Easily the best cold weather bass video. I’ve been bass fishing over 40 years. Glad to see someone else who knows what wintertime fishing is all about. Godspeed fellow fisherman, and please keep our waters clean.
Dang Hackney... No wonder u the GOAT! You grew up in and still live in the mecca of bass fishin. You real familiar with erry thing in the water. Huge fan of the jig. Got a lot of confidence in jigs.
Thanx Greg. Do you remember Denny Bs original Strike King jig. Had that 3 barrel rattle, strong hook (sometimes it was sharp) and the head went thru most cover. I put a mess of bass in the boat with that jig. Now everybody and their uncle throws jigs. I'm not sure that loud rattle would help or hurt anymore. Met Denny after his 3rd back surgery and my 1st back surgery. Good guy if your not in the back of his boat.
Thank You for being a great ambassador to this sport. More important, taking the time to be a teacher of techniques and lures. Seems the young guns love to hide everything they are using when the camera is in the boat. Awesome video!!!
Coming from best jig fisherman there is. And he's telling you the truth bout winter time bass fishing. The jig will crush them in winter time. Fish rock piles, and. Brush piles, you will catch them!!!!!
Hi, Greg! I'm a jig fanatic as well. I'm curious, have you ever fished Bodcaw (lake Earling) on the other side of Magnolia, Arkansas? It's a phenominal jig lake. I weighed over 26 lbs. in a tourney over there a couple years ago. Had a 9.25 big bass. It's a fine lake. By the way, I will never forget you complimenting my bag of fish at Falcon and you having 39lbs. 12. Oz. In your live well! Incredible! Anyway, if your up here in South Arkansas and want to hit Bodcaw, look me up!
I fish bodcau out of a pirogue all of time. I love getting deep into the creeks and swamps. I prefer fishing out of a bass boat but there is something about getting way back into bodcau in a pirogue that just calls to me.

I’m loving the signature’s series rod ?
That rod is a great one, glad you like it.
How often do you use living rubber ;
Grate show, why does the line go under the rod blank and guides in the top 4 or 5 guides, I had 2, 7"6 rods broke both Lews speed stick .

That’s cool. Does the lake have docks or cypress trees? What kind of cover do you usually find them on?
Why did you switch from Rage Craw to KVD Chunk?
U want less action in colder water
Gotta be adaptable now days cant just beat the banks at every lake and expect to win or even do good gotta learn shallow fishing and deep fishing
