    In terms of "curves" driving, I found the change is dramatic and hugely confidence inspiring. Traction, turn in, and braking stability were all immediately and obviously better. However, for my lowered car (TechArt springs) with a sport bumper, the car tends to dip harder and scrape in casual/lazy driving on rough roads. I'd like to figure out how to keep the dampers from going full soft while driving casually.

    • @nineelevensouth

      Thanks for sharing your experience. I haven't had many issues with scraping so far but something to keep an eye on.

      Ya it took the harshness out on 997 turbo and I too noticed the turning improved

    I have a 991.2 and installed this module. Also have techart springs. I understand form the folks at DSC that you should zero out the ride height sensor otherwise your not maximizing the performance of the module. It also messes with of all things, the driving light auto leveling so your lights might be off if you didn't reset. Just curious if you did that. Personally I think the ride is too soft now, but the techs at DSC said I can alter the "tuning" of the module to stiffen up the ride if I reprogram it. Will see what happens. Just my 2 cents.

      @@rsstnnr76Feels a lot less harsher, less jolting compared to the stock controller. Have them with Tractive touring semi active suspension that makes the car behave so well.

    Two specific questions: Do you know if the 997.2 measures g-force? I think that it does via an accelerometer. Second, you mentioned sweepers. That's what I'm buying this for. In the twisties, my C4S dominates. I can keep up with anyone. But in sweepers, my C4S feels uneasy, borderline shaky, and I lose confidence and back off the throttle. Have you driven any sweepers? Did you notice a big difference there? Thanks!

    • @nineelevensouth
      @nineelevensouth  2 роки тому +1

      Hey! First off, thanks so much for watching and the engagement. On the g-fource question - I'm 100% positive but if the car pulls accelerometer data the DSC should be able to use that as part of what it does. In terms of the sweepers - I definitely notice an increase in stability because the DSC is able to detect as you "load up" one side of the suspension (along the outside radius) and stiffen that side, but not the other side. It's a remarkable device that seems to improve experience in all applications.

    Interesting vid. I hadnt heard of these before. I would be sceptical of how much of this is a kind of placebo effect. Why wouldn’t Porsche engineer the software to the best possible level - unlike leaving headroom for the engine tune for low grade fuel, a hot environment etc i don’t see why they would leave unused potential in the suspension?

    • @nineelevensouth
      @nineelevensouth  3 роки тому +3

      Because like anything, they have to set up the car to be as universally applicable to everyone and consider overall build budget vs market sale price. This unit is expensive and they probably didn’t feel like the average buyer needed sophistication at quite this level vs the cost to outfit every car. The DSC Sport website has a lot more technical data on how this unit differs from the factory capabilities if you want a more in depth look.

    Hi this is all very nice, however you are testing this within us legal speed limits.... What I mean, is how reliable can this be on autobahn any european highway where you are taking curves at 150 1800 MPH on the flat or on a bridge with bumpy portions?!
    Testing it on track, cannot count as track is perfectly flat, unless i don't know you try it at Nürburgring, which is both a fantastic track and a shitty track quality wise.
    Please no disrespect but can tis DSC end up get one killed, or it does justice and can be forgiving in case the driver might make some minor wrong decision during a corner while at high speeds?!
    I would very much appreciate an opinion by some one You might know who actually pushes A porsche way above 130 MPH at ease, relaxed and for long hours....or i dont know over tall long bridges with curves and windy conditions?!...or wet?!
    could You kindly make a second video about this DSC module with more detailed information and under heavy performance car loads?!
    thank you...an Italian driver:)

    • @nineelevensouth
      @nineelevensouth  2 роки тому

      I have not tested this at autobahn speeds, sorry. Appreciate your comment though.

    • @IR-xy3ij
      @IR-xy3ij 2 роки тому

      Most smaller club level tracks are very bumpy, and I don't think the controller can get you killed especially since a lot of performance cars come with extremely bouncy suspension tuning right from the factory (for example focus rs) and most people use the controller to reduce low speed compression and rebound. Plus if something goes wrong you can always pull over. Overdriving the car is always the driver's fault.
