idk why but it feels like every single after effects tutorial that has ever been made doesn't account for anything that could go wrong. I follow instructions to the letter and it just doesn't work and it's driving me insane. Like how come your time*40 expression doesn't just make your planet spin in place? how is it on the ring path? nobody ever says anything like this in tutorials you all act like it just works

totally true, time*40 expression will not make the planet follow the orbit
you gotta make sure the anchor point is placed in the center of the composition otherwise the rotation will rotate the circle itself
