Now this is real knowledge!!!! I’ve noticed a lot of these Boerboel’s videos are showing dogs that do not meet the breed standard.. so they’re confusing the general public on what the breed standards calls for.
Hi Johan love these videos , this is absolute gold. Can I throw a future topic suggestion on nutrition and conditioning of BoerBoels. Another fascinating topic
@@boerboelacademy I'm starting to love the breed, and I appreciate your video .I also want to breed Boerboels to the set standard. are you on Facebook? id like to one day buy a dog from you that is exactly as you describe or help me choose a good one. by the way I have 2 Boerboels one of them is the son of Brandvlei Asante. he can't be registered because his mother was not registered but she is from registred parents. I want a registered pair.
Thank you for this video. Those hanging lips with open corners in most of today's Boerboels are bothering me so much. Like that Middlepos Alpha (97.9 ?!) is not how I imagined real Boerboel should look like. I wish there where more good breeders of a true Boerboel, I am not satisfied with what I can find.
Some dogs score certain ratings simply because of who bred them or who owns them. Unfortunately the current appraisal organisation in South Africa has not been interested in any form of quality conbtrol over their appraisers.
Once to do it ethically. since they usually come into heat twice a year. I have heard of twice if first litter is very small like one or 2 pups. Cause this gives the bitch time to recupe after a litter. But that info is from the reading I have done. Also I'm not vet.
I would not breed a female Boerboel more than once a year. I would also wait until the female has reached her full physical development before breeding her for the first time. I also tried to limit the total number of litters from each female during her "productive life".
i know you expect, but the thing is the is too many boerboel breeds considering they're ancients. the is no way now you can identify the pour breed of boerboer, i can promise you that it's not easy.

Thanks for sharing sir. I learned a lot from your videos.
Excellent video as always Johan. Why don't you ever plug how to buy one of your boerboel puppies?
Hi Joey, I am only a very small scale breeder. My dogs are still my real pets and production animals. I therefore do not often have puppies for sale

Valuable information indeed. When shopping for puppies, what are the key characteristic that one should be on the look out for ?
The temperament and health of the parents
Thank you soo much 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼But I laughed a little to your jokes 🤣🤣
Oem Jo, I love your teachings. Please can you bust the aggression myth, if there is one. God bless.
Hi Thabang, I already did (partially) in one of the Mythbuster videos but I will place your suggestion on the list for a future video.

Agreed! I find it disgusting that that dog has such a high rating!

How many times can one breed a female Boer within a year?
