Oh man you're right, these bloopers are from the final season, a season that was very tough for them all and yet these blooper scenes show that their chemistry was very well intact. I love it when Bruce leans down on Cybill a couple times. The recipe for the on-screen chemistry of Davie and Maddie was definitely the attraction between the actors.
I really enjoy the bloopers. It was season 5 and they were still having fun! I think the press probably stretched the truth on them not getting along. They worked really hard and it showed with just how good the show was. I have loved every season. It's a show that can never be replaced.

Man! losing your memory can be very frustrating!
@Denise Herschel @rwbutters Actually if you watch interviews with Glen Gordon Caron, Bruce and Cybill they admit that they both started resenting each other which is why they had them separate for a handful of episodes the final two seasons. Though it was also Bruce getting into movies and Cybill being unhappy with everything too that derailed the show. They had their moments here because they still had a great chemistry and were still in character in some ways but the show ended because Bruce and Cybill couldn't work together anymore and it derailed the show and killed the ratings leaving fans with a terrible series finale. You guys as fans really need to look at the behind the scenes stuff lol.
@kendallrivers1119 I have looked at the behind the scenes stuff and there were many workers on the show that said although thier were arguements and such, the media blew alot of the trouble way out of proportion. Even Bruce and Allyce admitted that in interviews years later. Yes they were having trouble due to the way the show was being filmed ..very long days and Cybill wanted to spend time with her kids and Bruce wanted to make movies. My favorite episode was when they did 'The Taming of the Shrew"...I nearly rolled on the floor laughing..and the end line "WE HATE IAMBIC PENTAMETER"..classic.
I don't think that Bruce and Cybil hated each other. They just didn't care for each other and that isn't a crime. It was work. You are not always friends with those you work with. It was their job. When the cameras rolled...we got magic because they became Maddie and David and that chemistry was lightning in a bottle.
Well it became a problem when it got so bad that they wouldn't film together and the show suffered immensely. Ed O'Neill and Amanda Bearse from Married with Children handled their feud better. They didn't care for each other but it never got in the way of the show unlike Bruce and Cybill.
You can hear the pain in her voice when she spoke to David in that hotel room. And then she told him that he's not the one...come on!!!! I know that Cybil got pregnant and they had to find the way to explain her absence but they went with the worst possible plot. People waited so long for these two to get together but it never really happened.
They did get together in the 3rd season episode 7 or 11 I think Maddie was in the title. They were supposedly rolling around on the floor but Bruce had hurt his shoulder skiing. They also used body doubles fairly often.
