I’m not Polynesian but this is great to see that your culture is still thriving. In Hawaii, american culture has diluted the old ways a lot. Even though Hawaiian culture survives, it’s nothing like your video shows. Keep the videos coming!

Now this is the traditional, of all traditional ways they prepare and make the uma. You don’t see this as much anymore, you see most have adapted to the modern forms such as the use of foils. Not sure but anyone else but u can definitely taste the difference. Either way both preparation methods are yummy.
