What an emotional roller coaster: Adesanya went from a soul-crushing loss (Pereira 1) to a triumphant victory (Pereira 2) to an embarrassing defeat all in the span of a year.
It’s cause he paint his nails
It depends on how well Sean does from here. Sean could end up making this loss look a lot better
That's what can happen when you fight frequently and I'm an izzy hater lol
Must’ve been the deal with the devil he made to pull off that pereira 2 win 😂
and that's why MMA is a better sport than boxing
I love it when Chael is serious and not being fake he talks more sense than anyone when he is just being his honest self and tells the truth
Is Chael pfizered?
I had to stop watching him bc he always lies to get views
😂😂😂 he's a fool.
They dont just call you the best ever, they call you Chael Sonnen...
Sean is God's way of checking Izzy's ego lol. This was also the funniest possible outcome, MMA is so weird.
haha wow
I've been told Adesanya is the first man to ever lose the belt twice in a year (Pereira last November, Strickland this September)
A lot to do with him being an active champ & he’s also the first 2x MW champ & maybe 3x MW champ 🤔
@@gmoney338 so now it's an achievement to lose your title, just so that you can add to your resume that you won it back in immediate rematches? Hope people like you don't normalize that. I'd rather have a long, continuous title reign than constantly losing just to win it back. What happens if Izzy wins and then a trilogy is decided, then Sean wins? Izzy gets another immediate rematch???
@@gmoney338lmao stop, Izzy pushed for this fight because he thought it would be an easy win and got mopped for 5 rounds lol
@@Truthstter must be weird to hate on a man who doesn't know you exist
@@zachnantz5304 I Can tell your an Izzy fanboy who is hurting right now, go cry to mama.
Anderson was 43 years old when Izzy fought him. Izzy was only 29 and a single fight away from the title at the time. You cannot judge the better fighter from a legacy standpoint on that fight alone. Chael needs to go back and have a rethink. Anderson was also never the same after the leg break.
By those standards Strickland is better than himself
Izzy 9 fight uf win streak
Took 7 fights to become champion
Silva 16 ufc win streak
1 fight to become champion
People have short memories in this sport
Mma is constantly evolving
@@Andromeda_CT86 yeah that's something to consider, there was less competition back then and some people got titleshots a lot easier which made their title-defenses a lot more, Aldo for example compared to Volk, Volk had to win so many fights back to back to get to the title while Aldo came in to the UFC as champion or one fight away or something like that, but I also think Izzy's title-defenses are not gonna age too well with how Romero became a statue, and how Vettori and Costa could be chewed out of top 10 soon.
chill out dude
he's just 'sharing it with you'
he brings this TO you because....
Sean had more excuses to lose than Izzy. Jet lag, short notice, passport issues, and going to Izzy's backyard.
It’s not Izzy’s backyard, Australia is not New Zealand
They didn't fight in China though
Doggybender got beat from pillar to post. China man was sent on his way with ease.
Australia DOESN'T claim Sissy
Love we keep getting Chael back on the show. Always feels like these boys can’t talk for long enough 🙌🏻
Qq😊😊
Chael is just pure magic
Chael Sonnen is a true master entertainer. A brilliant storyteller and a guy who understands promotion on a level of maybe 10 other people alive today. He drops so much knowledge on his UA-cam channel if you're paying attention and can see it for what it is. Living legend, undefeated undisputed
The people who watch him consistently understand why Dana wants the immediate rematch. They might not agree with Dana but they understand why
Chael is that you?
@@TheMightyTigz shhh 🤫
I lost all respect for Chael a long time ago. He is Dana's asskisser, and talks everything his Master wants to hear.
@@Jessie_James850 istina.
I’m glad I can say I called Sean beating Izzy. It was the perfect storm. Izzy hates forward pressure, Sean is awkward and severely offbeat, and he has the highest striking defense in middleweight history.
Did you put a bet on?
I was thinking of chucking some money on Sean by decision, but i talked myself out of it 🤐 lool..

I bet on him, but couple of other fighters cost me the parlay 😢
@@Barks_Bridge_bu

NO REMATCH! Sean walked him down and beat his azz the entire fight! Put some respect on the champions name! Sean Strickland is the man!
People saying Izzy was too active like Sean hadn’t fought more than him since July
Sean fights every day lol
Izzy with zero adjustments is ridiculous for a champion. He was still point fighting to the end
Yeah for how amazing of a fighter izzy is. Something was not clicking on that night.
Izzy is very good at one thing and when that gets shut down he has no plan B.
@@markeverhart3835I’m pretty sure he was waiting to catch Sean with something and probably thought the judges would rob Sean if it went to the scorecards 💀
@@markeverhart3835he got beat wasn’t an off night. He lost the standup to Jan, Whittaker out jabbed him and should’ve won in their fight and he got kod by pereira and was losing the rematch too. It’s not an off night when there’s a pattern
I think Saturday showed us that Chael is the middleweight GOAT
I’m sorry but Anderson in his prime is definitely better then Izzy in his prime which he is in right now. Anderson was damn near untouchable. Knock out artist, deceptive strength and I must add, he’s a Jiu Jitsu blackbelt. He had more ways to win and dominate a fight that Izzy could ever.
Izzy didn't loose with grace , he raised his hand in hope sean wouldn't verbally abuse him on the mic, then izzy skipped the post fight press conference like a coward ,
Facts, dude always wins bad and loses bad. At least Conor was super humble in victory
@@Captain_Insano_nomercy At least Conor didn’t sexually abuse his dog!
Dude just showed up to the post to get his endorsement money by scam gambling website AKA stake that they paid him to wear that stake jacket
Chael always lighten up my day
The undefeated undisputed heavy weight champ of the world is a definitive day brightener for anyone!
He lost me when he said Adesanya is above Silva because he beat him....
He has bad blood towards Silva, because just checked his ego twice, and showed him he as at best a mediocre fighter.
Ariel coping so hard for his butt buddy izzy in every interview today 😂😂😂😂
Ariel tries to direct people into whatever narrative he has..Such a Weasel
So glad chael called out Ariel with his cringe soccer takes.
Strickland winning shouldn't have been such a big upset at all. He has basically only lost to Alex at middleweight. Anyway, if Adesanya wants to win the rematch, he needs to be trained by Steven Seagal and get taught the special head kick similar to what Anderson and Machida both were taught....
Didn’t he lose to Canonier?
@@kidd3205mvpYeah but that was pretty suspect. To be fair can't really take fights to decisions and count on it these days unless you dominate.
@@jameshuggins6757he lost to Cannonier. Was a close fight though
@@mrspiff6955 personally yes I agree, using the word suspect was probably a mistake. I was just meaning to say it wasn't a fight that would really effectively change anyone's standing in the division.
Steven Seagull 😂
Silva won 16 straight fights, only started losing WAY down the line after clowning in the ring and then getting his leg snapped in half. Izzy lost 3 of his last 7 fights in his prime. Izzy is 2nd all time middleweight, but he's not close to Anderson.
Anderson is also a DRUG CHEAT!
so his legacy and status comes with an astrerisk .
Get real buddy.
Not to mention Anderson was 38 years old when he finally lost to Weidman...38. Izzy just turned 34 not even two months ago.
Anderson was still putting on absolute beating on guys and finishing almost every one of them when he was 33/34. Izzy has 5 finished in the UFC out of 16 fights. Silva has 14 finishes with 25 fights. Anderson is 100% better than Izzy is, was or could be. Silva did start losing all his fights til he was 40 older. If he stopped after losing to Weidman he would be 33-6 with 23 ko/tko, 3 subs and 8 decisions overall. And 16-2 in the UFC with 14 finished and 2 decisions. Comparing Andersons complete dominance to Izzy's wins is a joke. Silva dominated everyone he beat, for the most part. Izzy is a decision machine with a few finishes.
And he didnt look mentally switched on for Weidman. It looked like he took him lightly. Clowned in front of him etc...like he did with a few opponents in that era. If he'd retired like GSP did there'd be no debate@@curtharakaly4620
They could still do Izzy-DDP next without the title. Bad idea to book an immediate rematch when the fight wasn't competitive, and Izzy is 1-2 in his last 3 fights. Izzy would have a more compelling case if he got finished in the first but losing 4 rounds to 1 makes it harder to justify.
Nah. Who does Sean fight in the meantime? He’s fresher than Izzy right now. Let Izzy rest and put Sean against DDP early next year. Izzy hasn’t taken a long break in years. That man needs to rest for at least a year.
Izzy v DDP in South Africa would make the UFC so much money, so many great stadiums in the country, MMA crazy country. It would be HUGE
God protect uncle Chael at all costs.
I feel like Chael finally won his title on Saturday! Undefeated and undisputed! Congratulation Sean Strickland!!!
Chael talks like the volume is on 99 always....
Izzy has never been good and I’m not changing my opinion. His striking is one dimensional and completely relies on baiting people for counters and his grappling offense is non offensive while his grappling defense is overrated. None of the people izzy beat were good besides pereira and he only won via flash KO while being teed off on 🤷♂️ he was scared of 40yo Yoel, he barely beat rob the second time (credit for first time but rob is overrated as well) the Marvin fight wasn’t fun, he got dominated by Jan in the striking and grappling, he went 1-1 with a 6-1 mma fighter, went to war and barely survived against Kelvin bumselum, Jared fight sucked, and he lost his belt to a guy with zero top 5 wins. IZZY WAS NEVER GOOD MIDDLEWEIGHT WAS THAT BAD. Izzy wouldn’t be too 15 at flyweight/lightweight
i've been watching the sport since 2006 and he is legit the most overrated champion i've ever seen. Zero variety in his attack and never seems to have the ability to lead the dance or have a plan B. This is his prime and we've seen him lose several times already and have extremely close fights, and terribly uneventful boring wins like you mentioned. His prime doesn't compare to Silva's or Jone's. They have tried to force the narrative that he's the best so much since the beginning. Literally people watch him get dog walked by Sean and lose yet again and right afterwards you still have people like Rogan and Schaub saying he's better than Silva and the best striker we've ever seen? its truly baffling.
Boring fight with an mid 40s post leg break anderson aswel
The whole Izzy is better than Anderson thing is really upsetting. It really shows how little we care for the Legends of MMA, it doesn't matter how much you did for the sport or how insane your skills were, as soon as a new hot kid appears, everyone already puts him in the GOAT discussion. Darren Till is a big example of that, his career was destroy by the massive expectations that we had on him. Rhonda Rousey is another example, the first women in history to ever throw a punch, the UFC did a massive marketing stunt on her, calling her the PIONEER of female MMA, shaping society perspective and completely forgetting of all the outer woman who were truly responsible for making FMMA a thing. It isn't about respect, skill or legacy, it's about MONEY.
At flyweight? Flyweight is the worst division in the sport
@@Jp-do9nyflyweight is the worst divison??? Wtf?
Chael promotes Monster but drinks Red bull, that too on tv. What a Legend 👏
Every time Chael mispronounces a fighter's name, an angel gets it's wings.

No way in hell Izzy gets immediate rematch. He is 1-2 in past 3 fights and he just lost convincingly. Izzy should be fighting the winner of Khamzat Acosta
Sean did what Chael did in Sonnen vs Silva 1. Minus the choke at the end
Chael. What a blast from the past story. I almost forgot about the biggest UFC upset conversation. I love Chael and the old school UFC stories!! 👍🏼👍🏼
These two are on the brinks of feud 💯

11/01/2023 what did I say? 😂😂😂
I think people aren't aware of what a superstar Strickland actually is. I here the most casual of mma fans geeking out about how real Strickland is. Woke culture is so 2020. The people want real. The future is real.
Did you just misspell "hear" or did you admit to being the most casual of mma fans?
These two getting together will never get old.
The way Izzy lost dropped him down a lot on my middleweight GOAT list. Compare him to Silva, and he's too one dimensional. He couldn't get it done on the feet and he was stuck getting outclassed by Strickland's striking. Compare that to Silva who we've seen be able to find success on the ground or with his clinch game. Also compare him to Volk who can switch up his game when he needs to and find other ways to win other than just striking.
Silva and Sean respect the sport of boxing, Izzy does not
I hate to be this guy who sounds like a bandwagoner, but I've been saying this for years: Izzy is not as good as people say. I grew up in the prime Silva era and I recall what a living God looked like, to me Izzy never came close to that
It feels good to be vindicated
@@Captain_Insano_nomercy I do think Izzy is great, remember he cleared a division & rematched Rob who also cleared out what Izzy left behind.
He beat someone Strickland lost to in Alex & Jared.
Izzy does need more tools, needs to adapt multiple stances such as a boxing stance as well as a maybe even a high guard to counter pressure fighting.
His jab was coming from the hip & that I believe lost him the fight. It took too long to get to the target, surprised where he didn't fix that midfight. Maybe he doesn't know any other way to fight?
Strickland just might have his number, tho.
He also needs to develop a ground game, but
@TheFireStarter1215 the biggest knock on Izzy is that he never fought a born wrestler. He fought guys who wrestled but no true wrestlers
I was in the arena and bearly anyone was up for Israel
Strickland is UFC Karma
Rumor is that Izzy didn’t train & stayed home squeezing it to Anime.

Thank you for calling out Uncle Chael about Aljo and a rematch
I don't think Chael has a clue about 95% of guys in the ufc yet chaell says hes begrudgingly the best mind in mma.
All that said I'm disappointed af with chael saying izzy no question deserves a rematch Which In my best khabib impression to chael " stupid guy. Your a real stupid guy"
Chael isn't the smartest guy in the sport by a country mile. However he is the best p4p#1 when it comes to teaching young fighters how to gain popularity but even more importantly, keeping that new found Fandom.
When will we hear someone talk good about Sean Strickland
I think it's BS that Isreals getting a rematch. Issy never called for a rematch they thought Issy deserved a rematch he never asked for it. Otherwise, they never gave funkmaster a chance to call out for rematch .
How can people forget one of the biggest upsets in History TJ Dillashaw vs Renan Barao!
Don’t remember the feeling at the time
I know Renan was a world beater, but was TJ really that doubted to win at the time?
TJ was ranked#4 +580 underdog and Barao was 34 winning streak. -825 favorite
No rematch. He lost two out of three in his last.
This is pure gold - two of the best together again
I’ll say it again this should be weekly!
Uncle Chael is the type of hero this world needs.
Totally an upset but I put it in the same category as Barao/Dillashaw, Dos Anjos/Pettis, Pena/Nunez 1.
Why do i keep hearing Adesanya is the MW Goat.
izzy does not deserve the rematch after fighting backwards the entire time and losing 4 rounds. izzy is 3-2 in his last 5. 1-2 in last 3. only reason dana is pushing for rematch is because sean is difficult to deal with as a champion
NO REMATCH NO REMATCH NO REMATCH
Golden take on Sean's standup approach and skills by Chael
The Bad Guy is P4P #1 on the mic in mma, The GOAT. Good one Ariel.
For a rematch, all Sean has to do is improve his punching power and add takedowns to his game plan just to then get up and continue to jab and defend relentlessly.
If he manages to incorporate takedowns from that Philly shell position so it doesn't give it away, Izzy will be even more confused and overwhelmed than last Saturday.
Here just for chael as usual
This is the first time I can’t listen to Chael he just said Izzy deserves a immediate rematch and that he’s the GOAT of the MW division 🤦♂️🤦♂️
I love it when these two collab 😂
I love these crossover episodes
16:28 actually aljo did call for a rematch after the fight with Sean during the post press.
As expected & to nobody's surprise, Helwani & Chael (along w/Luke Thomas) have the the most cringe takes on the UFC293 main event imaginable.
On schedule lol
How does Luke Thomas have a cringe take on this though lol?, the dudes a pathetic shill but his take is spot on.
How so?
Interesting that that MMA media has a kind of distain for Sean Strickland. Like he isn't worthy of the belt.
I love it that Chael's last dog bender lost😂
@2:38 "Dubreecus Du Pleezy" I haven't watched a Chael video in a while, and forgot his pronunciations are gold 🤣
Does Izzy deserve an immediate rematch? F*** NO! However if Colby could get an undeserved title shot over Belal I have zero problem with Strickland vs Izzy 2.
Plus they say Colby is getting a shot over Belal cause the UFC is a business and Leon vs Colby does better numbers than Leon vs Belal (which I'm not denying btw) HOWEVER who's dumb enough to believe Strickland vs DDP does better numbers than Strickland vs Izzy 2?!
The boy on the cover of UFC will get infinite rematches that sounds like UFC is WWE
Chris Curtis could probably take Izzy
Chael had the nerve to say middleweight Adesanya is the goat because he beat Anderson. Anderson was 43 Adesanya was like 28. That means If somebody beat Jon Jones he will be the new MMA goat?!
Ariel and the Bad Guy needs to make a return, I would listen to them everyday
Ariel refusing to give Sean his praises and trying to lead the convo with a myriad of excuses for his boy crush Izzy...so typical of this rat weasel scum.

Over the moon for Sean and in so far as future PPV numbers well love or hate people will pay. NOT every fighter can have movie parts in Black Panther for example... The fighters like Sean work hard and so what is they are not poster boys? I see the UFC as snobs and the face must fit... Well its the fight game not the celeb game. Listen to Sean and just read between the lines when he speaks.. he is funny... Charming in his own way.... Humble enough to know he is lucky in what chances he has had... Oh and intelligent enough to know what he dose best in the cage.. What you see is what you get with him... If its not for you or it is for you its genuine. He can easily go on to be bigger than any UFC star and he will be the first to say why me?
Du Plesis vs Cannonier makes sense
The mental game is fake, says the guy who folded in every championship fight. I give to you, the Mike Tyson syndrome, where fighters lost before they stepped into the ring. Judges don't use that criteria, obviously, but it can affect breathing, reflexes, and even power. Your mental state
