Toro Lawn Mower Won't Self-Propel. Adjust Mower Drive Cable.

Try this before you replace the drive belt. Adjust the Toro 22” self-propel front wheel drive (FWD) cable. After the drive cable is tightened, the mower can sel-propel again.

Thanks so much! Worked like a charm (even though cable didn't seem loose). Mine has a knob: I loosened it and moved the cable forward, then tightened. All better now! Saved me money and much effort as I've been using it w/o self-propel; now much easier to push!

@@DanMarketL i grabbed my cresent wrench and made adjustments fixed it. The belt came off last time I was mowing. I just slipped it back on and didn't see any adjustment close to pulley. Thanks again. I thought belt had stretched....mower isn't a year old.....
