This is one of MANY hits written by the great songwriter, Diane Warren. She was amazing!!! The first hit that she wrote to make the charts was "Rhythm Of The Night" by DeBarge. She had back-to-back songwriting #1 hits when "Blame It On The Rain" (Milli Vanilli) knocked "When I See You Smile" (Bad English) out of #1 in late 1989. She wrote "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" for Aerosmith, "How Do I Live" for LeAnn Rimes (#1 song of the 90's), and TONS of other hits for many artists. She was a phenomenon. So many classics wouldn't be around without her writing skills!!!

"White Rabbit" is not from Starship but rather from Jefferson Airplane, the female singer (Grace Slick) is the same.
The all story goes like this:
      > Jefferson Airplane were a big rock band from the 60s, that created what was called as psychedelic rock. They headlined a lot of big concerts at the time, including Woodstock, and they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996.
Grace Slick was the vocalists and singer of "White Rabbit" (which she also wrote).
In 1972, Jefferson Airplane split into two bands, Hot Tuna and Jefferson Starship, Grace Slick was part of the second band.
In 1984, the last remaining founding member of Jefferson Airplane left Jefferson Starship and took legal action over the name.
Hence Starship was born (with an all new change in musical direction), with the only member of the old band being Grace Slick. She retired from music in 1990.

This was the 80's mood summed up in one song, that's why it feels nostalgic to you even though you weren't around back then. That's how you make a classic that will live on for generations, it lifts your spirits.

That movie is nostalgic for me. If you want to hear a great song from the band, give "Count on Me" from Jefferson Starship.

I've loved this song since I was a kid. I also kept that movie featured in the video, Mannequin, on repeat. You should check it out.
