I get a sense of sweetness from this piece. Like sitting down outside in the morning with a piece of pie in autumn. I look out towards a bright windy field of yellow and orange eating pie while i take in the glorious view infront of me.

My goodness, what wondrous little pieces! Wasn't expecting to like these as much as I do... Wow...

A pair of lovely violin sonatinas! Both contain a freshness and melodic beauty one might not expect from a pair of mid-20th-century sonatinas, and they contain a balanced blend of fun and emotional depth to keep you hooked throughout. All this wrapped up in the top-notch performances of the Eduard Grach and the composer himself! I can hear influences of Myaskovsky in the first sonatina, and of Catoire in the second one, and an overall coloration akin to Medtner, great composers to learn from, and all as underrated as Svetlanov the composer; of course, it would be silly to not acknowledge Svetlanov's own voice in these gems. These really ought to be played more often. Thank you for posting these!

This is so beautiful. I don't know why it's not part of the standard repertoire.

1:20 and 14:26 are so nice, besides the audio not being the best, the double-stops are such a nice edition to the piece

@@franklavier I have the score for Svetlanov's piano preludes, here they are: www.dropbox.com/s/s007vyiirgojhzy/%D0%A1%D0%B2%D0%B5%D1%82%D0%BB%D0%B0%D0%BD%D0%BE%D0%B2%20-%20%D0%94%D0%B2%D0%B5%D0%BD%D0%B0%D0%B4%D1%86%D0%B0%D1%82%D1%8C%20%D0%BF%D1%80%D0%B5%D0%BB%D1%8E%D0%B4%D0%B8%D0%B9%20%D0%B4%D0%BB%D1%8F%20%D1%84%D0%BE%D1%80%D1%82%D0%B5%D0%BF%D0%B8%D0%B0%D0%BD%D0%BE.pdf?dl=0
Unfortunately, page 43 seems to be missing from the file I downloaded it from. I'm not sure why it's not there, but I added files with the violin parts to both sonatina files.
I'm still searching for the Violin Sonata. I found a forum which has the audio as a .rar file, but you need to have an account to download it (which I still don't have). mmk-forum.com/showthread.php?t=33102

It seems more like the first piece with three movements was a sonata, while the second with a single movement was a sonatina, but sure, name it whatever you want, right?
