Great tip , turn you jig upside down turn you pork rind 360 degrees and it’s pops off . Put it back in your jar it gets better the more it’s used. Thanks for sharing.
Gabe good tips for everyone on fishing a jig in winter. Down sizing the jig is important, adding a piece of Berkley worn does two things adds scent and stop the pork from rolling over on the hook. I also like to take a pair of pliers and squeeze the fat part of the pork chunk, this thins it out and makes it look more lifelike. Keep up the good videos, love all this winter bass fishing.
Good tip. I never knew what “pork” was. Good to know they’re reusable. Are they easy to lose if you rig em in the hole that’s there or does it depend on how the fish takes it? Great video. Definitely winter fog fishing. Thanks for sharing.
Uncle Ron got me fishing pork again. Very rarely do you loose a pork frog. As long as you dip them in the water occasionally and put them back in the jar after use they last a long time.
I Cringe when people rig it upside down like that... Randy Blaukat just had a video he said when people rig it upside down like that it's like a newbie fishin a spinning reel upside down.lol.but hey if it works for ya...atleast u admitted u were riggin it upside down.
Rigging it upside down slows the fall n gives it a little glide. You can rig jig trailers different ways to manipulate the action of the bait. There’s really not a “right way”Try it sometime. Sorry for the cringe 😁.
Love the old school jig and pig. 👍
Same Don.
Thanks for posting.
Welcome. Thanks Jerry.
Couldn't scroll by, solid thumbnail and title, good tip too
Thanks Rich. Working on my thumbnail game.
Good job. Old style jig fishing with Uncle Josh pork. I've caught a lot of bass on the Lake of the Ozarks with a jig and pig.
Yup. The original bass slayer.
That is some "Back in the day" stuff with those Uncle Josh's Pork Rind baits, oh the memories you brought back!
Going old school baby. 😜

Thanks. I’ll use that tip. Sometimes it’s a pain to get off the hook.

Good stuff. Thanks for the tips.
Thanks Doug.
Great tip. I also like to use a craw imitator like the ZMAN Pro Craw when it is cold. It has a subdued action, and the claws float up really well.
Thanks for the tip. Zman makes some good plastics
My pops was big on that first tip with trimming the skirt “nothing in nature is perfectly straight boy its ok if its a lil off… mite be better”
Your pops knew what he was talking about. Thanks for checking out the video buddy

The new Uncle Josh sucks. Glad I’ve still got a couple dozen old jars
