Thanks for the info on the "4 types" which should not exist... 1 dog, 1 type. People I know who have had their dog appraised, the judges have never measured anything.
That info about the lip proportions of the dog is interesting. I had no idea. I've seen so many boerboels on utube with the upper lip hanging way down over the lower jaw !!! 😳

Thank you for the video, unfortunately your videos make it clear how much Boerboel breeding is going in the wrong direction. In too many countries your knowledge is lacking but anyone can breed Boerboel. If things continue like this in the world, I see dark times for the Boerboel breed. Too many dogs out of balance and breeders who don't know what they're doing. You see more and more Boerboels with far too high ratings or not being disqualified. I hope your videos can help to lead to more understanding for the Boerboel breed and to get away from head and bone breeding for example. Greetings from Germany

Im building kennels at the farm to go into boerbul breeding. Just checked for the book online and there is nothing. you need to put an online version sir. So far withut sounding condenscending youre the first genuine master i have heard on boerbuls. The upper lip anecdote and all the awesome teaching makes you wonder how many real pure boerbuls are out there. Kindly advise if you do onsite visits at your kennels. i am in South Africa end november beginning December

I havent seen the dog in real life. I believe that he was a pretty good example of the breed. There is however no such thing as the perfect dog and to use a dog without extensive genetic profiling as a "popular sire" might be detrimental to the breed.
There are blue puppies born regularly as the result of a recessive gene which causes dilutions. These puppies should not be registered as Boerboels as they do not meet the breed standard and if anybody breeds with them in future, the offspring could have serious health problems. Look on Google for "Breeding of dilute dogs"
