"The Fall and Rise ...... " . This is the fall part and later comes the rise, you wouldn't guess how this series pans out.keep watching. It's so off the wall. Love it.
i think a lot of people dreamed of abandoning their boring , mundane lives and starting again with a whole new life and identity to hopefully appreciate life more and do something more fulfilling. reggie was acting out their dreams
Was for me in 2019. Same bus, same people, same trains to work, same people, same job, same people, same trains home, same people, same bus, same people, home. Eat. Sleep. Up for work. Same bus, same people, same trains... Then Covid and lockdowns hit. And the mundane life, wfh, hybrid working, mixed it all up.
Glad to see you doing Reggie Perrin again. This show is based on a series of novels by David Nobbs. As result the tv show is serialized, with one part directly following on from the previous one. I realize you watch a lot of different shows and cover various topics, but this show pays off when you watch each series (or season) all together, one after another. There's a flow to these episodes, much like chapters in a novel.
I like his speech. Human beings weren't meant to stare at computer screens all day in stuffy offices. When I had a miserable job working for my local council, every day I had to turn right at a roundabout and pull into the car park, and every day I fantasised about turning left and buggering off somewhere.
