Grande interpretazione quasi insuperabile,per fraseggio, legato e acuti emessi con sicurezza, cantando dal vivo e col pianoforte...se ne trova pochi a questo livello.saluti

Maravilloso!!!!, realmente uno de los mejores tenores dramáticos de todos los tiempos. Un color de voz robusto pero tierno y heroico a la vez (según el rol y el texto). Una musicalidad singular, y un talento vocal único...ero me llama más aún la atención el fraseo que tiene, canta hasta las partes más difíciles de esta aria, como si fuera fácil!!!! Uno de los artistas líricos más completos de los últimos tiempos. BRAVOOOO!!!!!
Ich höre und bewundere Giacomini seit 50 Jahren und habe ihn persönlich erlebt, Seine stimmliche und darstellende Ausstrahlung ist für mich persönlich das beste was ich bisher von dramarischen Tenören gehört habe,
Auch als MENSCH ist er eine Persönlichkeit, die mir immer in Erinnerung bleiben wird. Der dramatischste Tenor unseres Jahrhunderts !

@KissaMyEyes The greatest example of retaining the youthful freshness in his voice through superb technique & husbanding his vocal resources, was perhaps Tamagno, at least as far as the tenors go. At 54, & dying of angina pectoris, his voice still sounded like a 20 year old making his debut. Quite incredible, considering that he only sang the heaviest roles in the tenor repertoire. For basses, it must be Mark Reizen, who still sounded magnificent on stage at 90!

this is late in his career and he was singing in unpopular theaters...big theaters didnt wanna book him because he was too old and not good for business.So yeah the audience apparently didn't know the aria... very sad.

Peccato... Lui è sempre e sempre sarà ungrande tenore.. Una grande voce.. Ma già era mezza scassata.. La sua voce.. Fiati più corti.. E il vibrato oscillante.. Quasi tendeva a cambiare l intonazione delle note.. Cmq. Grande voce.. Giacomini.. Io l ho sentito. Circa 20 anni fa.. Al v. Bellini di Catania.. Nei pagliacci.. Anche lì.. Quella sera ci fur qualche problema. Alle corde vocali... La vo e sempre scura e potente ma sgradevole per l ascolto..
Purtroppo la tecnica dell'affondo della laringe oltre ad essere per pochi eletti che reggono lo stress che essa porta all'apparato vocale, non permette di essere liberi nel canto, non permette un degno fraseggio e costringe a quella posizione del viso/gola come se ci si stesse tirando indietro. Per me nulla di buono. Questi personaggi come Del Monaco, Giacomini e molti altri riuscivano a combinare qualcosa di buono "NONOSTANTE LA TECNICA". E poi insomma, ascoltate Corelli o Lauri Volpi o Gigli o Pertile o Merli e se avete orecchie per intendere non c'è bisogno di tante parole per capire che non è il modo corretto di cantare quello di Giacomini.
Qualcosa di buono...Del Monaco,Giacomini,Cecchele,Merighi,Martinucci,Mori,e moltissimi altri che praticavano "l'affondo"????(Corelli stesso aveva studiato l'affondo e lo insegnava agli allievi).
@Albert B. Evans non è questione di inorridire... Ho visto tanti ragazzi disperati nel perdere la voce e nell'impantanarsi in questa tecnica totalmente fuorviante e ripeto, riservata a pochissimi che sono riusciti a reggere questa caricatura per anni. Non ho nulla contro giacomini che anzi, si è sempre speso a favore di questa arte meravigliosa con sincera passione e dedizione. Saluti.

The lip expressions were horrible to watch. One knows he is depressing the larynx, and tightening the delivery. Have a look or listen to MDM who was also a dramatic tenor. The King was Franco Corelli, who even labelled as a Spinto, we could hear lift the voice behind the soft palate. The modern version of Giacomini is Jonas Kaufmann who also constricts the larynx. Our guy has sung better than this, and better songs , that is, more appropriate for the age of his voice.
