Great list! And Slowdive was my favorite album for 2023. I was surprised that I liked it as much as their early work. But I haven't listened to the Blonde Redhead album yet (embarrassed as they are one of my favorite bands).
You’re in for a treat! Their new album is incredible, after the lengthy break and a few that didn’t quite land for me personally. Glad you enjoyed the list!
I caught them live when they did their 3-day Texas tour earlier this year and it was phenomenal! I saw them probably half a dozen times or more back in their original heyday, and they've been one of my favorite bands since their debut EP landed on my desk at the old college radio station in WA.
You'll have to let me know what you think of the new B&S. Doesn't reach the heights of their early work if you ask me, but still worthy of my top 10! I'm curious to hear if anything you check out sparks any purchases! That Voxtrot one -- my recommendation would be to give their "Early Music" comp a listen as one from 2022 is pure gold IMHO.
Nice list. Slowdive made my top 10 as well, Shanty's pulse is amazing. Beach fossils made my Hon. mentions. Dare Me is a fantastic single, love the jangle!
Beach Fossils is quite different from the band's other stuff, but I love it all. It was a solid release this year! Yeah... I have an affinity for jangle for sure.
Beach Fossils, Morby, and Tennis were great and deserve more listens from me. The others i need to check out. Thanks for the list! Here's mine: 1. The Lemon Twigs - "Everything Harmony" 2. Darlingside - "Everything is Alive" 3. Charles Wesley Godwin - "Family Ties" 4. Foo Fighters - "But Here We Are" 5. Boygenius - "The Record" 6. Slowdive - "everything is alive" 7. Sleep Token - "Take Me Back To Eden" 8. Mondo Drag - "Through the Hourglass" 9. Chris Stapleton - "Higher" 10. Lana Del Rey - "Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd" Honorable Mentions 1. Balance and Composure - "Too Quick to Forgive" (2 song EP) 2. Paul Simon - "Seven Psalms..." (a whole album in one 30+ minute track) 3. Feist - "Multitudes" 4. Kara Jackson - "Why Does the Earth Give Us People to Love?" 5. Sufjan Stevens - "Javelin" Instrumental Albums and Film Scores 1. Ludwig Goransson - Oppenheimer Soundtrack 2. East Forrest + Peter Broderick - "Burren" 3. Alexis Ffrench - "Peace" (EP) 4. Hans Zimmer - The Creator Soundtrack 5. Joe Hisaishi - The Boy and the Heron Soundtrack
There's some great stuff on your list, and a handful I am not familiar with and need to check out! Will be adding those to my list for sure... Thanks for chiming in with your favs!

So excided about Voxtrot!!! I had to pause the video and go to bandcamp.

@@AndyFenstermaker I only remember their 1st album, in which I really liked. This one has an excellent guitar tone on many of the tracks.
@@RandoRod I'd say my favorite continues to be their 2013 album Clash The Truth. I definitely recommend checking that one out!
My god, You are one of mines
