    Oh man you're right, these bloopers are from the final season, a season that was very tough for them all and yet these blooper scenes show that their chemistry was very well intact. I love it when Bruce leans down on Cybill a couple times. The recipe for the on-screen chemistry of Davie and Maddie was definitely the attraction between the actors.

    I really enjoy the bloopers. It was season 5 and they were still having fun! I think the press probably stretched the truth on them not getting along. They worked really hard and it showed with just how good the show was. I have loved every season. It's a show that can never be replaced.

      Thank you. I was just thinking the same thing (the not getting along thing, not all the other...). I mean, I haven't seen it since it was currant and just ran across it here and was pretty sure I liked it a Lot but was starting to think I misremembered the fighting and stuff, so thank you. Now if only I could remember that Peirce Bronson series he was doing when he was offered the James Bond role. Don't suppose there's anyone out there that could/would help me out on that one. Man! losing your memory can be very frustrating!

      @Denise Herschel @rwbutters Actually if you watch interviews with Glen Gordon Caron, Bruce and Cybill they admit that they both started resenting each other which is why they had them separate for a handful of episodes the final two seasons. Though it was also Bruce getting into movies and Cybill being unhappy with everything too that derailed the show. They had their moments here because they still had a great chemistry and were still in character in some ways but the show ended because Bruce and Cybill couldn't work together anymore and it derailed the show and killed the ratings leaving fans with a terrible series finale. You guys as fans really need to look at the behind the scenes stuff lol.

      @kendallrivers1119 I have looked at the behind the scenes stuff and there were many workers on the show that said although thier were arguements and such, the media blew alot of the trouble way out of proportion. Even Bruce and Allyce admitted that in interviews years later.
      Yes they were having trouble due to the way the show was being filmed ..very long days and Cybill wanted to spend time with her kids and Bruce wanted to make movies. They just lost interest after awhile. But it cozldnt have been too bad because they filmed Moonlighting memories together as well as he invited her to his roast and he was very happy to see her. I think it was just they were so exhausted ,ect at the end of the show it became a chore and they took thier discontent out on each other.

      @sheppygawdog1954 Рік тому

      The Problem was that the comedy films he did weren't as good as moonlighting. His best action movies had elements of comedy; 1-3 DieHards, Pulp Fiction, and Fifth element that's what made them great. His moves like Sith Sense Unbreakable Trilogy and Sin City were devoid of comedy, but they were groundbreaking. Moonrise Kingdom is a good capstone to him as a star because it's Comedic. All the other stuff he did was for the paycheck. He had a gigantic career and made some timeless movies and one unique Rom-Com Series that’s Will never be duplicated. Moonlighting is Boy pursues girl, gets girl, looses girl and gets girl back. That's all Rom Com.

    1. i'm pretty sure they didn't hate eachother, they just weren't friends and argued time to time. they had ups and downs, just like their characters. watching these bloopers from s5 they don't look like enemies or anything like that and their chemistry is anything but gone.
    2. also i'm sure the real problem, the real 'Moonlighting curse" is Glenn Caron leaving around s4. with him the show'd have gotten a beautiful & funny ending David & Maddie would have deserved!

    I don't think that Bruce and Cybil hated each other. They just didn't care for each other and that isn't a crime. It was work. You are not always friends with those you work with. It was their job. When the cameras rolled...we got magic because they became Maddie and David and that chemistry was lightning in a bottle.

      Well it became a problem when it got so bad that they wouldn't film together and the show suffered immensely. Ed O'Neill and Amanda Bearse from Married with Children handled their feud better. They didn't care for each other but it never got in the way of the show unlike Bruce and Cybill.

    Have been getting into Moonlighting and It really was a kick ass show the first 4 and a half seasons! It's too bad how it all fell apart. Bruce and Cybill are two very different personalities and it's expected that such opposing personalities wouldn't jive but it's too bad a great show got ruined because of it. Bruce was becoming a movie star and couldn't care less about doing Tv anymore, it was just a pay check from then on and Cybill from all I read and heard was just not happy for some reason.
    Though it's not all the fault of Bruce and Cybill's egos and diva mentalities. Glen Gordon Caron was fired off his own show which I think officially killed it. I do wish they got a real series finale though. What happened with Maddie's accountant in the pilot that took all her money? That would've been a great finale story to bring it full circle.

Maddie has tried to "squeeze" from David his feelings for her ever since he kissed her. She came to Davis's apartment after Sam proposed because she wanted David to confess his feelings. She got jealous of Jillian and Stephanie-I think.
    She followed Davis to New York and was deeply hurt that he didn't tell her that he was married.

From the beginning Hayes was portrayed as a classy woman so to me it was almost disgusting to see Maddie in bed with Sam. Classy women don't sleep with men who they don't love and the fact that Maddie is thinking about David the moment after having sex with Sam proves to me that she didn't love Sam.
