I can go on about this all day but isn't every director specialized in one thing. That's what makes a director unique from the rest. The same could also be said for any other artists.

I knew this was going to be an underwhelming one when I saw the trailer which shows Sara as the female lead who cannot act and Arushi, who shows more promise than the whole film , is shown only for few moments.
And arushi was not given interview space in the overkill promotion... Thats bad 😔

Basically, Highway and Tamasha were Imtiaz's last few good films. Tamasha was probably too cerebral for people to understand and hence bombed. So now he's churning out duds like JHMS and now this redux of Love Aaj Kal to please the masses. He's staring at a big creative block.

Every Imtiaz Ali film follows these steps.
Step 1. Guy and girl meet.
Step 2. They get separated.
Step 3. They meet again.
Step 4. They stay together.
But the way of telling story is different everytime. I liked Jab We Met, Rockstar and Tamasha. Jab We Met is Kareena's best performance till date. Rockstar and Tamasha are Ranbir's best performances. Rockstar was the film that made Ranbir a superstar. But the sad part is Imtiaz who gave direction to this brother-sister duo's careers have now lost the direction of his own career. Jab Harry met Sejal was the worst Imtiaz Ali film which led him to bank on Love Aaj Kal Franchise. I hope we get the old Imtiaz Ali back someday.

But then which star kid seems to last long at the movies? Each of them is backed by brilliant PR! That's all there is to them as of now. And now everyone is aware of PR and their designed personalities! Sad!

@@berries8691 Actually I was referring to the new star kids. Ananya, Janhvi, Sara, Saiee, Ishaan and other new comers like Tara. None of them seems to be concentrating more on movies they are more into PR which involves their personality and personal life rather than their acting and movies. I agree none of the names you mentioned have over the top PR, they are indeed known for their work.

I am glad you accepted that the music of the film is great which you judged wrongly in the previous video! Also yes Kartik Aryan has a done a better job than Sara Ali Khan. And yes I too preferred the " kal" story more than the aaj one because it was very sweet and I wish it hadn't messed up that way! Also though Randeep Hooda had a brief role I fell for him , he was magic! I almost completely agree with your video just that your thumbnail is way too rude and the script was not that bad! If u see it as an individual film it's quite good , instead of continuosly comparing it with the original! But your reviews are always great and I love your videos! 😊

Actors who did good in Imtiaz Ali movies: Kareena, shahid, Ranbir, Deepika. These four immersed in their roles so naturally that none of the others together.
Maybe I am biased, but Kartik cannot be taken seriously, even when he is emotional. Maybe that is because he has played that many immature childish roles, but I cringe at every scene he is in.
When Jai confronts Meera on her wedding day, his heart filled with volcanic emotions and suddenly realising that they went too far with "no feelings" agenda in addition with ye dooriyaa in the backdrop is still as sad as it was in 2009.

The Album, with some great scenes, way much better than any Kartik's movie, and I promised myself to watch Kartik in cinema by this movie only. It was a good decision.
