scripts like Kalank and Coolie No 1 when he has so much potential. I'm a big fan of him and really hope he changes his career trajectory. His script sense doesn't do justice to his talent :(

I was 9 year old when the Govinda movie had come. I didn't watch it. Even as a nine year old, I had made that choice. People might be laughing, but even as a kid I had my reservations on a lot of things portrayed in that movie. David Dhawan is delusional. Varun Dhawan is loud, obnoxious and unfunny.

I did not even play/download their songs on Gaana, Spotify etc. I happened to hear a part of the song from a dance cover of one of my favourite dancers, while scrolling through IG. I'm a person who likes to see the silver lining of everything that's why I said that. I really like Sara and was quite disappointed in her inability to act, but I still think she seems like a smart and genuine person.
